How long did it take you to fall pregnant?

Just wondering, I know everyones different but how many cycles if you were ttc or months did it take?

We fell pregnant with ds not " really" trying but took about 6 months for our recent loss.

We are going to try again soon so ......

Sorry to hear about your recent loss hun. We were IVF people but anyway. We had a loss in April, cycled again with frosties in June and no go. Then a fresh cycle in November and were lucky enough to have a healthy PG resulting in DS now 14 months. I hope it is a quick wait for you xx

Took me 12 months to the day after coming off the pill. Will be interested to see how long it takes me IF we decide to have one after coming off implanon. (That's currently a BIG IF)

With my DS is was 10 months of no contraception but not actively "trying" - plus 10 months of conciously tracking "O" and trying hard :) (so 20 months to answer your question) DH was finally discovered to have some semen issues and we concieved after 3 months of menevit and chinese herbal teas. With this bubba it was 2 months :o we were a bit surprised! We definitely expected it to take longer!

with DD it took 3 months and this pregnancy 5 months. i have endo and pcos, so was a surprise that it happened relatively quickly as was told by my specialist that i would most likely need some kind of assistance...

after my m/c in Nov last year we had a month break and then started actively tryin again the next cycle and fell pg straight away. so only 1 month :)

I am one of those revolting people who fell pg straight away :hide: I think we were officially trying for about 10 days and a couple of weeks later I got a positive test so only 1 month.

I hope it happens again quickly for you when you're ready to start trying again.....

2 years with DD and so far 8 months with TTC #2.

We started investigating why we weren't falling pregnant in 1998. We discovered both male and female infertility issues, but mine were the most problematic [azospermia] (sp?) which caused me to have problems with raising a child other than my own biological offspring. That took 5yr of counselling and once I accepted that although s/he wouldn't be biologically connected we'd still have a deep relationship, it took another few years of IUI and IVF cycles to result in the birth of our son in July. We still have known-donor sperm in storage and are debating if we should go again, but her age is now a factor, which is a subject for another thread.

It took 1.5 years and 4 cycles of clomid :/

DS1 took 3 cycles after coming off the BCP and DS2 we were actively TTC for 10-12 months but wasn't taking any contraception in between.

I'm another one of those fertile ones....

DS I wasn't really 'trying' for....but was the best thing ever...
DD took 3 months....or was it 4!!

It took 2 months for me after my miscarriage.... :)

It took us 7 months to conceive DS, then 7 months to conceive #2 which we lost at 6 weeks, and then 3 months after our loss we conceived DD.

Took DD 1.5months of trying. We thought it would take longer as I also have pcos.
With ttc number two as u can see its been a while and still nothing.

Our first pregnancy took 10 months (ended in m/c) and DS took 9 months.

DD7 I was on the pill.
DS5 I fell the month I stopped taking the pill.
#3 I fell third cycle after having a Mirena IUD removed.

I'm sorry for your recent loss and I hope your wait is short when you start TTC.

First pg it was first go, but lost it at 12 weeks. We had to wait 6 months before we could try again, and then it was in the 3rd month after that.

It took us 3 1/2 years - natural

Whenever we've felt we wanted another, we've been blessed with another...it just seems to happen that cycle....we DTD once in the month we conceived DS. My mum, my aunty, and me are very fertile.
Everyone is different though hon....i hope it happens for you soon....

It took 8mths for DD.

It took 5mths this time around.....

took us 6 or 7 months

Took us 11 months first time which ended in a m/c, then was pregnant first cycle after that with DD. This time only took one try, a nice surprise!

The first time I got pregnant on my second cycle off the pill.
The second time took about 4 months but we were only actively TTC for 2 months. The first 2 months we weren't using contraception but weren't TTC either.

about 2 goes for DD (not two months two DTDs lol), about 18months for the baby we lost at 12weeks, and then only one cycle afterward for DS.

DS1 - On the pill, so not trying
DD1 - 3 months
Noah - 18 months
DS2 - 1 months
DD2 - First try

First was 5 months after having implanon removed (took first 2-3 months to get a proper cycle).

Second was one month after stopping using condoms (had regular cycles).

We're either incredibly lucky or incredibly unlucky - depending on who you talk to. :) I prefer the former. Perhaps a little of both really. We weren't trying at all for either. Both very much a surprise.

Probably not what anyone wanted to hear.

I'm another who is pretty fertile... Two months off the pill for DD, didn't go back on it in between, AF returned when DD was around 5mths and we were pg two months later.

DD2 came of the pill as I was pregnant so didn't try at all was actually preventing
This one (including m/c x2 and then an ectopic pregnancy all up 2.6years

For DS it took 3 months after being on the pill for 2 years

for my angel bubba it took 4 cycles after stopping the pill after 3 months

2 cycles for this bubba HTH

1st attempt with DD, beginners luck!
3 cycles with DS1 (incl. an early miscarriage),
1st cycle with DS2.

13 months for DD - my cycle length varied so probably just less than 13
Still TTC # 2 and just hit the 2 year mark - cycle length varies but probably less than 24
