I'm TCC number 2 and am charting my CM. I'm CD 13 and this morning orgasmed... Then a few hours later I noticed a heap if what looks exactly like ewcm- glossy, clear and super stretchy. Is female orgasm (different to arousal or pre-orgasm) the same in appearance as ewcm? It has no smell at all. And I wasn't about to do the sink or float test in a glass of water.
Hmmm, I'm not sure to be honest. But it's an interesting question.
What's the float or sink test?
I googled female orgasm fluid and got a lot of forum results saying if you put the mucous in a glass of water you can tell what type it is depending on whether it sinks or floats... I've heard the same re semen and it balling up in water.
Hmmm, I think that arousal fluid is exactly like ewcm, but it's my understanding that the other fluid is watery, like pee, and can be mistaken for it often. :lol:
my understanding is female orgasm fluid is more liquid. sure it wasn't old male fluid? also your natural lubes and his can be a bit like that I think, it could even be O fluid? you being CD 13.
I think we are getting confused between arousal mucous (which is like ewcm) and female ejaculatory fluid (which is more like pee).:
My experience of ewcm versus arousal mucous is that ewcm is "stronger" and can be stretched more.
Could be semen? I always gets heaps of discharge after dtd from all the sen coming back down and my body doing a clean out

I have this too, it was always hard to track my ewcm (if any) the day after dtd.:
ewcm is stretchy and semen isn't itms

Oh just realised what you meant... No I don't think it's older semen, there's no smell at all semen has a distinct smell to me. It is not thin at all, very transparent, very stretchy between my fingers. The reason I'm doubting its ewcm is because since that show I've had nothing... Very damp but that's about it.
Ok just went to the toilet again and there was more. I'm thinking it must be ewcm considering its 2:45 in the afternoon. And I haven't been watching any raunchy daytime tv.

I just found more! I've never had so much before. Must be all the good oils I've been taking. DH and I have already DTD the last three nights ... I'm sure it won't be that hard to press him for one more night. ;)

Tt40 yeah I work in a pathology lab which involves alot of gross talk but never quite get to the point of detailing my lady business with them haha and I wanna become a midwife should probably get over that hurdle
Update- I'm on my 7th day of ewcm! Is this normal? It's not all day, it's in batches of one, two or three throughout the day.
I'm now cd 17 and I've had tightness in my pelvic area every day since cd 15. I thought I had actually ovulated on that day (cd 15) because I was headachy, sluggish and felt a bit sick actually, my sides felt achy and uncomfortable. But more ewcm today so DH and I dtd just in case and my pelvic/uterine area - centre front and across - felt so tight and heavy dtd was actually a bit uncomfortable... Weird hey?! Is three days of cramping normal? You would think I'd know since it took 18 months of TCC DD1 but back then I wasn't paying that much attention, just flying by the seat of my pants!

I never really got ewcm so I couldn't tell you! But one main symptom I would ALWAYS get was really sore nipples just after I had ovulated. Usually lasted for about 4-5 days too.
Mine get sore too actually. They never did pre-DD but I've noticed it in the three cycles since AF returned.
Hmm...So I thought I ovulated yesterday or the day before (cd 15 or 16) as i had the twinges, truckloads of ewcm and a high cervix in days prior. Yesterday no ewcm, just a small amount of creamy watery stuff, cloudy and not much of it. but then this morning a little more ewcm but it was mixed with the cloudy sticky blob stuff- i.e. the stretchy ewcm was mixed with the not stretchy at all non fertile cm. does the mean today is O day or could it be residual ewcm? My pelvic area is still subtly twingy. If I ovulate today then my luteal phase is only 11 days as my post natal cycles seem to have settled with the last two being bang on 28 days. Last month I had the same- lots of ewcm then a day of nothing then on cd 17 a surprise patch of ewcm.
Does anyone want to hazard a guess- later ovulation and a shorter luteal phase or earlier ovulation and renegade ewcm?
I'd go with your original guess of yesterday or day before when you had the most ewcm.
Do you use opks?
No I don't but if I don't get a BFP this month I might try some. The last two months my first thought - so I guess I'd call it instinct- was that I ovulated on or near cd15.
So I did my first opk cycle- stupidly excited at seeing two ones on a stick of any kind! Negative OPKs from CD8-13 then I ran out and didn't test CD14 then bought some more and got a positive around 11:15am CD15 (yesterday) then negative again that same afternoon! So I'm thinking a short surge or it began the previous day when I didn't test perhaps. Ewcm the last three days including heaps this afternoon so looks like my instinct of ovulating around cd16 was pretty spot on. I'm so proud of myself- lol I'm so easily chuffed!
