What winter fashion are you loving this season?

I'm really liking the roll neck knit dresses and tunic shift style dresses, with tights or leggings.

And wedge ankle boots, gives the height but without the pain of heels. I've been stalking the postie for these which just arrived:

Also wanting to get a below the knee flat pair in a suede style, but don't like any i've seen lately....

I'm liking the skinny leg jeans but don't have the figure to pull them off this year unfortunately!

I've seen denim coloured leggings around though so probably get a pair to go with the dresses.

They were $425 down to $197 (which i know is still obscene :redface:) But the leather is amazing, i have never felt leather so soft! and for the height they are unbelievably comfortable. And yeah whether wedges are in or not i'll still wear them so i will get my money's worth ;)

I love beret's but don't know if they suit me...?

At home i like the woolly hats that have flaps over your ears LOL, i call them beaver hats, not sure what they're actually called?

I actually saw some at Kmart the other day! They were a bit thin though quality wise, but with boots and a warm dress they'd be fine.

I'm loving the military style fashion, especially the jackets, but couldn't resist this dress! Just arrived in the mail:

Oh me too have always be a lover of the military style, something sexy about ;) ... Tried on a military black Winter coat in Target the other day but looked better on the hanger than on me :rolleyes:

M .. i say go for the red beret to wear with that gorgeous dress, hat's don't look great with my style of hair so i got my DD last Winter a red beret it looked so adorable on her :D

So far i have three Mac eyeshadows i got from Myer in Melb CBD and they were with gift vouchers, LOL i'm addicted just wish they were cheaper than $32 a pop ... will for sure add to my itty bitty collection ... Hey TD if ya ever interested we could met up at Myer CBD and head straight to the Mac counter and grab a coffee after ;)

I haven't really seen much that I *love* so far this season... I'm glad that over-the-knee boots are back again but I'm more a lace-up, thigh-high (hooker lol!) kinda girl, so I'm still holding out for the $1500 boots that Willow did last season :( Most OTK boots I've seen so far this season are pirate-style (ie really wide at the opening and no heel), no good :(


ETA: Okay, military-style jackets. I want one. Cropped, preferably, although I don't have the waist/hips for it... it just looks so cute! I might even invest in a leather bomber/biker this year, we'll see how I go ;)

I hear you, buckles and studs seem to be on all of them this winter! Though i have seen very plain ones at Rivers which usually make good quality shoes, so they might be leather... but the styles were a little um, nanna, reminded me of homy peds (no offence ;))

TD my PND affects my motivation but I find if i try to make an effort to look better i do feel better. Though hey i still have days where i'm still in my pjs come dinner time! And they're not fancy ones either, i tend to skimp on pjs because no one sees them.

Winter, I spent all last winter looking for brown leather flat boots and ended up just getting synthetic ones. They're not easy to find. Probably depends on budget though, I think I probably saw some more exy leather ones but I'm not a huge spender.

I'm seriously considering spending all of winter in tights and skirts/dresses. Jeans don't really keep me warm....Hmm. I'm a fan of tunics too.

Just found a pair of brown just below the knee flat leather boots for $550! Will pm link if interested though. They're expensive, but the past few winters i've bought synthetic and they just don't last, so if you get a leather pair and they last 5 years its kind of worth it.

I wish I had a suitable physique so I could just live in warm coaty-jackets, tights and boots.

I don't follow latest trends that closely but I do love winter clothing :) I wear a hat nearly every day... All types... Love vintage coats over man style pants... Old pin stripe... Knits: vests, cardigans. Probably wear too much dark clothing in winter but black really suits. I am a winter person on the colour chart system too. Would love a comfy pair of leather brogues just to be different; I like pants and boots don't always work. When I wear my winter skirts/ dresses I often wear opaque black tights and my Mary Jane doc martins. I wear pants during the week and skirts/dresses on the weekend, usually. ATM I'm wearing a pair of Peter Alexander PJs ... Love them!

I'm out, that's waaaaay over my budget. Happy to pay around $200 but I'm with Nelle, they are hard to find. I looked last year too and ended up getting a black synthetic pair which have actually worn well. I really want leather this time though.

Oh I forgot to say, I really want a pair of ankle boots. But they can't be too high, since I have 2 little guys to chase after...

Cookiemonster I'm 15kg heavier than last winter because of the meds i was on, so none of my jackets fit. But i was looking at some "Swing Jackets" which are great for hiding the love handle area and also good for big boobs!! They usually have 2 buttons and then just flare out, if you get what i mean?

I'm looking forward to wearing gloves, I grew up in QLD so gloves just didn't happen! In Melbs now and I really want a gorgeous soft pair of black leather gloves. Oh, and hunting for old brooches and feathers to pin onto the sides of berets/beanies!

I gave away an old cropped military jacket that was in fashion about 5 years ago, and now it's back! Should have kept it! Oh well, more shopping to be done.

Grr, I just yanked out my beloved cropped trench and made myself sneeze like buggery (it's got a bit of cat hair on it lol, haven't worn it for about two years!), it's too big for me :( Looks like I might have an excuse to get my hands on a cherry-red or even leopard-print one this year ;) *grabs car keys* I'm off to begin the search!

ETA: Booties/ankle boots are back in a big way, I'm seeing them everywhere in stores here (and we don't have many stores lol, just the major retailers!), all different price ranges, too. I saw a cute little pair of black patent wedge heels the other day, I considered buying them but a 3-inch heel just doesn't cut it for me, I need BIG heels! Hoping the chunky heels of a couple of seasons ago come back, they're much comfier than pencil-slim stilettos.

My body soooo doesn't work with skinny jeans... hence the absence of boots from my wardrobe... well, I do have a pair but I also find that they are too hot. I don't drive and I'm a fast walker... boots don't seem to work... they get too hot.

I'm thrilled to learn that my hometown has a Colorado store! We might be moving back soon. I wear lots of Colorado stuff... and their shoes are VERY durable :)

Well lucky you're so stunning then Olive! You could wear a paper bag and look alright mate. Although you'd probably be a bit chilly. I'll come shopping with you any time. Not that I have that much sense either. What about a stylist sort of person. I have a friend who does that for a business.

Definitely consider ankle books Winter! I reckon they add a bit of length to legs too, sometimes I think that calf boots can sort of make legs look shorter, a bit like 3/4 leg pants can. That's why skinny/straight leg pants can be cool too. If they suit us that is.

ETA: Two of my jackets are sort of swing style. Love love. They look a bit old fashioned and I think that's cool as.

I miss winter clothes (although I don't miss winter LOL). *sigh*. I just bought a new pair of Birkenstocks today though - I'll be thinking of them as my 'winter boots'.

I bought a new denim jacket last 'winter' and wore it once. That's right, once. Over a tanktop. I love the climate here but I'm sure there's got to be a middle ground between being able to wear seasonal clothing and freezing one's butt off?

I lived in Cairns last year, brought a few pairs of boots on sale at Myers, couldent understand why no one else was buying any! Then ''winter" came and I spent it in denim skirts and flip flops, poor boots never got a look in!
