Wierd Dreams?
How many of you have had Wierd dreams during pregnancy?
I dreamt last night that SIL convinced hubby to divorce me? It seemed so real and I woke up in tears. :(
The night before I dreamt that my friends just up and left me in a dark room?
Does anyone know how to stop them at all? They are seeming so real and its scaring me.

I had very vivid dreams during prenancy, but not like you're talking about :(
A big hug  and a friendly :bump: in case anyone else has any ideas...
I hope they stop, hun.
-
I had crazy weird dreams during pregnancy, no idea what they meant. They stopped later in pregnancy. No idea how to stop them but hope they stop for you!
-
i have had crazy dreams with all my pregnancies :( they are all so much more "real" when you're pregnant. Had one that i died and no one came to my funeral. That DP left me for my bestfriend from high school. My dad disowned me. So so so many! If you find out how to stop them or get them to become less frequent please let me know! They SUCK!
-
yep since ive been pregnant ive had really messed up dreams!
-
Oh some of them can be horrible cant they?
Try not to let yourself get too exhausted and overtired.. I always seemed to have more when I was.
-
Oh those ones sound horrible! Big  honey...
I second the idea of trying not to get too overtired as they do seem to be worse then, but FWIW last night I dreamt that I was a hooker and DH was my pimp...
-
I'm another that gets some awful dreams. It's one of my cues before I even get a BFP. I limit what awful things I'm exposed to...though sometimes it's hard to avoid. I pick which news I read, and don't watch it on TV, no current affairs etc.

I have really XXX rated dreams when I am pregnant, mostly about guys I have dated when I was younger. One recently was about a guy who lived up the road from my parents place who I was NEVER involved with and in my dream I kept brushing off his advances then somehow ended up with 2 hickies and thought "what the hell am I going to say to DH" I have never been soooo relieved to wake up
-
Yep! Horrible horrible dreams here too.
One of them was that DH had just up and left me with DS and a newborn and was so distant.
Just last night I had a dream that DH had accidently killed someone out of self defense. He knew he was going to jail and he didn't want me to be a part of it all so he left me. And I found out through him changing his relationship status via FB! But I kept catching him trying to commit suicide, and after the 3rd attempt I chucked the ***ts and said 'Fine! I know you don't want me to be a part of your life, but at least think of your children you [insert obsenities here]' and from then I stopped talking to him. I woke up before I knew what happened but geez it was scary!
I've wanted to stop them myself but didn't think that there was really a way to stop them. Big hugs for you hun

This pregnancy I have been having the most horrible nightmares and dreams
Alot of them revolve around miscarriage or bubs not surviving but with whats happened to my SIL this year my counselor says its normal for me to feel bad and have horrible dreams.
-
I have to admit...early on I was having some sexy dreams....Lol, like hello Brad Pitt:) But at this stage for atleast the past week or so some really frightening dreams, the ones where you make up and your heart is pounding so I think I would prefer the sexy ones!!
-
I have weird dreams before I got pregnant, and they are still weird... so I don't see much of a difference there... although I did have a nice one the other day it had dolphins in it (never dreamt about dolphins before)
-
Nae Nae. I"m like you, I have very weird and vivid dreams and quite often they contain my first boyfriend (who I was with for 6 years) of course I have never told DH this. It freaks me out ao bit though.
So far this pregnancy it hasn't happened but I have still been having very weird and vivid dreams, can't recall any of them off the top of my had at the moment.
-
i had a dream last night , i was an angel and could fly, and me n the other angels were fighting demons
-
Last night I apparently was a dance teacher again  I have not taught since 2005 .......... it was weird waking up and going HUH I am pregnant
-
Yup I'm dreaming a million miles a minute.
The worst was dreaming about being next to a swimming pool, talking to this lady. She threw her baby in the pool. It sank to the bottom, and I was telling her to pick it up, but she said the baby "does this all the time"
Then after a few minutes she realised the baby was dead, and was hysterical. Awful.
Less serious, last night I dreamt I was on a paddlesteamer going through Iraq on holidays,
I think Im having 5 intense dreams a night!
-
Iraq has paddlesteamers now?
I dreamt the other night DH and I had decided to go for a drive to my mum's place which is about a 2.5hr drive into the country, and I went into labour in the car on the way home....DH had to deliver bub on his own by the side of the road
-
And the dreaming stopped for a while. And now its started again. I dreamt last night that DH cheated on me and I found out. Worst feeling ever. I'm awake and now crying yet again. Over this dreaming thing. :( more like nightmare :(

