It's now been a year since our first precious BF... after the first hellish days, we've had a remarkably smooth journey :)
We haven't managed to get rid of the nipple shields, but she feeds just fine with them.... and now she's a beautiful porky little cuddlepie clocking in at just over 10kg :lol:.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY little (big 10kg) one!!!! and Happy BF'ing birthday to you Belfie :loveshower: I too have been thinking tonight as I put ds to sleep that in the morning he will be ONE and after our hellish start of intense pain and sweats with each feed we have had an amazing bonding experience with no dramas. Our little one is only 9.2kg's though, he's got a bit of catching up to do by the sounds of it! hehehe ;)

Congratulations!!! Well done! I fed DS with nipple shields too - until he weaned at 22 months when I was pregnant with DD, just goes to show it can be done in the long term with nipple shields! :)
