I'm really not sure.... But I had the worst heartburn with dd and she had a full head of hair
This pregnancy I've hardly had any heartburn so will be interesting to see if it's a baldy or not ;)
Terrible heartburn. Babe with so little hair I may as well say she was bald!
Both my bubs had hair. Especially DD. I didn't have heartburn. Everyone asked if I had heartburn when they saw DD. I have no idea why though as I hadn't really heard it before. Old wives tales probably based on nothing ;)
I had terrible heartburn with DD and she was a hairy little gorilla, DS1 it wasn't too bad and he was only a little hairy, and DS2 it was a bit worse than with DS1 but not so bad as DD and he was in between DD and DS1 with hairy-ness!
I have actually read an article which says there really is some correlation between beartburn and hairness of babies. Something to do with the hormones needed to grow hair or something....I can't remember where I saw it now though
I had terrible heartburn. If one more person at the time said I was going to have a hairy baby, I was going to scream!
I did have a babe with some hair on his head. Lovely coincidence.

I had horrible horrible heartburn with DD. She was born at 34 weeks with sooo much hair!
We joke that if she went fullterm she would have come out with dreadlocks.
It was sooo cute.
Terrible, awful heartburn. DD was born with lots of dark hair. All fell put and is now slowly growing back, but strawberry blonde.
Horrible heartburn with DS - and he was completely bald!
Worse heartburn with this one, interested if she'll be a baldy too

I think it really is just one of those old wives tales, like carrying high/ low/ left/ right etc etc. FWIW I had bad heartburn and DD looked like she had stuck her finger in a power socket......SO much hair
Severe heartburn here with quite a few of mine. So severe that with 2 of them i was vomitting blood and needed to be hospitalised both times and have a blood transfusion one of those times. All born bald lol. The ones where i didnt suffer bad heartburn were the ones born with lots of hair.
Heh, with DD I had heartburn to the point of vomiting blood as well, she ummm, had *some* hair when she was born - but it was all down her back not on her head.
With Penguin I had bad heartburn and would vomit, but no blood this time. He is a fuzzy little monkey with hair down his back, on his shoulders and even tufts of fuzz on his ears...and he has some (but not much) on his head, so beats DD in the fuzz stakes :)
 thanks ladies.
I had heart burn with DD1 and she was as bald as, and she didnt get any decent hair growth until she was 2yrs. DD2 I had the same heartburn and she had so much hair she looked like a monkey when she was born
This time round Im getting the heartburn back, so who knows.
(Ok so after writing this Im not sure it makes sense)
So my question comes about because the other night I was laying in bed with some really bad heartburn. And it got me thinking about the whole old wives tale. Sprout is head down, so if it has hair on its head then I couldnt work out how it could be annoying my stomach. So that made me think that maybe sprout has hairy feet, afterall thats what's closest to my stomach.. But then that got me thinking, and it went downhill from there. And now I cant work out the thinking behind such an old wives tale.
My DS2 was by far my hairiest baby, born with a full head of hair that never dropped and is still as thick as ever today yet I had the worst ever heartburn with DD1 & DD2 and they were both born with much smaller amounts of hair compared to DS2.
DD had so much hair they could see it on the ultrasound and I didn't have any heartburn at all
Both my girls were monkeys :) and I had slight heartburn but not constant or full on.
Sent from my iPhone, more than likely while I should be doing something else!
No heartburn here and both bubbas with full head of dark head. :D
There is some research to suggest that those with a higher level of oestrogen experienced more heartburn and have hairier babies. Oestrogen is responsible for both increased relation of the oesophageal sphincter and helping bub's hair grow.
My two also had a great head of hair seen on U/S and my heartburn was shocking. This time not so bad and no-one has mentioned hair. However I also think for me this time a tansverse bub is having less impact on my stomach as opposed to my very long children who were the correct way.
Horrible heartburn with all 3 of mine, all completely bald. Dd is nearly 10 months and still doesn't have a hair on her head lol.
I've noticed future-blonde babies have no hair, brunettes have at least some hair.
I had awful reflux that made me sick but not heartburn. My baby had some hair but not huge amounts.

I had shocking heartburn with DD1, slept sitting up for 2 months, but no hair at all! She was pretty much bald til she was 3.
DD2 & DS were hairy, but heartburn was nowhere near as bad.
DD3, a little heartburn, hair like DD1 I think
I slept sitting up for the entire 3rd tri. DS even had a hairy bum! We joked he was (and still has) lots more hair than daddy as well as some jokes about Dutch people being hairy (DH is Dutch) and being a mini oaf right from the start (DH gets called oaf boy in my family cos we are all bean poles and he's a bloody body builder) :p
