Neighbours from hell.

Sooo.... who are your worst ever neighbours and what did they do.
Or mildly annoying and hilarious will do.

I've lived near....
Loud porno man (he was a tad deaf).

Christmas ***** - she liked to wear baubles in her ears and accuse us of taking drugs and running a lesbian brothel. My flattie was into lady loving but we certainly didn't run a brothel despite the red light on our porch (which we got rid of the night some guy knocked on our door because he genuinely thought it was a brothel. I'm not sure who was more embarrassed. Him or us lol.)

Crazy guy upstairs - he had AIDS related dementia and he banged on the walls and floor constantly. We crept round to spy on him to find out what the hell he was up t with the banging but our upstairs neighbour saw us so we ran away without finding out what he was using to bang.

Nona - The elderly Italian woman who went crazy every time we had a visitor who parked in front of her house, walked over her nature strip, did any gardening withing 1 meter of her fence or left the curtains on her side of the house open.

The Mosque - nothing wrong with the Mosque but this guy called Christian the Muslim (he was a convert) kept showing up to prosletyse (apparently the prior tenants had once shown an interest in the deen) and he always stared at my tits while he was talking. Which is more odd in light of the fact that I don't have large breasts.

I have a few, theres 'stampy' and 'barbie gir' both annoying rather than from hell
our current one tho..I was contemplating making a thread about him, but will just talk about him in here.. but I'll come back when not on my phone. easier to go into detail =)

Back in Perth we had the Cat Ladies - They seriously had god knows how many cats and kittens! It was mother and daughter, Mum in her 70's daughter in her 50's.
The daughter was often found out cutting her front grass with scissors, and a trolley full of cat food. The smell from the cats, both living and dead, was atrocious! The weirdest thing was when the daughter knocked on our door one night and asked us to turn our sprinklers off as her mother was in the bath and getting wet :doh:

And here in Melbourne, when we first moved here we rented in Bundoora. A 2 storey house at the end of a cul-de-sac. The neighbours son would often be heard screaming obscenities at his parents and his brother.
So much so that we had to speak to the father and ask him to speak to his son as his constant abuse and screaming would wake Miss H up! He would also come onto our property which had dozens of garden gnomes and straighten them up! We kinda messed with him a lil and would turn them all around with their backs facing the street!
But the scariest thing this guy did? I was giving Miss H nakey time (she was only a year old) in our front room, and I looked up and there was this dood with a GAS mask on, and with a WHIPPER SNIPPER! and he proceeded to whipper snip our lawns :O

It freaked the ever loving crap out of me! I closed all the blinds and called the cops! Who, of course, knew exactly who it was! Suffice is to say, we moved out of that rental pretty darn quick!

There was the teenage neighbour who thought dunking their cat in sump oil would be the best solution for ridding it of stick fast fleas.
The neighbour who said she would have offered her (70+ year old) hubbys 'services' to give me a baby had he not been 'fixed' - seriously, not making that up.
The neighbour who loudly talks to his cats (lives across the road from me), which sounds pretty normal - except, he speaks in 'cat' to them.
Same neighbour wears a highvis vest when he goes walking and reads a novel while he walks - recently fell off his roof (someone joked perhaps he was reading a book while up there) and he broke something (arm in sling). This required his wife to mow several times recently - on the ride on mower, with him running after her screaming instructions. For several hours. It was entertaining the first time - but not the next 2. I seriously would have reversed over him!
Neighbour from a few doors down who knocked on my door after dark in winter (me in pjs) to inform me I am mowing my grass too short and that is why it is dead. Uh, it was dead because we were in the middle of a drought and I was not wasting water on lawn! I might point out that his yard normally looks like you need a machete to get to the front door.

None of them are particularly 'neighbours from hell' however they are a tad weird. I wonder what they think/thought of me?

Once my DH (then boyfriend) and his mate were outside the front door of my apartment (back in my student days) and another resident approached and announced she "needed her rent money and would do anything for $50"...

We have some neighbour(s) that has decided one corner of our front yard is the recycling bin. There are NEATLY tied up bags of empty bottles there. Have no idea who's hiding their drinking habit from the fam. But the recycling bin goes out forthrightly and most on the street are half empty. Not sure why our yard is supposed to be the best spot. :slap head:

We lived in a unit on the 6th floor and the old duck upstairs would randomly and regularly move her piano across the floor at 3 and 4am and proceed to play it and sing along.

Our old next door neighbours here were the loveliest people....except for their obsession with the weather. We live in the desert. On a hill. In the wet last year dad (who works for BOM) was convinced that there would be flooding. I spent a weekend highly entertained by the ant like activity out the front as they filled and placed sandbags.
Then in the fire season (like 9 months of the year) I heard what sounded like rain and I looked outside. It was them hosing our roof - with their own personal fire trailer that they had filled with the pool water from their rental. lol The owners are friends with ours and nearly had kittens as renters don't pay for water here, even though it is hideously expensive. They were protecting us from fire (there was a large blaze a few kms away). Two days later the mountain in front of our house went up, and they came and knocked on my door afterwards and wondered when that had happened....they had been home the whole time.

