Just googled it and it is going to be a huge homemaker centre with Harvey Norman & Ikea as the main draw cards. Due to open late 2011

and there is talk that the next ikea to be build will be where the pipe works is in campbellfield!!!

i know - it's so exciting! wish it could have opened in time for DS' birthday next week :lol: will have to make do with it being (hopefully) open for xmas!

It's so exciting! I drive past every Friday for work and check out the progress!! :) it's gigantic!! Will be a fabulous homemaker centre!! There will also be Clive peters and domaine. I can update you all each week if you like?? haha xox
my BIL is on the site doing all of the electrical stuff and apparently its just under a kilometer long and half a km wide! HUGE compared to the richmond one he rekons!

I miss the nunawading ikea, the Richmond one is too far away. Glad we are getting one closer.
Can I hate you all? Doubt we will ever get an Ikea down this way, even if they were interested our council will interfere so much they would change their minds.

I am hanging too-- although I will prob avoid it for at least a few months adn still go to Rich. It will be far to crazy for me.. like when you go on a public holiday (BLUGHHH) and every time we go go to Ikea it almost ends in divorce LOL
all of the traders at pipeworks have been told their leases wont be renewed and from what ive been told they are letting them all run the term of their lease.
BIL's company is in the running to get the contract to do the electricals so ill keep my snifters out for info...
god it will be nice going 10 mins up the ring road instead of half hour to richmond!:dance:
