:bluedust::pink-babydust:
Hi Everyone
I hope everyone is going well...
I've got my FET on Friday, fingers crossed this one's the golden one ;)
Anyone have any tips of things I can do? I was thinking accupuncture but I havn't done it for about a year (did it each week for 3 months hoping it would help be concieve but gave up after that) and I don't have a relationship with one at the moment or know what time I will going in for the transfer till tomorrow, so might be a bit hard to coordinate.
I have pineapple core on the ready and started eating that today in case that will help, plus lots of healthy things, I have the full day off and DS is in kindy so I plan on lounging around.
xx

Hi ladies- I've been MIA... Exercising and quitting smoking in my break from IVF!
Had a saline US last week- no problem.
An appointment with my FS today and a biopsy in her rooms.
I'm ready to start on a FET on CD1.
This time I'm going to have more progesterone after transfer and hepren (so?) or something like that.
Good luck everyone :)
*sorry for stalking*
But that's what I'm doing. Will be stalking you Emma, and hoping for some good news in the very near future as you wish. Hugs chicky and I hope the fs can work things out. And congratulations on your quitting journey so far xx

Hi Juniper, I had a 5dt today! Thanks
Aww, thanks lovely ladies for your kind thoughts. I was touched to read your posts. :grouphug:
Unfortunately, I must disappoint you all. The beta was BFN, as I had been expecting since yesterday's HPTs. I'm doing surprisingly okay, not even any tears so far. I'm having some soft drink (after being 95% good with avoiding sugar the last 5 weeks) and there's a bottle of wine and a pair of Dark & Stormy cans in the fridge with my name on them to "celebrate" the new cycle.
We have a day or two to decide whether to do another IUI this month or have a rest cycle before another IUI in April. Our FS is away the last half of March, but he said he would arrange for another FS to do the required monitoring and IUI if we want to go ahead.
For those of you on supplements for egg quality, particularly DHEA and/or melatonin, would you keep taking them during a rest cycle? The nurse in my Dr's office said to stop them, but if they can help (and not do any harm) then I'd like to keep taking them. What are your thoughts?
Kel, GL with your 2ww! :goodluck:
I'm sorry to hear that Juniper. I will continue to stalk as I know a BFP will arrive sometime.
Sorry about your BFN Juniper :(
Regarding the supplements, how long have you been taking them?
So sorry to hear that Juniper.
N2L, just a month since I started them.
Thanks ladies. Love you gals!
Keep going. They take 4 months to have effect.
Hi ladies
I am back from overseas. It was so good to get away. Time with my husband was great but now we are home reality has set in again that I should be 12 weeks pregnant but instead my bhcg isn't even back to baseline 4 weeks since d&c. I have tried to make appointment with the psych at the clinic but can't get in for just over a fortnight. Grr. I need it now not in another two weeks. Anyway enough about me. Looks like it will be may before we can start thinking about doing another fet - once my body behaves.
Sorry for my rant.
Me4ever - congrats babe! Hope this one stays around for you!
Juniper - I'm so sorry - bfn suck so much :( Sorry I've never had to take supplements.
Ill try catch up on everyone else soon.
Sorry Juniper...... Just nothing I can say. Enjoy your treats. You deserve them!
I'm still waiting round for AF. She's playing games when I need her to show I have a Friends wedding in early April. Is it ok to fly after transfer? Stupid stress!
Im sorry to hear that juniper :( like chody said, I will continue stalking (and have been for awhile ) because I know your bfp will be here soob.
So I might be jumping ahead a little, but when you get a BFP when do they start counting from for how far along you are? Is it from the day of transfer or the first day of your last period?
Day of pickup or ovulation Kel.
So what if it was a medicated FET where pickup or ovulation didn't happen?
How old is the embie?? If it's five days, then ovulation would be counted as five days before transfer. If it is two days, then two days before transfer.
Thanks nothing2lose for answering and explaining that for me!
I just reread your post and I think I misunderstood. If you are talking about gestational age, then it is first day of last period (just like a natural conception), but ovulation (conception) is as I explained.
I am so glad you replied again as i was thinking more about it and was confused but I wasn't confident enough to ask the exact thing you just clarified for me
Haha nice one!! Thanks for the encouragement :)
juniper i'm so sorry xxx
Kel, I'd count back to 5 days before your ET (ie Friday - 1/3/13) and call that O day, then calculate the pg from there (you can find calculators that use O day online). O day is considered to be 2w0d pg, so you would be 2w5d today. An OB will almost always use a LMP (they have this single-minded fixation that everyone has a 28 day cycle, no matter how many of us don't), but I always just said we did IVF so my LMP was irrelevant and my due date is "_ /_ /_". When people argued with me, I gave them an "adjusted LMP" that matched the due date, not the real (irrelevant) LMP. By LMP, you would be 3w4d today, so you can see there is a 6-day discrepancy! If you went to a scan and they used your LMP to date the pg, you'd have them freaking out that you were measuring a week behind when you were actually measuring right on track! That's why I always date by O instead of LMP.
Thanks again ladies.
Hi ladies,
I'm sorry I've been MIA. I have been quietly stalking but sometimes it's just mentally draining dealing with things ATM, so I have kept a low profile. I've had my LO in early intervention since early Feb and it's been full on since then. We are also thinking about sending him to a family daycare instead of normal childcare as there are so many kids in his room now it's a bit overwhelming for him, plus they are reluctant to put him in the 3-5 year old room as his verbal communication is still not up to speed. The thing is, he needs to be with the older kids as in his room there are 17-18 month old children and he's not finding it mentally stimulating. Sorry for the ramble!
We are taking over the shop on the 18 March and I've just realised that I might be looking at an April cycle as we'll have the cash flowing towards the end of March and that will be too late for the March cycle. Honestly, I feel so deflated about doing a cycle ATM. If we didn't go through the money dramas we would have done 2 to 3 cycles by now. I will be 43 in a couple of months. I feel so old and expired in the fertility department :( Really struggling with it all ATM.
Juniper, I'm sorry for your BFN hun :(
I just wanted to wish everyone well in their current cycles.
B xoxox
Thanks Juniper! You are all awesome on here, I should have joined sooner! :)
*hugs* sorry to hear juniper xx
kel fx for you x
Big hug miss B
sorry juniper
:grouphug: for everyone else....
I have finally booked my FS appointment for later this month... I wanted to lose weight prior to starting again, and still plan to try, but I wanted to see what he has to say first.... We are going to Hamilton island for a holiday at Easter for 9 days which we are looking forward to... First family holiday with DSD. But I should have been 39 weeks by then :(
anyway, I am dealing. So much is going on with my parents it's just all weird. I SOOOO hope I get a BFP that sticks this year
It's nice to see some 'old' faces in here :D
I've pretty much given up ttc. But then again, do you ever actually give up?
Thanks myturn  A holiday sounds fantabulous :) I hope that you'll have a great time, I loved Hamilton Island. Fingers and toes crossed for all of us this year :crossfingers: GL with your FS appointment hun! I so wish we could cycle together :)
I guess one day we have to think about it, but I agree, I don't think you stop hoping for a "freebie" :)
I am thinking about cycling in may or June, I want to lose weight to do it, but I dot really think I want to wait either... So I will see what he says about the weight, and weather I really SHOULD do that first.....
I feel like that too n2l. But then again, I gave myself this year only. It it doesn't happen one way or another, so be it. I have to prepare myself to slowly come to terms with it (I have 9 months or so, should be enough time ;))
