I've come across a few - both boys & girls. I like it though especially for a boy. Great boys name IMO.
Also, google nsw baby names. The first thing that comes up is the NSW govt site that shows trends in names & their rank. I imagine other states would have similar trends.
Out of 40 odd kids at work, we have 0 Riley's.
I know of 3 under 3 years old.
I know of one girl Riley, aged 2.
I know a little girl called Riley, she's three.
I have come across a few Riley's lately.. Yas's son is Riley and I think since then I have really noticed the name.. Both girls and boys.. I don't think it's really common, but there are more Riley's than I thought..
I have 2 friends who have little boys named Riley and another who has it as a middle name for her son. All awesome little boys :)
Two co-workers have named their baby boys Riley in the last 12 months :) It's a lovely name
yeah I hear it often around the place. it's a nice name although its a unisex name no matter how you spell it, so as long as you don't mind people mistaking what gender your child might be on paper, then go for it! It was on our name list at one stage!
Dd1 has 3 Riley's in her year at school (grade1) but I don't know many younger than 5.
I have 2 Riley's in my family one is 4 the other is 2. A friends done is 9 and is called Riley too, sounds like its popular but if you like it it doesn't matter. Two of mine have top 10 names but wouldn't change them.
I have a girl Rylee - 5 yrs :) Have to say, have come across more boys than girls...though didn't know that at the time when she was named.
I know about 3 Riley's all boys!

My baby brother is Riley Jack, he's 2 :) other than that i know 2 others and they are a nearly 4 year old at pre-prep with DD1 and a 23 year old and she's spelt Rhylie
Thanks all for the replies. While there are a few Riley's floating about, in Qld the name was more popular back in 2007 than in 2010 or 2011. I've done my research, LOL!
Even though I've still got almost 20 weeks to go, I think I'm kind of stuck on Riley (or Ryley) Jack. Hopefully DH will feel the same way!
I think it's a great choice of name. My preferred spelling would be Riley. If you want a different spelling, have you considered Reilly? I like it that way too.
I know of alot of Riley's. I was thinking about this being a popular name just today actually. Riley and Levi seem to be very popular for boys these days. Either that or just among the people i know.
