Water just Broke

Ok, I was lying in bed and water just gushed out of me, like a waterfall...and there's like white sticky stuff coming out....is this is?

I'm not having any bad pains, just small ones so far...

Ummm...yeah I think this is it! :D

I didn't have any contractions when my water broke either, it doesn't have to happen that way ;)

Good luck and all the best!!! Don't rush in if you don't need to - you will likely labour better and quicker at home as you are relaxed and not restricted - labour often slows or stalls when you arrive! Those hormones can take some hours to kick in, and I am sure you don't want them to be stimulated artificially or unnecessarily :)

Rang the hospital and the nurse told me to have a shower and put a pad on....yet everytime I sneeze, cough or walk around it just gushes...

Gotta say I am relaxed cause I know labour coud be hours or a day or two away...

My partners is busy fidgeting around with the camera....in preparation...lol

Yep you will find that with the fluid also some women get gushes with contractions :) Not long now - all the best for a wonderful birth!!!

Thanks everybody for the warm wishes and kind words....

Ended up having a c-section at Sunshine Hospital instead of Werribee because the ******* anaesthesiologist didn't want to do the epidural on a heavier woman (he got there late..about 45 minutes, came into the room said nothing and left, my SIL overheard him say his not going to do an epi on me unless he knows my weight, so the nurse comes in and asks me, leaves and comes in about 2 minutes later and says he can't do it and won't)...so after keeping me there for 9 + hours (and not mentioning anything about my weight) after my waters broke they rushed me to Sunshine Hospital where I had an emergency c-section...

But before that the head person of the Hospital came in an apologised that this had happened, had she been there it would have never happened...because they have policies in place in regards to women over 100kg's...

So anyway to cut a long story short...I am impressed and grateful to Sunshine Hospital and all thier staff who do a great job...and disapointed in Werribee Hospital...I would have rather gone to sunshine hospital had I known they would treat anybody like this...

Shame Werribee Hospital...Shame...lol....

Silvi - sorry to hear about the anaethesiologist and the emerg c/section. It's great that u and bub came out of it healthy and happy though. A big congrats on ur little Tyler :confetti:

wow,i have never heard of them being put off by weight before.That has surprised me.I had an epidural for the last pregnancy.I had GD and was quite big.Im hopeing to not have one this time and just have some gas and air for abit of help :pray:

I wont lie when i say that i am a chicken when it comes to pain lol.
