Ditto! I'll be so boring in this thread because I'll be reading this series for ages lol. I'm 94% through A Storm Of Swords apparently. I completely agree about liking some stories more than others. Sometimes a character title will come up and I just think "blergh, next" lol. On the other hand, I hate when he leaves a character and I *really* want to know what happens, and he doesn't get back to them for aaaaaagggesss!
Sub sub subbing....
Am still reading the Lee Childs - Reacher series.
Love lee child's.
subbing, and sadly Im not reading anything at the moment. I cant find anything that takes my fancy :(
Subbing
Sent from HTC wildfire using TAPATALK, so forgive any spelling errors its a small keyboard.
Still working my way through "Raising your Spirited Child". Also notes for ABA training.
Struggling through 50 shades. Can't wait to finish so I can get into something worthwhile.
I read the Game of Thrones series like 10 years ago. I'd love to revisit it... But I own the BOOKS and can't be bothered paying for them again on Kindle.
So what can I read next ladies?
OP - The series isn't finished yet :) The fifth book just came out last year :) Though that means he's going to take aaaaaaages to write the next one *sigh*

I'm up to chapter 16 of the first 50 Shades book, and getting a bit over it now. Earlier in the week I finished reading Eat, Love, Pray by Elizabeth Gilbert
Really Teni? Why do I feel like I read more than that? Hmm.
Ah well! Might have to dig out my books!
WilliamsMummy - depending on how good you are with names, you might benefit from keeping a post-it in the front of the book, with a diagram of the different characters ... some of the names I found tricky to keep track of!
I'm reading the third book of The Hunger Games. I'm really enjoying them.
Also reading "Raising Boys" a bit here and there.
I still have 50 Shades waiting for me on the kindle. Seems wrong to read it while holding an innocent, wholesome newborn ;-)
I'm reading David Baldacci's latest - The Innocent. Fast paced thriller that has no depth so good for picking up and putting down.
OP = have you read Nelson Demille? I love love love his books - the earlier ones more than the last four or so. They are brilliant with really well written, interesting storlines and all different.
They are incredibly long books lol - I read for about a week, then saw on my Kindle that I was only something like 5% into book 3 (I *ahem* skipped book 1 because I watched the first season of the tv show) :jawdrop: Sure, I've got Amelia as a distraction, but I am a FAST reader. I thought I was nearer to the middle

I'm trying to decide what to read next too, not sure if I should read 50 shades or not? So much hype over it makes me think it won't live up to my expectations lol!
Might get onto 'raising boys' while I decide what else to read!
Ok so Im still searching for a new book to read, but just wanted to ask about the Jack Reacher books. Am I right in hearing that Tom Cruise will be playing him in the movie version?? My vision of Jack was that he was much much much taller than Tom ;)
Sandie, go read them with no expectations and the books will still not reach them.
I am currently re-reading The Outlander series by Diana Gabaldan. Love this series. Great if you like historical fiction.
Subbing. Not reading anything right now, so will be coming into this thread again once motivation takes me.
currently reading Flash and Bones by Kathy Reichs. it's ok but she's no Patricia Cornwell! even if they did make the TV show 'Bones' based on her books :)
Sent using my SamGal ;)
From the last thread :)
I am reading The People Smuggler - The true story of Ali Al Jenabi.
I have also loaded the Gina Rinehart unofficial biography to read next and then I might go onto the Michael J Fox biography.
I am popping in to give an update on The People Smuggler, it's written by Robin De Crespigny. I am absolutely enthralled by this book. It's an incredibly emotional book.
I am amazed that Ali Al Jenabi is still alive and his plight and struggles in this book are truely heartbreaking, some uplifting and some I cannot even begin to understand.
I felt the same about The People Smuggler Heather, truly heartbreaking but one of those books I couldn't put down. I've read it twice.
Just started reading Room by Emma Donoghue which my sister gave me to borrow. I've read Slammerkin by the same author and enjoyed it. Although it comes with a 'may be disturbing' and a 'heartbreaking' warning. Think after this I'll go for something lighter!
I'm reading "Raising Boys"
Finished The People Smuggler, it was a fantastic book. I cried, laughed and cheered him on. It's a must read IMO.
I am now going to read the Gina Rinehart unauthorised biography.
Beauty & the werewolf by mercedes lackey. Twists on the classic tale; it's one in a series based on fairy tales by lackey & you don't have to have read the others (tales of the five hundred kingdoms is the series)

I'm Reading the second one in the 50 shades! But just finished The Venetian Contract by Marina Fiorato. I've bought 2 more of her books cause I liked the first one so much. A great read!
Third book in the hunger games.
Sent from my iPhone, more than likely while I should be doing something else!
I've just started The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown because my brother reckons it's good. We shall see.
The third 50 Shades book (first one was for bookclub so I ended up getting the others to find out how the story ends!).
ZF - I really enjoyed the hunger games?
Mrs P - apparently they do it ;)
The postie delivered 3 Donna Leon novels I haven't read :)
Apparently they're making a movie or TV show or summat. I hope that the person who plays Brunetti is hot so I can continue to have a crush on him.
I'm gearing up for an orgy of reading books with a Japanese theme. Any recommendations? I've read and will re-read Memoirs of a Geisha, Tale of Murasaki, The Tales of the Otari.
Samurai girl (teen) series of 6 books - liked them sort of crosses Japan/uSA if I remember correctly when I read them a couple of years ago at school (teacher librarian; I'm not that young;))

I just started The World According to Garp. I've only just discovered tonight that it's fiction - I've seen the movie a couple of times and have always thought it was a true story!
Sent from my iPhone, probably while a toddler sits on my head.
The diary of a married call girl.
Its actually pretty good.
Sent from my Galaxy S3 so please excuse errors.
Just finished The Book Thief.
Ahhhhmazing. Will be on my top ten list for many years to come.
I have just downloaded The Help & Pawn of Prophecy. Thanks to you all for your recommendations :)
At the moment I am reading "Secret Lives" by Diane Chamberlain. It sounded promising but has failed miserably to live up to expectations. The story line has bugged from the start. It's turned out to be a bit too "mills & boon" for my liking. I'm not finished yet, but if the ending isn't what I expect it will be, I'll eat my kindle :p The only reason I'm still reading it is because it is the last available new book I have & I don't feel like re-reading anything.
I'm struggling with Fifty Shades of Grey, and am ready to give up ...
Next is "Smart Thinking" and it's a "guide to improving skills in analysis, critical thinking, and the effective communication of arguments and explanations"
Just finished The Innocent by David Baldacci and all I have left on the kindle is Fifty Shades of Grey. Can't say I'm all that inspired to start reading it after so many negative comments. I'm about to download George Faletti's latest, after I work out what its called! He writes thrillers that are a bit violent at times but a good read with some interesting twists.
