Duck Name

Okay, we've just added two new ducks to the family. We've called the all white one Jemima Puddle Duck, but I'm lost on what to call the other. Ideas?

Dunno why though?! Just seems to go with Jemima. :)

My dear nan, now in Heaven, had two ducks - one was Sir Lancelot, the other was Sir Archibald (they were bought off a bloke named Lance Archie).
For some reason the ducks' names give me a smile ...

A friend had a duck called that. Other friends' ducks have been Bobby and Gordon. I've always like the name Gordon for a duck.

Awesome suggestions thus far - keep them coming! I should say they are both girls. Drakes can... misdirect their love, so I'll get one when the kids are a little older, so will put the boy names aside for then.

I was just going to post the same - I'm with Marydean :)

Digby and Matilda were our duck's names!
And my sister had a drake called Fergus.

When we were young, our ducks were called Dirt and Squirt! For obvious pooing reasons!
Not helpful I know, but thought I would share... And it gave me a nice smiley memory thinking about it :) thank you

one a different note,are you living in canberra (i saw on your fb) we are moving down there in a few months and id love to get a few chooks and/or ducks, have to find a home with a biggish back yard i guess

Beckoes - According to law here, you only need 0.3 metres square per chicken (0.5 for ducks), and there are no rules about how far away they have to be from the fence or backdoor, so with a tractor or if you let them out occasionally you don't need that much space.

Thanks to a comment by Beck saying no2. duck looked like she was wearing a hat, in combination with Junglemum's suggestion of needing a "Miss" we have our name.

Say hello to Jemima Puddle Duck and Miss Kippah (a Kippah being a Jewish Skull-cap). Thank you for all your suggestions. :D I also really like Fergus for when we get a Drake. ;)
