The Al Natural and Early Arrival of Jayden Trevor xx
Well after a trouble free and non eventful pregnancy it all went off with a bang lol well not literally.
I woke at 2.30am on Friday 25th (My oldest Aunty 51st bday) thinking I had wet the bed. I quickly got up and waddled to the bathroom where my water started to run down the floor drain at a rapid pace. There was no bloody show, there was no plug. DH sniffed the bed to make sure I hadnt wet myself and with the all clear I jumped in the shower and cleaned up. I didnt think much of it and got back into bed and thats where the cramping started. I lasted an hour and got up again to call the hospital to which they told me to come on in as I was only 36w 5d by my scans.
We got to the hospital at 4.30 where I was taken into a room and put on monitors. This unfortunatly is how my labour also ended much to my sadness. The registrar came to check how far along i was at around 7.30. I was 2cm already. The contractions were gettting more and more painful and no matter how I positioned myself I could not get comfy. I think it was about 9.30 by the time I went into the delivery suite. There again I wasnt allowed off the bed. Stuck on another monitor and left. All I wanted to do was get in the shower but NO cause their wireless monitor wasnt working I didnt get what I wanted. The feotal monitor kept slipping so that put the one on baby's head to get a better reading. I think they did another internal and I was 7cm. This is were things get fuzzy.
10.30 and I was ready to push. The midwife kept telling me not to push cause I wasnt ready. LADY I WAS READY. :wall:My room with 4 people in it soon had around 10. I pushed for around half hour to 45min when the snooty mw went on her break and a lovely indian lady called Gigi came in. She was awesome. Along with the gorgeous Sara they were both soooo supportive and helpful. After an hour of pushing they told me they were giving me an epi to which I said I dont think so. They made me try the gas of which I had 6 sucks and couldnt breath at all. No thanks.
11.30 came and the OB said they were going to use suction. That I was ok with. They gave me 3 trys with it. After 2 she was telling someone to call theatre. HELL NO. :wall:With all my might and what strength I had left which by then was nothing and gave one last push. They gave me a little snip and out came his head. phewwww no theatre for me. 1 last push and my little man was here.
He was in fetal distress for 2 min but all good. I am so in love with both my boys.
TO THE WONDERFUL, FABULOUS, GORGOUS SARA...... THANK YOU. Without u I dont think I could have done it. Even after working all night u were still there for us!!!! xxxx
My DH was awesome. Even when I was saying I wanted to go home he was there suppoting me. Love u babe xx
