What jewellery do you wear?

Yesterday at playgroup, we got into a discussion about jewellery, and I appeared to be in the minority in that I wear the exact same items all the time, irregardless of time of day, my outfit, where I am going. Most people said they wore different things depending on where they are going and what they are wearing.

so what do you wear?

I ALWAYS wear a chain around my neck (use to be 2 until one broke so now the charms are on the same chain) with my pentagram (with runes on it) and my Tardis. and I ALWAYS wear my engagement ring (and my wedding ring - even though its not technically jewellery). I also only have plain studs or sleepers in my ears (8 holes). This stuff I NEVER take off.

Stuff that i put on when I'm getting ready in the mornings, I take off at night in bed, and I take off in the shower are: a ring on my right thumb (did have another ring I wore but it too broke), I wear another necklace that has my triple skull. and I have 2 bracelets, both are skulls, but one has rainbow skulls on elastic and the other is turquoise and black knots.

I vary my earrings and necklaces

I only wear jewellery that I have bought or that has meaning for me.

I wear the same stuff everyday. Never take it off.

The ring DP bought me for valentines day when i was 17, the ring he bough me for valentines day last year and the studs in my ears. I used to wear my engagement ring but since he doesn't want to get married i don't wear it anymore.

He bought me a gorgeous pendant but i'm allergic to the chain its on, my neck breaks out in a horrible rash so can't wear it until he buys a new chain for me.

I used to be huge on jewellery, particularly fake stuff from Diva if i went out i'd wear a bunch of rings, bracelets, bangles, necklaces and big dangley earrings but since having kids i don't wear any of it.

you could be allergic to nickel like me. I can only wear stainless steal, or pewter because everything else has nickel in it. (even silver coins here in australia have the damn stuff in it, my hands get so itchy if i hold change). sterling silver is full of the stuff here. but in the UK it isn't allowed in jewellery unless it specifically says 'contains nickel'.

Yeah i do have a nickel allergy, my engagement ring is white gold and has a small percentage of nickel in it and sometimes when wearing it my finger flares up :(

I wear the same thing every day too.

another white gold + diamond ring DF gave me,
yellow gold ring my dad gave me for my 21st,
white gold necklace with a ceylon sapphire surrounded diamonds DF gave me,
white gold bracelet DF gave me
And my watch - when I remember to put it on!

Engagement ring, wedding ring & diamond earrings. I usually wear a gold bracelet too but a small link broke and I keep forgetting to get it fixed. I also wear a gold necklace in occasion but DD3 loves to pull at it and I'm scared she'll break it.

I wear my wedding & engagement rings and usually the same earings (either diamond studs or sleepers). If I am going out I will put on a bracelet, change my earings and sometimes put on a necklace.

My engagement & wedding rings are the only thing I wear regularly. But half the time I don't as I forget to put them back on after washing up, changing the baby's bum, showering, bathing kids etc.
I sometimes wear studs but the baby tries to rip them out so usually I don't bother.

only things i wear all the time are my earrings - and they only get changed if there is a spesh occassion to change them for
i usually have an amber necklace on but took it off yesterday to wear a different one just because - and forgot to put it on last night

i have to get the diamonds in my wedding and engagement rings checked as one is catching, so haven't worn them for a while now.

if we're going out, i put on whatever matches my mood and clothes at the time. usually a couple of rings, two bracelets and an anklet. i used to wear more, all the time, but since having DD and developing dermatitis under rings from all the extra hand washing, i just don't bother. plus she asks for the same amount of bling as mummy - so if i put a bracelet on, she HAS to have one on too - and she just doesn't ahve as much to choose from as me, so i go without...

I never take off my engagement and wedding rings, or the silver heart ring DH got for my 30th.

I vary earrings, necklaces and bracelets - all costume stuff.

Pretty boring here. Wedder, engagement and eternity rings and sleepers.

I will change my earrings or add a costume necklace/bangle if I'm getting dressed up but not very often that happens lol.

I always take my jewellery off at night, and frequently these days I will take my earrings off during the day if Miss A is unsettled and I need her up on my shoulder.

Each morning I put on my wedding and engagement rings, and a dress ring I got for my 40th. I always wear a necklace, and its either the pendant my DH designed for me when DD1 was born, a pendant he bought me while overseas last year, the pendant my girls chose for me last Mother's Day, one we bought in Singapore years ago on our first holiday together or if we're going somewhere special, the pendant my DH gave to me when he proposed. I have maybe 6 or so chunky sort of costume jewellery necklaces but I very rarely wear them. I can't believe I'm actually saying this, but he needs to stop buying me diamond pendants! All my diamond pendants and the one the girls chose for me all have incredible sentimental meaning, so I always struggle to choose. DD1 will usually help me out by saying something like "Mummy, you haven't worn the pretty one Daddy gave you for your birthday for a while. You should wear it so Daddy doesn't think you don't like it". So gorgeous.

I always wear earrings - usually diamond studs because I can't be bothered getting my jewellery box down to choose new ones. I don't have many earrings to choose from - I can't wear costume jewellery earrings because of how my ears react, and I can't sway my DH to buy me earrings instead of necklaces ;-)

Lastly my watch.

