I think I am going to watch out of interest and see how it goes. A friend of mine knows someone who tried out for the show but missed out and she swears about how good she is, so hopefully we will be seeing some great abilities on the show... It will be interesting to see how they test them though.
As in tv series? what channel?
I watched one a while ago it was interesting, they hid things, did readings etc.

I remember watching it last time, and I didnt mind it, but I think it got bad ratings and they put it in a really bad timeslot?

One of my friends is in it this year, had a friend in it last year and the most amazing woman I just spent a week in Bali with is on the panel of judges this year :) So of course I will be watching it.

They've come into my life (or re-come into my life in the case of Stacey) when it is time. I got the biggest buzz while away when Stacey was calling me her sister-witch, which humbled me.:

Well I'm going to follow the series, don't know why but i feel really drawn to follow it this time, even though I haven't seen much "psychic tv". I thought tonight's show was very interesting but I was a bit let down by the readings they did at the end. Don't know how the readees were selected and what impact that had. When you're doing readings at a festival or whatever, you tend to find that people are drawn to different readers and part of the success of the reading depends on a likeness of energies between reader and readee, if that makes sense. Also, I would find it very daunting to do a reading that revealed some deeply personal information in front of a group of strangers like the audience. You would need to make sure you had the full permission of the readee to tell what you saw.
That's really interesting because I preferred that part of the show. It felt more genuine & a bit less game-show like, ITMS?:

Wasn't too fussed on the readings at the end either, some of the things were good, others I thought they were fishing.
With the competition part, it was interesting how some of them started to doubt themselves just when they were near the goal. It is a lot like life :)
Can't wait to see next week's competition and who gets sent home.
first thing that springs to my mind... why would any angles, spirits etc bother to enter into a pointless activity as finding a helicopter in the first place? wouldnt that be something that is irrelevant to them? why waste their energy on it??
secondly, i thought the readings were not very good either, a lot of innacuracies and it did look a little like some of them were fishing for info. what was with the lady who asked the person she was reading if she had any questions or anything that she wanted to know about and then the lady went on to describe in detail all the bits and pieces of info about her life and situation. i thought that was a bit off.
btw, i am a believer but some of that last night looked a little funny. probably due to editing etc.
Because the guides don't have a human grasp on what is irrelevant or not, their concept of everything is different to ours, all they knew was their vessel was asking for help.:

Just with tonights episode, with so many of them coming up with a similar location and how with the murder. Does it make you think, that maybe a 2nd murder happened in that room that the police don't know about? Or maybe an earlier attack? Just seems too much of a coincidence to me that they could be wrong in the same way :dunno:
Astrid I was thinking the same thing!! So many of them repeated the same thing, and about the knife also. Makes you question if there is more than the police know!

So does everyone think Greg was a worthy winner? - I thought he was pretty good. I checked out his website, and wow, $275.00 for a 1 hour reading with him :o - i wonder if that was his price before or after winning? :lol:
He was pretty consistent right throughout all the challenges, and he also seemed sincere. His description of the readings he does on his website sounds very much like the approach I take (ie all about personal development rather than parlour tricks) so that augers well too.
I found the whole show very interesting - but was often frustrated by the artificial challenges set up - like asking someone to find a "diamond thief" when the thief wasn't a thief and the diamonds weren't real (?!)
I would love to participate in something like this but apparently they source their psychics from a pay-for-subscription directory, and not from a public selection process. I also thought that the public vote right at the end was weird...wasn't expecting that.
