not real sure but we did have a close friend pass 1 1/2yrs ago and his last name was wilson but im just not sure :wall: it is so hard to pick a name
Can say i'm a fan - but you both have to be happy. Hope you find something you like. x
I like it. You could shorten it to Will if you're not keen?
i think its a nice name... :)
It's a beautiful name, I really love it.
if your partner is set on using it, could you have it as a middle name instead?
I like it. It was on my list until DH crossed it off!
I like Will, but wilson is not for me
I kind of like it too,,,all the better for having a special meaning
I immediately thought of the movie cast away with the ball named wilson...sorry. i love will could you maybe shorten it or use as middle name?
I don't mind it either actually. :) He's in trouble if his friends watch Cast Away, for about the 2 weeks it will take them to think 'this isn't funny anymore' and stop screaming 'Wilsoooooon'. Will for short, I think it's alright! Reminds me a bit of the neighbour in Home Improvement - he was pretty cool really.
ETA: But really, think of all the movies that will exist by the time his friends are old enough to be quoting movies...chances are our kids will never know about the movie Cast Away.
i love william but have a nephew william and i do love will he was telling everyone we were calling him eric but i fully rejected that one but i think wilson could grow on me i liked cameron until my mil wouldnt stop refering to bub as cameron and put me off
I'm a fan :)
It would have to go well with your last name tho.
I looked after a Wilson he was very cute ;)

I think it's a great name. I don't even mind the movie reference, there are lots worse things to have as a nickname than Willllllsoooooooooooooooooooooon
I'd even name my son that if we had one.
Best of luck with your decision.
xoxo

It makes me think of Home Improvement too but only cause I'm old LOL
I quite like it and Will is a gorgeous name, all the Wills that I know are lovely.
I don't mind Wilson, it's quite cute but also a name he could grow into too.
I really like it and Will is a great classic nickname. :)
I like it too but as Jak said would have to go with surname.
I've never seen the movie, so I wouldn't have even thought! I forgot all about home improvements neighbour... I just thought of House's bestfriend - (James) Wilson.
I like the name!
I like it too. It was on my list but DH didn't like due to the cast away reference. I don't think that really matters though. I also had Cameron on my list but DH vetoed that one too :(
I like it or William, and Will for a nickname.
I really like it .. but was wondering if it could get mixed up as a surname (?)
our last name is Carmody so it sorta goes but i really like Jack
I like Cameron too :) no guessing why!
I'm not too keen on Wilson, sorry!!
But I've always loved Jack & Jake. Hubby didn't so we went with the good 'ol Scottish name :)
we have Hannah Lochlan and Charli i just feel wilson doesnt go with the flo cameron does but i feel vain cause of the 2 C's thats why i havnt picked it :)
I like it :D
I also think it's lovely when you have such special meaning behind it too.
Yeah, I know what you mean about the flo......DF's surname is Anderson so I thought Cameron wouldn't go with the surname, don't particularly like the 'son' in both the name and surname. I'm also a bit funny with names and surnames starting with the same letter.....geez it's hard isn't it?
it is very hard i have not had such a hard time with naming any of my babies but this lil man i just cant decide it is one of the many things driving me nuts
I bet he ends up with the coolest name!! Wilson is now growing on me
My first thought is the neighbour of Home Improvement but I do like Wil....
:D Maybe a middle name?
Wilson is a great name with your surname.
Our DD is jemima and everyone says 'jemima puddleduck' or 'jemima from play school' etc then they get over it and realise jemima is jemima her own name for an individual girl.
My brothers are Russell and Andrew both can be surnames and their surname Duncan can be a first.....
