Tonight I signed up to play netball on a Thursday night... EEEEK!
I LOVE netball but haven't played in about 6yrs.
I'm so unfit but it's something for ME to do and enjoy so I'm 100% committed
I joined a team with a bunch of strangers but everyone seems lovely and there is even some taller than me ;) .
I'm very conscious of how I'm going to look in that netball skirt but I have to start somewhere.
WALKING, NETBALL & my fit ball at home... I'll be smoking hot before we know it :rofl:

Good on you, I would love to get back into netball but would have to sign up to a random team and just don't have the guts to do it. Very brave of you and I bet you'll be rewarded with some fab new friends.

Good luck babe SO fun and quick!!! I found sprinting the hardest even though I could pound out 5 kms, a quick half court sprint would kill me!!!!! Have a blast!!!

yeah, but what right do they have to say what to wear. it's not professional sport, it's c grade local comp. as long as shorts are team colours or neutral, and not an OHS hazard what is the problem?
But you choose to play in there competition, so you adhere to the uniform rules.

You can play wearing bike shorts with a medical certificate.
In comps that I play in now- bike shorts are permitted- but not longer that your skirt.
Doesn't really worry me cause I'm used to playing in comps with a 'no bike short' rule.
I'm kind of excited to be joining you zf. But I haven't worn a short skirt since primary school I think. Oh well we can both be uncomfortable together. I'm going to be a midget in the team then.

I wouldn't worry if the back was the same as the front but my super sexy j-lo butt (:rofl:) is a bit ummm horrid and not at all in my comfort range... Sure I will be ok though.
Get some boy leg bloomers?
My skirts have built in boy leg shorts/knickers a bit $$ but worth it.
One of the other girls has provided skirts but I might look into those Emma, where did you get them?

Your awesome Hun, they seem quite strict on a few things so we will check just in case.
Netball VIC is strict with uniform rules and any affiliated club is 'supposed' to follow VNA rules :)

I don't see how bike shorts in the same color as your skirt is a bad thing... Hmmmm will ask about it being seen in & see what they say.
I am sure they would change the bike tight rules once they saw ME in a short netball skirt. Ewwww, thunder thighs!
Haha yeah I'm not at all confident in my body so any chance to cover up is welcome.
