What do you need?

Hi All

been talking to Astrolady about putting together some general info threads for the c'link/family assistance stuff - links to the information on the new human services site etc - but i'm not sure exactly what bits of info will be most needed - so hit me with it!

let me know what you need help finding on the website, what you need help interpreting etc. i'm not going to put heaps of info in there, but i'm going to make it so these can be linked back by anyone when questions come through that have already been answered.

i'll keep an eye on things and if/when info changes i'll update (so pm me if links are broken etc) i'll be putting links though, so you might have to do some research yourself

i am finding that there are a lot of questions that are answered almost identically but because previous replies have been lost they get asked again - so this will (hopefully) make it a bit easier.

no guarantees i'll put everything in there but if you have anything, feel free to ask

I don't receive any clink/FAO benefits but I just wanted to say how ace you are for doing this BG!

I have seen several posts asking what are the dates for the CCR quarterly payments - some might find it helpful to have a link to that info?

It might be worth while updating when new payements are outlined by the goverment with a brief outline (although knowing the governemtn and the media there always seem to be lots of hype before anyone gets training in the new changes :doh:) May be worth just putting in a line that no specifics are available yet

i was thinking of doing a run down of the CCB calculation cos i know i've typed that one up a few times. have started typing up some stuff about the different child care stuff last night but got tired doing it. it won't happen in a hurry so don't hold your breath waiting for it - but i'll get to it!


i'm not going to put actual figures in the docs - if i do, i'll have to edit every three months when they change (for some payments) and it's a pain in the backside!

the changeover to the human services website is happening now and should be completed soon, but no actual dates are confirmed

i want to use links so that it's not anyones interpretation, it's actual direct from the website kwim? i know it can be hard to navigate sometimes, especially if you're not sure exactly what you're looking for so i want to simplify things a bit

Hey BG just wondering if there's any update on the hourly rate from July1 on your end? Normally it increases but there's been no mention so far of how much it will be going up to.

usually FAO staff find out at the same time as CCP's - only a few days before (that's if we find out early at all!)

only other thing I'd suggest is to do a "sticky" thread titled something like, "My Centrelink dosh hasn't come through - what should I do?" because that (other than things which would be solved by links to the online calcs and comparison calcs) seems to be the main recurring thing I see around the boards :)
