When you are getting 3 within 10 minutes, ring the midwife/hospital
Sounds like the real thing! I agree with Pandora, call when you're getting 3 in 10 minutes.
Good luck!
Oooo how exciting sounds like bub is on its way :)
I was told the same thing 3 within 10 minutes.
Keep us posted!!!
Go for a walk to see if they ramp up a bit :D
Wooo I'm excited babe, goodluck!!!
Yep, try the walking. I wasn't sure so went for a walk around the block. They picked up a bit & I started to realise it was the real thing.
Good luck hun! So excited for you!!!
That's not always good advice ... some people don't get them that close. When I had DS I had contractions consistently 20 minutes apart, then 10 minutes apart for an hour, then a longish break, then 20 minutes later I had the baby.
I went to the hospital when my water broke, and got there 35 mins before the birth.
i agree with the walking and the 3 in 10 but as RumpledElf said some people dont get that close so it wouldnt hurt to ring your midwife and see if you can pop in just to check how dialated you are etc
so excited, cant wait to see a BA!
OoOoOohhh!!! Sounds promising xxx
GL!!
Sorry. That's what my midwife told me to do. :redraft:
Ooh, sounds like this sure is it, hun!! I was having them 11 mins apart at well over 5cms lol, just thought my body was playing tricks on me again so I went to bed ;)
Got my fingers crossed that this is indeed your baby day and that it's an easy and positive labour for you. xoxox!!
do they stop if you have a shower or lie down? Do you need to rock/moan through them? If they don't stop, then they're likely to be the real thing. Call you midwife when you feel ready.
Not sure just want to say good luck!!
Sounds promising. Good luck!! I hope you are holding your baby soon. :)
blah stopped again this is really doing my head in
Oh hun :( *hugs* I hope it happens for you soon, just so your mind can rest! xx
Hey J, don't want to be the one who is the downer in here, but I had that for 5-6 weeks before J came. What I can tell you is what my MW told me and that was that when it is the real thing you won't not know. You will know your baby is coming. Especially if you have been warming up for weeks. you know that that is what your BH feel like and so it will be something very different. My BH were painful or uncomfortable but when labour hit it was very different. Good luck babe and remeber you are only 40 weeks. Going to 42 weeks is NORMAL human gestation. That is why they say 38-42 weeks. So chill and rest and I hope you have a really lovely birth, when you baby decides that he/she wants to come:)
Love Bella
:P bella its ok ive accepted that the baby will decide when he/she is ready :) im just a tad fed up lol
 it's so tough when the latent stage of labour goes on for days and days. Not only is it exhausting but psychologically you get ready for baby only to be disappointed again and again. If you get what feel like contractions then my advice would be to rest. If they go away, they are not the real thing yet, and if they don't you will be glad of the rest so you have the energy to walk and keep active for the big finale. Best of luck, it won't be very long now.
