 Hang in there hun, I went to 42 weeks and it is a long and exciting wait to meet your new little one!
Know the feeling hun - Penguin was evicted at 41+2
Keep your chin up, they can't stay in there forever and you'll be cuddling your little one very soon
If it makes it easier your not alone.. I'm currently 40+5 weeks. :(
Sending you relaxing cervix vibes, hope your baby gets a wriggle on soon. YOu are in our thoughts
xoxoo
41 today, celebrate it like a birthday and perhaps it will be! Thanks guys - hope you meet your little one soon too S&O!
I will be asking for a S&S today, let's see if this baby can read that sort of eviction notice!
Goodluck hope it gets your little one moving;) I will be stalking
Plan some exciting things to do for the next week. Head to the movies, have a coffee with a mate, fav restaurant for dinner... if bub is here, you won't mind missing out. if bub is still comfy then you have cool things to amuse you and to look forward to.
Hotl what a gorgeous idea (note to self for if I go over the 40 week mark).
Come on out little one!!!!
I went to 41 with DS, it sucks, I know!
Hurry up, baby!!
Hope your little one turns up soon, WM.
went 15 days over now my little one is here and is a week old tomorrow, it WILL happen!
No S&S, apparently unless you do them weekly, there's no correlation with causation of labour. Interesting! Anyway, nothing exciting, just still waiting :) I'll be having some bi-weekly monitoring just to check fluid levels and placenta function, but that's nothing exciting, going tomorrow so Mum can be here with DS. Unless completely weird things happen, I will not be having a c/s before next Tuesday (42+1). But I'll be waiting as long as possible.
HotI - great ideas :) I may plan a trip to the movies soon, even if I fall asleep during it! Hopefully someone can look after DS so DH and I can spend a little bit of time just the two of us. Actually, while Mum's here tomorrow, I might go have a pedicure tomorrow. Mmm self pampering.
Self pampering is good - I booked a massage and chiro treatment as well as went out for dinner with DH just before Penguin was induced :)
A long walk done the job for myself and a friend of mine :)
Good luck!!
Oh love, you're being so much more patient than me! My hat goes off to you :)
dont let them force you, i had a failed induction at 10 days over and went home for another 3 days and didn't let them break my waters til then and still had to be induced with syntocin as labour wouldn't start. I still got my VBAC though so don't think it won't happen, just stand your ground :)
I wont be having an induction, I had an horrific time of it with DS, and I'm happy that the increased risk of scar rupture is enough to cancel it out (that's my decision though). My Ob hasn't set a date for c/s, and is happy to monitor - the one most worried about going way over is my DH (partly cos he's completely and utterly sick of work I think!). I have monitoring today and probably Friday before seeing the Ob next Monday (42 weeks), guess we'll talk dates then! But I wont be needing that appointment, because I'll have my baby way before then :)
I'm getting out for walks every day, but I think I might do it in the evening tonight - that's when I have the most BH and when I feel like it's going to turn into something! I did have a contraction that woke me up in the middle of last night, but nothing eventuated :(
helle - I'm just super competitive and want to be last in our BB group to have the baby! lol. Um, hell no, would have been happy to be smack in the middle :)
I would laugh if I went into the monitoring today for them to strap me to the CTG and say "you're having contractions, I think it's early labour". Because I just don't know what it feels like!
Sounds like you are in a great place with a great ob! I just kept telling myself that I wanted my baby to choose his birthday and that I wouldn't be pregnant forever, even though it felt like it! I was going to a yoga class and had acupuncture a few times a week in the last 2 weeks and I would get contractions after each of those, might be worth a try? Massage was great too - just for some well earned relaxation! Hang in there! xoxo
Stalky stalky
Had a pedicure/manicure this morning (got clear on the hands in case I need a sats probe on them soon, lol), then went off for monitoring. Baby is doing just fine, heaps of fluid (top end of normal), great functioning placenta, lots of movement, great heartbeat. They only had the CTG on for 20 minutes, and I had 4 good contractions during that time (obviously BH). Had lots today, keep your fingers crossed. I shall do the same, and keep my legs uncrossed! Like the lady I am at the moment...
Grandma took DS to the pool this morning so he had a lovely day without any pressure on Mummy. Mum's gone home now though, so until labour starts I'll be missing her!
Well now, I hope this turns into something... :) Fingers crossed I have to call my Mum back tonight at some stage - I'm sure she'll love a 3.5 hour drive in the middle of the night!
Yay! Sending you labor vibes! :)
Ooooh, c'mon baby...your mummy has lots of cuddles waiting for you!
Oooh!! Cmooon baby!!
Oooooh! When you have the urge to put a chair in the shower., turn on the radio and sit and cry through contractions, you can be sure it's early labour :)
So I hope you're in the shower right now, with that chair, getting ready to meet that baby!!!
I got to 41+4 before DS was evicted. Sending you more labour vibes :)

Goodluck hope this is it!!!!!
Oooh, sorry, I hope some of you saw the news elsewhere! Baby arrived on 30.11.2011 at 7:10pm. It definitely turned into something - and in a hurry, I was in hospital by 2:30am! There's a BA with my name on it somewhere, and I'll be writing a birth story when I have a little energy, I've been home 3 hours!
Congrats honey!!!
Congrats. I too ended up having my baby 1st Dec haha. :)
