Girl Names - cant decide!!

So we've narrowed it down to 2 names for a girl ...

Ariana & Zaphira

Dammit! :lol: I really love Zaphira, but its taken DF a few weeks to even warm to the name :) I think its unique without being weird bogan made up type of unique LOL

I voted for Zaphira, it is similar to Saphira which is a pretty name, in my opinion.
Is Ariana pronounced Are-ee-ar-na or is the first syllable pronounced to rhyme with Harry, as in Arry? Sorry, hope that makes sense.

I voted Ariana too. Didn't even have to think about it. Then I saw Sapphira and I like that much better (than Zaphira), doesn't sound or look as harsh.

Of course im gonna for Ariana as my DD's middle name is Ariane ;)

I went to school with an Ariane and she is lovely. Have you picked out a middle name for either??

I know 2 little girls called Ariana and they both get called Ari. Very gorgeous name.
I loved the name Aurora for a girl but DH didn't like it. I totally Love Ariana though. Makes me want a girl NOW lol.

No middle name for Zaphira yet but like Ariana Elizabeth (after my grandma) love Ari as a nickname :-)

I really like both. I agree with others that Saphira looks more soft and feminine. Spoken I think Zaphira sounds great, although written I keep seeing the word 'Zap". Sorry - JMO! Another reason why I'd go for Saphira.
I have a 3 syllable limit with names - so Ariana would have to become Ariane or Arielle to compete with Zaphira/Saphira for me.
