We saw a heartbeat!

It's time to share - yesterday I had an ultrasound that showed a little tiny teddy baby, with tiny little arms and legs and a lovely strong HEARTBEAT :heartbeat:

When I walked in the door the sonographer put me at a 1 in 4 chance of another miscarriage... after seeing the heartbeat and the embryo, almost a fetus now, he said it has dropped down to 1 in 50 :happydance:

I'm terrified and excited. But I have to start believing it is going to be ok and embracing the journey.
(And if it isn't, I will need you all more than ever.)

The scan put me at 8 weeks yesterday - EDD 3/10/12.

And that not bonding, or embracing the baby will not change the outcome if it's destined to be a sad one. Instead, love that little teddy baby as much as you humanly can. Be in the moment. Stroke your belly. Sing to your belly. If something sad were to happen, you can at least look back knowing that baby felt real love, every minute of every day.

Wishing you all the best. 1 in 50 are fantastic odds, by the way. This baby is coming home!
