Lucy-ana or the Italian way, Lu-chi-ana?
I am liking this name, but I prefer Lucy-ana. However my DH is Italian and his family would pronounce it Lu-chi-ana.

I would say Lu-chi-ana, gorgeous name
I would actually have pronounced it "Lu-shi-ana".
I'm with Ahurani.Lu-chi-ana
Lu-chi-arna or Lu-shi-arna would be mine...
Its the name of Matt Damons wife, I just saw her name mentioned and thought it was a beautiful name. She is Italian, so I assume she pronounces it Lu-chi-ana. Which is lovely, and fitting for my DH and his side of the family. But I just dont know seeing as I am not Italian myself, but I definately have an Italian last name these days lol.
A gf of mine named their daughter Luciana, neither of them are Italian, she just loved the name :)
I would also pronoune Lu chi ana
Lucia is also nice.
I would pronounce it Lucy - Ana (Arna)
Babyluv thats how I want it pronounced.
Limeslice how does your friend pronounce it?
Also DH's late grandmother was Lucia (Lu-chia) so thats why I know his whole family would say Lu-Chi-Arna. I guess it doesnt matter a whole heap really.
Luchiana. She gets called Luchia though anyway lol
It's such a pretty name :D
I pronounce it "Lu-shi-arna" when I see it. Pretty name either way!
Oh gosh, so many different ways to say it lol! I guess it doesnt matter, our DD's name gets pronounced wrong quite often and it doesnt bother me one bit. She would probably get Luci 99% of the time anyway, as we have shortened our DD's too.
Another for Lu-chi-arna, but I have an Italian background.
yep another for Lu-chi-ana :D
btw love the name, just gorgeous :heartbeat:
I'd say Loo-see-ah-nah... But Loo-chi-ana is okay too :)
I'm Italian so it would be Lu-chi-ana for me, beautiful name.
Regards,
Dianne

i'd read it as the italian way...but having an italian husband does corrupt ones perspective lol.
I read it as Lucy-arna. But apparently I can't be trusted to pronounce names correctly!
I'd say loo-chee-AH-na
ETA: that's assuming it's Italian. If it was Spanish it maybe Lucy-ahna
It's all in the origin, Lucian I'd say Lucy-an or Lu-shun
It's so tricky though!
