We had Addison for a girl for both pregnancies.

However, my gf and her DH had a little girl 2 weeks before us and used Addison, so a quick change of name was needed!

I know it's originally a boys name though :lol:

Yeah definitely unisex in my opinion! My sister called her daughter Emerson so same kinda thing there with son on the end.

I always think of names ending in "son", as girls' names, eg. Addison, Madison, Emerson.

btw i like the connection with dh and the name, my ds1 is Nixon, i am Nicole Nixon = Nic's son:D and both have the same name meaning

it's OK....but........did you know there is a disease called Addison's Disease, I wont go into detail, just google it :-) My great grandmother died of it. Just thought I would point it out. Lots of people seem to like it though

I like it a lot! You don't hear it very often, but it's not uncommon in the 'made up name' kind of way. It sounds very classic and I like the whole 'Adams son' aspect :)
