BFP, but still unsure....

Hi all

I have been ttc for 2 years now. Tried clomid for 6 months, this is my second natural cycle since finishing clomid.

I finished what i thought was AF about a week ago. Then yesterday I started spotting pinkish and noticed my boobs were starting to get tender again. it felt like I was getting AF back again. So i decided to test and got a :bfp: on three tests (2 internet cheapies and 1 FR) So I went to the docs and got another positive, but I thought I had a period last week????
DH and I have not BD since 1st of June, so that would make me 4 weeks pregnant. But now I'm wondering if I may have had an early miscarriage. My bleeding was very light, but it usually is.

Any ideas? I have to wait for BT results tomorrow and I don't know weather to be excited or not! :dunno:

Some women have bleeds. It just happens and not always for a reason. I have everything crossed for you that you get a good result tomorrow.

I've heard of some women who still bleed a bit every month at the time their period would be due....

Ha ha, Hi Yas. I left the clomid forum when I stopped taking it, I still pop in every now and then. I will keep updates! Don't want to get excited yet though....

i had bleeding and was pregnant, withg DS 3 i was 9 weeks before i found out as i thought it was just a light period. good luck to you. fingers crossed

I had what I thought was a light period too with DD2!

One midwife described it to me as sometimes the baby is like a balloon inside a bottle and it sticks to one side of the uterus and the other part of the lining is release. Goodluck!

I posted! But my internet isn't very good tonight. She has booked me in for a scan tomorrow and more BT. So i still don't know! The BT confirmed a pregnancy, but still unsure if my bleeding was an early m/c. She seems to think that it wasn't though :)
So 2pm tomorrow. And If we can't find a heartbeat, but my BT suggests I am still PG, then another scan in a couple of weeks. The suspense is killing me!

Tash thats awesome news hun :D FWIW, when i had a chem pg the doctor could tell from my hcg levels that it wasn't a viable pg for how far i was ( i think the hcg level at nearly 5 weeks was 21 :( ) I will be stalking, and try not to stress if you don't see a HB- your very early xxxxxx

Thankyou ladies for your support. Just had an internal ultrasound, they couldn't see anything. And I doubt it's too early because we last BD 4 weeks ago (june 1st) so that would make me almost 6 weeks pregnant.
I also had another BT and having one more on Monday to see if my levels are going up or down. So it sucks, but I'm pretty sure it was an early m/c. My friend had the same thing happen to her. She had what she thought was AF, then 2 weeks later the heavier bleeding started. So I guess i just wait for the heavier bleeding to start? So confused

Tasha hang in there sweetheart. It *could* be too early... You might have had a late implanter.

Tasha- :( I hope it wasn't an early mc. Do you know exactly when you O'd and what the hcg levels were? With my chem pg i just bleed when/just after my period was due. I had bleeding for 10 days and that was it. Huge :hug: and i hope you have a sticky bub hiding in there xxxxxxxxxx

Actually, One question: When will i bleed? Yes i did have a period 2 weeks ago, but very light and only red for 3 days. I could have wore the same pad all day. Will i bleed heavy?

:( I hope you don't bleed at all babe. It depends, if it's a non-viable pg you should start bleeding pretty soon.....it depends whats retained in there. If there is a failed pg in there you probably will pass some clots...... sorry i can't help more xxxxxxxxx

That's ok Yas, I am feeling positive. I just want to hurry up and bleed so we can start over :) I was upset yesterday, but today i feel better. Maybe I will post in the m/c threads for more info. Thank you again xox

I had a similar thing happen to me when we were trying for DD2. I fell pregnant the first month with DD1 but DD2 was a different story. We tried for 22 months which were all unsuccessful....including the months I had tried clomid. I then had a chemical pregnancy which meant I got a positive test but then started bleeding a day after AF was due. I was a little bit bummed but like you I was just so excited that after 22 months of trying my body had actually gotten pregnant, even if it didn't stick. I tried to remain very positive and the month straight after the chemical pregnancy I fell pregnant. Keep your chin up if things don't happen to work out this month, you never know, next month might be your lucky month like it was for me. Good luck!!

Leigh26, was your bleed just like a regular AF? Mine was the same as my regular AF, light but that's just me. Same thing happen to my friend, and they got pregnant the month after it happened. So if that bleed was the chemical pregnancy, I won't bleed again till my next AF is due? And did you wait until you had a period and then you got pregnant after? Sorry for all the questions!

I fell pregnant approx 2 wks later when I o'd so basically the miscarriage/light period I had was the last bleeding I had until I gave birth. I'm not sure if you have tried it but someone told me to take macca power tablets (apparently it helps women to fall pregnant or something), anyway I took it & that was the month I fell pregnant so maybe give that a try. You can get it from any health food store. It comes in powder or tablets, I took the tablets. After nearly years of trying I was willing to give anything a go, I reckon that's what worked for me.

So I should attack DH now??? ;) I was due to be ovulating this weekend. But i don't have any ovulation signs and doesn't your HCG level have to be 0 before you can fall PG again? If I had a positive test on Wednesday, wouldn't i still have HCG in my body? So confusing...

So sorry you're not sure whats going on right now. It must be very confusing.

6 months after I had my DD2 I had a BFP on Friday and then it disappeared 2 days later on my HPT. Then on Monday I had a massive bleed. Lots of clotting and very heavy (which is not normal for me at all). So I assumed I had had m/c.

Two weeks later to my surprise I still felt pg and was getting positives on my HPT's, I went to the OB and my levels were bouncing around for about 2 weeks before I finally had a "period" and was able to start again. They think it was either a stray piece of placenta or an probably ectopic (levles go up, down, up).

I don't think DTD will hurt if you're not bleeding but I needed to wait for my hcg levels to get back down to 0 before my body sorted itself out again. Sorry for the long response, not sure if that helps? Was it Monday you find out if you're levels are doing?
