I know this is old news to some, but I am pregnant with #6 :) I am having a hard time feeling any connection and my instincts are failing me right now so I though I would post in here in hope that it may help.
I am coming up to 12 weeks :)

Congratulations. I was worried when I was pregnant with DS1 because I didn't feel much connection during my pregnancy but after I bought him home from the hospital I realised he was just splendid.

Congratulations, that is wonderful news :happyforyou:
So exciting!! Hope you have a h&h pg. Are the others excited?
Meg, I am not scanning yet, and may not at 20 weeks, will wait and see... Maybe it will help me bond?
Jen, not many people are excited, they are shocked too much and quite often forego any congratulations or anything like that. Very few people even ask when I am "due". *sigh* Maybe this is part of my lack of connection... Who knows?
Oh wow Tan :) thats awesome news! Congrats xx
Congratulations Tanya!
That's so awesome!!! :leap:
Congratulations!!!!! Makes me feel less weird for thinking about #5!! I think heaps of kids would be awesome!!
Congratulations Tanya! :happyforyou: I am really excited for you. I am sorry to hear that you have encountered ambivalence and shock from people in your life.

Huge congrats Tanya!
Why are people so shocked - because it is #6?
:confetti: Huge congrats Tanya!!:hooray:
Boo to those that are less than happy for you, I hope they come to their senses soon
Congratulations!!!
Congratulations! Glad to see I'm not the only mum with #6 on the way. :) I found that once I started feeling better and started showing more, it made the pregnancy/baby feel more real. And, once we found out what we were having, and I was feeling lots of movement, it really helped the "connected" feeling. Don't worry - it will be fine - you'll love this baby to bits. :) And I really hope that you get some good, encouraging, enthusiastic support from friends and family soon!
Huge congratulations x
Thanks all :)
OP, yep, I guess more than 3 kids these days is unusual *shrugs*
Cricket, I am becoming more comfortable telling people now, I mean I am almost 12 weeks so I think people should know and I have just been telling anyone who will listen... love all the expressions *rolls eyes*
Congratulations Tanya :)

I'm sorry not many people are excited, I was more thinking about your own family and the other kids. Meh to the rest of them. :nahnah:
I'd have half a dozen too if I was living a different kind of life. Sometimes the choices we make help to define the family we have I guess. Maybe they're a bit jealous that they don't have the fabulous large family that you do!
A new baby is exciting no matter whether it's no 1 or no 6 or no 3! And well worth celebrating.
Bah, they'll get over it. You guys are doing what's right for you and that's what matters.
If it helps - when I told my sister about my third pregnancy, she told me I was making the biggest mistake of my life. Yep.
Any thing that came after that paled into insignificance.
