World of eos has a few tutorials. I haven't had time to watch any yet but there are quite a few topics there ranging from beginner to advanced.

I was going to do an online correspondence photography course early last year. But we had to wait. I will get you some links and pm them to you asap.

Mollie I've just signed up through the photography institute.
Course over 24 weeks to a year...
Just under 1000 :) full diploma recognized and certified everywhere in the world!

Melzi19, I've been receiving their emails for a while now and have considered doing a course. Do you start immediately?
You just sign up when you like! It's brilliant it's so in depth! :) and I'm only on the first module!
Sign up for it you will love it. I signed up last night and they give you access to your first module and assignment and then your second module :) amazing!
The course is run at a self pacing rate so you study when you want to... (over a year!)

About 1000 dollars. Depends how you pay it off. I'm paying it weekly at 46 a week! :)
I'm finding it great I'm up to module 4 already and I started it 19th march!! :) have gotten pretty high marks too!

I love it too loulabelle. Its really in depth, a lot of info thick and fast. I paid £450 using an Easter special! If you register your interest they emAil specials from time to time.

Wow! What a coincidence. I just emailed Photography Institute yesterday for further information on their online courses. I thought I would check BB before checking my emails to see if they had replied. Thanks for the info posted on here girls, it seems like it is going to be a really great course :)
I so desperately want to do this course, but I've got a lot going on at the moment so I think could commit to it. I'm going to keep reading and leave it on the backburner for a more appropriate time though. Can I just ask how much of your time it's taking up roughly though?

Swoop- if I spent half of the time that I do on BB, I'd probably be done ;) lol
You've got 6 months to a year. You can get extensions. I know of a few people who have been studying for 2 years!!!

It takes as much time as you want to put into it... There is no pressure.
Everyone studies differently so i print out my modules as I can't concentrate reading from the screen all the time. Plus with kids, going on the comp all the time isn't an option for me. When I get alone time, on the weekend, I usually pick up my books!
I'm loving it and I'm not as far into it as lnd!

I'm back on the case with this again now... Just trying to work out if now is the best time to sign up. We've just headed back to the uk to be with my mum while she has cancer treatment and all being well with her and DD's ongoing health issues we're hoping to travel for 12-18 months. In some ways it seems like the ideal time, in others, not so. I should have time to study and interesting subject matters but on the other hand I'll need to get a better computer to travel with (we'd initially just planned to go with a netbook and an iPad) and I'm worried about having a guaranteed Internet connection all the time.
How is everyone getting on? Do you still feel as keen now you're a bit further in. How many hours a week are you spending on it and how far in are you? I've been trying to find out how long (in hours) they estimate it to take, but can't find it anywhere.
Swoop, I have my mum around and I still find it difficult to read, and process all the info in one go. I have to do it in the evening once the kids are in bed when everything is dead silent! That is just how I study I guess. The first few modules blow your mind full of the information, but it all starts to click over time.
I just got 10/10 for module 4.... Which I am so excited about, and I have got progressively better over time. Taking photos is just another aspect on top of the theory. While in the uk you could get some gorgeous shots, but in module 3 you need a clear sunny day, and for me here in jersey, it was hard to get one of those days.
I also like to print out the modules to read them (and highlight along the way) as reading off a screen does my head in!
If I was you, I'd wait..... Spend the time capturing some memorable shots now, then study it all later.

Thanks so much for your honest answer Yules, I really appreciate it. As keen as I am and desperate to start now, I don't know that I have the time.
If you really want to do it.... It's worth the wait. You already have an 'eye' for photography, play around, link yourself up with some photography blogs and pages on fb and you'll be studying without even realizing it. :)