I always had dreams of DH cheated on me (have only had one so far with this pregnancy) sometimes he would be cheating on me and I was there in my dreams of course, like you I would wake up an absoloute mess they felt so real. I wondered if its cos I don't feel as attractive with my big belly, heartburn and all the other joys that come with pregnancy.
Maybe my DH just needs to be more romantic so I just stop having these dreams. Mind you the other dreams I have are of me with my ex boyfriend (I don't tell him about those ones)
-
Grrrr keep having the same dream. It's so annoying does it mean I don't trust DH or something?
I dreamt that he cheated on me with a girl over in Sydney (why Sydney I don't know I don't know anyone there although he was on a dating site just before we met but canceled his membership completely when we got together). I've had the same dream for the past two nights.
I've dreamt that he's lied and betrayed me and I've moved out and tried to get through the remainder of my pregnancy by myself and living at my mums with all the baby gear I've brought.
It all seemed so real. It sucks. I hate dreams like this. Now I'm wide awake. And thinking ..don't be stupid Lys... It's only a dream...
:( I need something and fast to stop this from happening. Do dreamcatchers work? I'm desperate.

Another dream and I actually woke up screaming last night. I'm really concerned this one felt so real.. might have to look into talking to him about it actually.
I dreamt that he was basically ignoring me and the baby. He was going out with mates all the time, refusing to spend time with me (which has been a problem in the past seeing as he's only home basically a week of every month)
Sex was also brought up in the dream, but I made it out to be that he didn't want to touch me... (not like irl ...that I was the one who didn't want it because I'm scared of bleeds afterwards and don't feel the most attractive right now...)
No idea what to do. I actually woke myself up by yelling to DH in my sleep.... Maybe I should talk to DH. Maybe im already insane and nothing can help this... Lol

What r dreams lol. DS is sick atm so I am not getting much sleep and when I do its usually about sick babies
I hate the cheating or horrible feeling dreams toward DH/DP's when I have those I tend to wake up and give DH a horrible look or elbow him then roll over and keep my back to him and the poor guy doesn't know what he's done wrong.
-
talk to him, hun.
he's your man, he's your bumps dad, he will want to help and comfort and protect.
mega hugs.
you're not crazy - dreams can be incredibly vivid and upsetting while preggers.
xx
-
What the lovely wise Peanutter said - talk to him, let him know how you're feeling about these dreams and give him the chance to reassure you. Maybe explain to him that pregnancy dreams are very vivid and you're struggling to keep reminding yourself that it's just a dream so he can help remind you as well.
-
I've spoken to him. He works away at the moment so hes not always beside me...
But he's assured me everythings normal and he still loves me even though he realises I'm scared about dtd.
He said he'd keep reassuring me they are only dreams and that they aren't real. Never in his life would he ignore his child I know that.
It just all seemed so real. He just keeps reminding me that this pregnancy is messing with my hormones and causing vivid dreams. But nothing I do will make them go away, and as long as I tell him about them he will reassure me all I need :)
Feeling a bit better now xx

LD me too! I have one intense nightmare every second week or so that I wake up crying or shouting aloud from. They are normally about my family- sister, parents, extended family or my husband. I have to protect them from something or I lose them/get lost/they are separated from me, or I have huge fights with them. I never usually dream like this - only since I've been preg.
-
all the time!!
however i do have wierd dreams even when i am not pg and seem to remember them
-
I'm so glad you've had that chat, and he understands that you may continue to need that reassurance if you keep having those dreams ...
 that now it's out in the open, the dreams will have no more space in your head for fearmongering, and they'll rack off ...

I know this thread is older now but I had to comment here. I have had such a wide range of strange dreams since I've been pregnant and I never have dreams. They have ranged from sex dreams, to scary horror dreams and then the other week I dreamt my deceased father was with me helping me dress our baby.
These pregnancy hormones are crazy!
