Tickets to the Heston Blumenthal live show! He'll love it!
A big fat nuttin! He has me. What else could he possibly want or need?
Nah, we aren't doing pressies between us this year. Saving our pennies instead.
Nothing. We had to replace our TV recently (it died after 15 years of service lol). So we decided that we wouldn't buy each other anything. It's not like we actually need anything anyway.
Bunnings vouchers. He wants a new wipper snipper but wants to choose it himself. Really any excuse for him to go to bunnings will do. our DD's have got hime socks and jocks and we will pick out a new broad brimmed hat for him.
His b'day is the 30th so will get him jack Daniels Select his favourite drink and a nice shirt.
Previous years he has had an electric shaver, a V8 Driving experience and more of the above
We have a set budget for each other and I'll buy him a couple of things that he's asked for (new psy game) and a couple of other things he may have mentioned or that he needs.
Thankfully, I got a special deal on a printed mug when Amelia had photos done last week, so I've said that can be his present ;) Otherwise he'd have been getting nothing
A home brew kit. He is so keen to try it so I figured why the heck not. And he can make me some Apple Cider when I can drink again :)
We're not giving each other anything, with the baby due shortly before xmas and his 40th just after the new year we kinda said we didn't really care :D Our gifts to each other had gotten less and less since Moo arrived anyway so it was bound to happen sooner or later!
We aren't spending much on each other this year but we do like to buy each other gifts just to do something nice for one another and I think it's the thought that counts as we see Christmas as a time of giving to the ones you love. Plus we don't really buy each other random little gifts anymore, but do make the effort on special occasions (birthdays, anniversaries etc). Usually I would go online and buy from overseas but that deadline has well & truly passed lol so I am actually at a loss this year.
Things have been so crazy I haven't even had the time to think about poor DHs gift, we are just too caught up in buying things for our little man lol oops. Last year I remember part of the gift I got him was a "worlds best Dad" BBQ apron & he loved that.
This year I am going to buy him some things I know he needs (new shorts for example) and also something more of a keepsake/ gesture type thing as well, as that usually goes down well & I write it from me & our baby. So anything personalised with photos, Dad related, handmade etc.
Sorry I couldn't be much help! I actually might pop out to the shops on the weekend & see what I can find lol. Good luck & I'm hoping to find some inspiration on here too lol ;)

Well, DH and I have kind of just combined gifts this year for big ticket items we've been saving for, which is so far a TiVo and our Stokke. I also have a little leather elephant ornament in mind for him, and a half meter canvas of him and DD and our wedding. His bday is dec 9 and I'm yet to think if something for that.
DH is getting a Gerni....really so he can clean the bugs off my truck lol, a BBQ cover and a PS3 game.
A new baby girl :D
We are expecting really soon, his birthday is the day after our babys due date and 7 days before Xmas. I plan on getting him some family guy dvd's and some itunes vouchers. Only little token things this year, partially because of finances too :D
A nerf gun
Thinking one of those Telstra touch tabs or kindles so he can surf the internet or download books. There under 200 bucks
Nothing and I expect the same LOL, we always go away at Christmas and that cost enough along with presents or kids, nieces and nephews. We were spoilt as kids and we like to do the same for all the little one's in our life. Neither of us has a problem getting something we want during the year and at the end we both get a holiday we want an need. But we always get each other a card, cards are personal and it's always lovely to get a sweet message.
Might buy df some new tools lol or something I dunno it's put in the too hard basket atm
work shirts
undies
Me ;)
maybe a PS3 game if he ever tells me what one he wants (or better yet, buys it himself and I'll wrap it!)
maybe some nice wine or port
or after showing off in front of his work mates today, he might just get a lump of coal!
Heh, I swore a couple of our mates to secrecy and picked their brains about a good case for his Warhammer miniatures ordered online....now to hope it gets here in time :)
He has no idea what to get me though...which is a little unusual for him as ordinarly it would've been wrapped in shiny paper and placed somewhere prominent to taunt me ages ago :p
I have no idea what to get DF either - I spent $400 on his birthday present last month and now Im not sure I want to spend a huge amount at Christmas when there is already so many people to buy for.
Is there a way to nicely say I don't want to buy him one but still want one from him?

I was planning on getting him a waterproof head cam (he's in to kite surfing and has been hinting at wanting one). But he just bid on a fancy new camera on ebay that he didn't really expect to win, and did, it really wasn't in the budget at the moment. I'm teaching him a lesson about big purchases before he tells me about it. I think he'll get socks or undies
Trying to convince that we give nothing to each other, but he keeps on hinting about Starcraft 2. So chances are he is getting that!
Other than his first born son... My hubby is getting a voucher for a lovely dinner date once we are home settled. Oh & after my 6 week check up so we can have a wine & some romantic after being in hospital for the last 2 months!!
A nice night out together & a hotel over night could be a good gift :)
A watch, shorts, pair of dress socks and 3 new wife beaters for work. Plus he got a son 9 mths ago well he will be 10mths xmas day

Nothing.
XHs don't deserve anything.
^^ Lol @ Divvy
Probably a pair of shorts and a nice shirt. DH had lost about 10 kgs and everything looks ridculously too big for him now! We just spent a fortune on getting some professional family photos done, so the budget is stuffed
A coffee machine :)
I bought my DH this year a car care pack from Chrisco, a Mr Cool mug from DS, CD/DVD cd holder and a new set of knives. He's wanted a new set of knives for a while, and when I get paid sometime this week, I'll be getting him a Man vs Wild pack that he pointed out in the Sanity catalogue

New BBQ :)
one of those clap activated key finders. and im going to the uk so that s my present.
No idea he just had his birthday and bought himself a motorrola zoom (allready has an ipad) and I gave him a stunning cookie bouquet from beccas biscuits!
Socks
Jocks
Dirty Joke Desk Calender for work (so politically incorrect Bwahahahahha)
Pirates of the Caribbean 4 Blu Ray
Star Wars Blu Ray Box Set
And we are buying ourselves 'Jay and Silent Bob get old' tickets
I am getting some white gold hoop earrings *squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeal*
subscription for arsenal online ... it lets him watch all the matches on the computer - we don't have foxtel etc, and free to air hardly shows any of his team's matches, so he loves his subscription!!
No idea! Was thinking of a lawn mower for a combined chrissy/birthday present considering his birthday is 2 weeks after christmas.
=( i need help too! i did get him a really exxy bday pressie this year (being his 50th i wanted it to be extra special) but im so stuck for xmas... might steal some of you girls' brilliant ideas.

I've still got no idea :crying:
I got him a PS3 game last year, which he was really excited about.. But with DD being in hospital we didn't get home for nearly 5 weeks after Christmas so he would just lay in Ronald Mac and read the book and stare at the cover for ages. lol
I vowed no PS3 games this year, and our best mate went and bought him one.... not impressed.
A BBQ cover would be good, I want to get some really good but cheap as I bought him Soundwave tickets for his birthday and they were $170.
Gah, so stuck.
I was slack this year with his birthday so am getting my sister and my mum to contribute and we are going to get him an iPad!! He has been working so freaking hard the last few months, on our place, our investment house and then just at work and deserves to be spoiled! Can't wait to see him open it when he will be expecting Apple vouchers! :D
He also needs some nice shorts so will be getting a few things like clothes from the kids for him!