In my dreams.

None of my rings fit me any more. My hair usually conceals my earrings. So these days I'm all about the pendants. Love a piece that displays a lovely gemstone well, so big chunks of amber, moonstone, etc. But most of them have a secret meaning too, either because they were a gist from someone special, or because the gemstones or even the shape of the piece is like a symbol in my subconscious.

Mine changes daily.

Most days it is a necklace and one or two rings.

Occasionally a bracelet.

I used to wear my Tiffany & Co double loveheart necklace every day but the catch holding the two hearts onto the chain has come off & disappeared, I have to go and get it replaced.

But I have to take everything off to go to bed, I also have to take what I've worn to work off when I get home (as part of the after work ritual).

24/7 I wear my engagement and wedding rings, a bracelet from my uncle, a bracelet and chain from DH (with his wedding ring on the chain atm) and 7 CZ sterling silver earings. I used to wear a different chain & pendant that DH gave me for our first valentine but DS broke it last year & I still haven't had it fixed. I will change most of my jewellery if we are going out, to more elaborate jewelry that also has sentimental value.

I never remove my jewllery. Not to shower or bed or anything. I always have- engagement, wedding, eternity rings. A ring mum gave me for my 16th. An amber necklace, and a pendant that says ' I love you to the moon,' with my kids name. I wore a harmony ball while pregnant and breastfeeding, but sadly that is packed away. I ave a belly and ear piercings, but don't wear them any more.

I always have my wedding ring, allergy bracelet, necklace my brother gave me for my 18th, earrings. I put my watch on each day..

I have white gold earrings that rarely come out although I do change them for work sometimes.

I wear my commitment ring and watch every day but take them off at night and when exercising. I will change my necklace and bracelet options everyday.

My silver Tiffany's bracelet (my memento from first overseas trip) my white gold wedding and engagement rings, and my silver Tiffany linked rings necklace with a white gold diamond cross added.
I change earrings depending what I wear. Same with necklace if I need to add some colour.

I also have a stainless steel ring that says I love you and DH has a matching one saying I Know.

And normally I wear a silver chain with my Lego heart pendant on it but ATM have swapped it for a amber necklace in hopes of helping my pg headaches but I really miss my Lego necklace :( but hate wearing two chains that tangle makes me feel strangled

Always wear engagement and wedding rings. I keep forgetting to put earrings in so the holes are closing over. I always used to wear a single black pearl pendant but after DD lunged at it with her mouth open a couple of weeks ago that is gone for a bit

I used to wear my rings everyday. Feels wierd without them.

My watch band has worn through (stainless steel!), so I need that fixed. Worn it every day for the last 10 years, even my wedding day. Missing it!
My necklace, has 7 lucky rings on it. My anklet. Cheapy I bought from Avon 2.5 year ago & is still in one piece! & my belly ring. That varies though.
I don't take any of the above off.

I have 3 earring holes, but don't think to wear earrings often at all. Holes just don't close! :lol:
I don't have much jewellery to swap around.

Aww I love that!

I wear my sleepers all the time. Apart from that usually its just my pearl necklace and bracelet from OH but usually only to work or for special events for those two, and they always come straight off afterwards. Otherwise I occasionally wear my pandora bracelet or earrings, and sometimes change my earrings to something the kids have given me, again usually only for special events. I dont wear rings anymore as my fingers a short and fat so I dont like them.

I wear 3 earrings (have 7 holes in my ears) that I never take out. I also wear a.solid silver bangle that dp have me for my birthday a few years ago & that had only come off to go through the scanner at the airport & when I was doing a boxing class.

I do wear other bracelets, earrings and necklaces to match an outfit.

I used to wear rings alot but stopped when I was pregnant with ds. I don't have any with real meaning at the moment anyway.

Only piece of jewellery that I know I will wear every day is my wedding ring.

I have about 50 necklaces/pendants etc, so most of the time I'll wear one (or more) of those.

I usually wear one or two pairs of earrings, but sometimes none.

Engagement, eternity and dress rings when I feel like it. (My "real" engagement ring is too big to wear every day - it is a hazard! I did buy myself a smaller version of it so I can wear it everyday, but then I get a callus on my finger, so wear the 5% cost replacement maybe a third of the time.)

I do usually wear a watch, I have 4 of those atm.

I do like bracelets and will wear... well, usually 3-4 but sometimes 9-10 on each arm, depending on where I'm going. I have a mix of silver, gold, copper, plastic, wood, stone and semi-precious bracelets.

I wear the same ones everyday.

I never take off my gold necklace with 'K' pendant on it and also a gold bracelet.

My mum's wedding ring on the opposite hand (comes off at night - my mum gave me her ring when she started getting artheritis in her nuckles and she didn't want to have the ring cut off, my mum and dad have been married for 52yrs so it's pretty old and special)

and if I'm going out I'll put on my gold bangle - something I always wanted and DH got for me a couple of years ago. I don't wear it everyday as the kids love to grab onto it and pull which then really hurts my wrist..

I do have special occassion jewellery, but rarely wear it. I probably need to go through it actually remember what I have :)
