So I have applied to do a Bachelor of Social Work with CSU. I am currently doing a Bachelor of Rural Welfare but childcare is a nightmare and the other one is via long distance. I am soooo impatient, I don't know how many times I have checked the application progress on line lol. Anyone else waiting to hear about uni for next year? I think I might actually go insane by the end of Jan waiting lol
I have applied to study nursing/midwifery double degree. I'm waiting on my stat test results atm, and then hoping for an early offer in November. I have no nails left, I'm a wreck waiting!
Hopefully we will both hear soon :D
I am waiting too and hoping for an early round offer. I can wait for that but if don't get one and have to wait for january I think it will drive me crazy.........
Me too - I'm hoping for an early offer for Masters of Teaching :-)

I got 97.8% on the quantitative (maths) part of the test and 87.8% on the verbal (english) part. That gives me an overall percentile score of 95.3%.
CONGRATS Traveller. That is a great result :) You should be very happy with yourself!!!!

Well done Traveller. I wish I got as good a score as you got!!!! Mine was pretty crap which is as I expected. Did ok on the quantitive but really average on the verbal so it dragged my score down :doh:
Sorry you didn't get the score you wanted. If it helps, I have just been googling and there are heaps of people who get places with a lower stat score because of a strong pi form and experience. There are also many with a high stat score who miss out on a place (presumably because of a poor pi form and no experience). Not long until early offers, so hopefully we will be out of our misery soon!

The waiting sucks so much! When are early offers out?
November 26th for Victoria, at 2pm. So only another 10 days of agony (hopefully)
2 days, 3 hours and 18 minutes until early round offers in Vic :)
Not that we are counting lol. I don't know when I will find out. I applied direct to a NSW uni. Fingers crossed it will be around the same time :)
Hmm I hope the VTAC site doesn't crash with people checking for early offers! I'm planning my day so I will be home at 2 so I can check straight away LOL

I hope I can sleep tonight - I struggled last night! I'm getting that nervous feeling in my stomach too and trying to play down my chances of getting in so I'm not too disappointed tomorrow if I don't have an offer.
What was everyone applying for again? I'm hoping to get into Master of Teaching - Primary through Deakin (off campus).
Well after getting myself all worked up that I would be finding out today I actually bothered to do a search of the early round course offers to see which ones actually make the early offers and my course isn't there :( So now I'm going to have to wait til January to find out! So wish I'd bothered to find this out sooner!!

Oh no Baby09, that's rubbish! At least you found out now though rather than after the offers come out and you are left wondering why you don't have one :hug: My course is on there so hopefully I will get one (nursing/midwifery at Deakin).
Only 5 hours and 41 minutes to go:o Am going to DS1's school church service this morning, should be good for a couple of hours distraction.
I also will not find out today. I called the uni and they said it will be at least another couple of weeks. It's driving me crazy not knowing when to find out. So I will continue the wait with you Baby09 :). Good luck Traveller I will be thinking of you:dance:

Traveller - there is a link on the vtac homepage with all the courses which have early round offers, not sure if I can link here but it is on the top of the page. I think nursing/midwifery is on the list....
yes my course is on the list, but I figure that they still might not be ready in time to release offers and I am afraid to call and ask incase that is true of Deakin.

I think I'll phone Deakin on Monday and find out if I am definitely out of the running for midwifery, or if there is some way I can strengthen my application before January. I would phone now but they are shut. Pesky part time helpline:protest:
