Are you rocking your 2013 health goals?
Hell yes! I'm the lightest I've been in about six years and only 5kgs away from my "healthy weight". :) proud of me!

I'm exercising a lot but food is just terrible right now. Every night after dinner I can't stop eating chocolate and chips or shapes, Etc DH knows we are not going to buy anymore but the other day I was craving cc's so he went and got me some. Really really need healthy snacks ideas and options.

Only started my resolution to eat better when we moved house a fortnight ago but so far it's going great. Lots of salads and fruit, no deserts and only a couple of slightly unhealthy or unnecessary snacks.

What are your health goals for 2014?
Re: Are you rocking your 2013 health goals?
get rid of this monster gut. that will be a big boost to improving my health.
Re: Are you rocking your 2013 health goals?
To finally shift this weight around my tummy, at the gym this morning and have a houseful of fruit.
Re: Are you rocking your 2013 health goals?
This year I would like to set the goal to lose at least 10kg but hopefully 20kg. When we move into our own place again ill start the healthier eating and join a gym when I'm working and the cash flow improves. For now I have increased my water intake and make sure I At least eat one piece of fruit a day.
Re: Are you rocking your 2013 health goals?
I'm making this the year I be "selfish" and take care of me. I'm a confident parent and know what I'm doing there, and that DH can easily spend a good chunk of time with the kids while I get in some exercise.
I need to lose a minimum 20kgs to get back to my ideal range so I've broken that down to a minimum loss of 2kgs per month.
I want to set good examples for my kids so I have a goal to continue walking with them, minimum five times a week, and have healthy food in the house limit take away to once a week, and make that something like subway.
There are more but I've written them down at home. It's all about a healthier me this year.
Re: Are you rocking your 2013 health goals?
I'm going to go back to behaving myself on the 12WBT (I've been really bad for the past month...) and get my water intake back to a reasonable level - aiming for 1.5L a day, and cutting waaaaaaaaay back on diet softdrinks.
Increasing my fresh produce, minimising packaged products at home in general.
Fresh air exercise at least once a week (realistically, my main exercise is going to be at the gym due to the hours I work... I don't consider the 500m walk to and from work as being exercise...).
And I'm starting the year with a prayer and meditation retreat next week (just for 40 hours- not the whole week) to pray and reflect on where I'm at and where I'm going, and how I plan on getting there.
I'm considering whether to cut my mid-week drinking, or perhaps limiting it to no more than one ...
Maybe cutting down on TV binges too ... I tend to get really into a series, and will get home at 10 and watch 3 in a row ... sleep would be better!
A monthly date night with DH.
Maybe a monthly on-on-one date with each boy (ie: DH takes one boy, I take the other... two weeks later, we do the opposite ...).
Little things which can be realistically be worked into a routine, without needing to magically come up with more time or money or energy.

To give the bird to the last 10kg I want gone. GONE!!!!!!
Re: Are you rocking your 2013 health goals?
To learn to read and understand food packaging so I know how much sugar we ate consuming. I think our diet is relatively healthy but want to make sure. Also need to shift 2kg that i put on over winter and cannot seem to shift.
