I am just wondering how long it was from when you "dropped" to when you gave birth?
I know I know .... how long is a piece of string right?

probably not what you want to hear...but I 'dropped' in my last week at work (I finished at 36w4d) and bub was born at 41 weeks
Anyone's guess what will happens for you, but with Ds I only noticeably dropped the day labour started. I might have begun to earlier but it was really noticeable on the day. Dd I was induced and I never noticed the drop, I'm guessing I was already on the drip when it happened.
I dropped this time last year! Baby was born about 50 hours later - but we did hurry her along a little. I don't think it would have been more than 3 days if we hadn't.
As you probably know people were telling me I had dropped for weeks :D but I actually couldn't see any difference until my waters broke the day before I had this one.
Hope you're holding your bub very soon!
I droppped at about 36 weeks I think...went into labour at 40 weeks.
I dropped 2 days before having DS and dropped even more (according to DH) while in labor with him ;)
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - even though I should be cleaning ;)
about 4 weeks ahead of B-day.
good luck!!
Hmmm, sooooo not what you want to hear. I really didn't drop until labour started! Helpful aren't I? :D
With dd1 I never dropped, dd2 not sure either but with ds I dropped at the shops and labour started a few hours later but that was at 34 weeks, stayed in labour until the cheeky thing arrived at 39+5 when my waters finally broke.
DS dropped the morning contractions started.
DD - Yeah I carried high the whole pregnancy, well into my labour!!
Wow so it really is a case of "how long is a piece of string" darn!!!
Bump has dropped significantly in the last 2-3 daysand her movements (while still 10 on the kick board) are getting few and further between,I know it will be soon coz we're 40 weeks next saturday and I am yet to make my due date. I was just hoping it would be more of a tell tale signthat things were progressing and not too far off ...... one can dream :D
Thanks ladies x x x x
According to my naturopath I had dropped at 37 weeks and she said she didn't think I'd make it to 40... I went to 41+2, sure showed her :P
I don't remember dropping  and no one told me I had dropped... Maybe nonone was paying attention?
First dropped at 34 weeks has her at 38+
Dd2 dropped the night before
Ds didn't drop
Dd3 dropped four days before I had her
So completely different every time sorry
DS - what drop?
This one - dropped a few days ago but other than knowing he's significantly lower due to the horrendous pain in my pelvis I don't think he's coming anytime soon, but of course you never no :)
Not long to go!!!!!! FWIW I dropped at around 36 weeks with DS and got to 42 without going into labour!! :| Sorry not much help am I - darn that string!! ;)
with DD1 I dropped 12 hours before my waters broke, she was born about 18 hours after they broke and the actual labour was about 6 hours. With DD2 I dont think she dropped until my waters broke at the start of labour. Good luck
had show on the Sat, bubs dropped on sunday and had bubs on Monday!!
Just a bumpity bump from me.
I dropped on Sunday and bub is half way engaged. And putting significant pressure on everything low. My DD1 engaged much earlier, but being a first baby, I guess that's to be expected.
I was so hoping to make it to 40 weeks for the baby's sake (birthday wise!), and I guess hearing your stories there is still a good chance we'll get there! But oh boy, I can't say my bladder is happy to hear it. :p
I didnt drop, also at my last antenatal visit on the thursday (bub was born monday) we were still only 4/5 engaged (which is only the very top of the head into the pelvis, so really 4/5 unengaged). we had period pain like prelabour for 24hrs so i guess he probably started moving then. only had 6 1/2 hrs of real labour though.
I don't know when I dropped TBH. But according to middies, I had an appt on the Friday (bubs was born Monday) and I was only 2/5-3/5 engaged :) and I had a 14hr labour
