Giving DD a queen bed and eventually sharing with sibling?
Sorry for the lame title, didn't really know how to head this  Basically, has anyone given their toddler a full sized bed when they've transitioned? We currently have a queen sized bed, the mattress is actually new last year, but during this pregnancy want to upgrade to a king, as we found a queen is a little squishy for cosleeping. Our bed frame is quite high, so we'd sell that on eBay, get an on the floor frame and put some side rails on it for DD, with the eventual view of DD and her sibling sharing the queen. Has anyone else done something like this? We'll start transitioning DD from our bed to the queen once we buy a new one, probably when she's around 15 months.
Is this a silly idea, or do other people's toddlers and siblings sleep in a big bed, instead of a single or toddler bed? I figure once DD is old enough that she wants a new bed, we'll buy another for #2 and they can split up.
Thoughts?