Then there were our previous neighbours across the road. Supplying drugs. Until they realised that a copper lived here and lots of cops visited, and all of a sudden all the visitors stopped and they went out. A lot.

so the mild annoying ones..."stampy" use to live in the flat above us in Canberra, basically it sounded like elephants everytime she walked. don't know if it was just the floor/our ceiling echoed or what, but yea, she was a small girl too, like size 8.
"barbie girl" or "mr golden sun"...when I lived in Sydney, we lived in a 3 bed house, which had a 2 bed granny flat attached to it, in the grannyflat was a single mum and her daughter, about 3/4 year old. well EVERY morning, at 630 on the dot, either Aqua's Barbie girl, or 'mr golden sun' (a kids song...dont know where it was from, but I know it word for word =P) would play. ON REPEAT, until they left the house, which would range between 8am and 10am.

now the serious one, is the guy who lives across the road from us now... we moved in 2 years ago, and when we first moved in a our neighbour next door (lovely lady who pops around for a chat every couple of days), warned us about him. a friendly warning, basically just gave me a run down on who else was on the street, but this guy is mentally handicapped. he is old, frail and walks with a stick. and she said, just watch him, don't let him on your property, you won't get rid of him. since then, we have a had a couple of other people mention him, all bad stuff. well since we had Spock, more people have warned us about him, or given examples of their first warnings. I know its all hear say stuff, but when you hear this type of stuff from multiple people, who are all part of different social circles (my retired neighbour, a girl DH works with (got married last week), and a middle aged mum from my playgroup, to name a few), you start to pay attention. Basically he likes girls. young girls. he likes to watch them, and follow them. He goes for a lot of drives during the day, where he will only be out for 10 mins at a time, but can go for a dozen of these drives. and if you look at the time when he goes....its before school, after school, lunch time, recess time, the time the bus picks kids up, and the time it drops them off... apparenly the cops know about him, but cant do anything about him because he hasn't actually done anything (or been accused/caught). he just watches...
now the most i have ever had to do with him, is if i am out the front at the same time he is, and i happen to look up at him at the time he is looking over, he waves and i wave. maybe half a dozen times in the 2 years.
what made me think about starting a thread about him (i havent, as this one popped up). was one day i heard DH outside talking to someone, when he came back inside he had a massive stuffed bunny. it was from the guy, for Spock. he bought her a pressie!!! I said to DH, 'can we just throw it out?' he said 'I was going to ask you the same thing.
scary stuff...

on a plus note, he is also a horder, so anything I stick on my curb (eg..old tables, my old vacuum, a broken pram), he takes =), so free rubbish collection =)

We had a crazy scary neighbour. We have no off street parking so all on street parking but generally can get near own house. A hot summer I came home from a night shift and parked my car out front of neighbours house, came in had a short sleep couldnt really sleep so DH (who was DF at time) and I went to movies as was hot and when we came home there was a note on my car saying "park in front of your own house you inconsiderate (word removed by moderator). He was standing on his front porch in boxers with a spary water bottle fanning himself (this short weeedy looking guy) DH approached him and asked did he write note (DH is just over 6ft and is solid) and this guy said so what if I did and went to charge at DH who quickly said I wouldnt do that if I was you!.

He gave me the creaps as would be standing looking out front all the time.

He had a skanky ugly cat that he accused the gay couple from over the back fences Labradors of attacking and harming 1 day as they were walked past! These labs were both over weigh old and on multiple medications and could barely walk let alone jump his short front fence (and were always walked on leads) He tryed to get them charged including making up stories about them trying to crack onto him etc, and had ACA etc contact them and a story made out of it, which turned around to him looking stupid once cameras showed the dogs! He was fighting to get dogs put down.

Skip on a few months and SIL was living with us and her then DP parked out front of his house and went out in morning to discover his car covered in rubbish.

Thank god he moved out and we got some students who live there 1 who is the son of the owners.

My worst neighbours were in a block of four units - I was bottom right, they were top left, so thankfully as far away as possible! Though we did all have doors leading to the centre stairwell. They were small 2 bed units, but they had a couple and their small child (maybe one year old) there, his brother and his mum, plus regular visitors.

They were into drugs and always very noisy but one night had us barracading the doors. It started at about 11, and there was a lot of screaming from all living there, a lot of death threats. Suddenly we heard doors bursting open, running down the stairs, the young mum started screaming so loudly. Thankfully the police weren't far away, but apparently the dad had stabbed his brother and was threatening everyone else. Not a good night for sleeping! There was still blood in the stairwell and on the concrete outside the next day. Thankfully they were evicted very soon after!

When I was younger and still lived at home 2 gentlemen moved in across the road with one of their mums. One was in his late 40's and his partner was in his 60's. (was the 60yr olds mum). Anyways at first they were ok then the younger guy got really weird

Obviously being back in the early 90's being an openly gay couple living together was a big oooooh deal. He thought everyone was out to get them. No one cared. Anyways. He used to bring all his bedroom furniture downstairs and set it up in he driveway. I mean everything. Wardrobes side tables lamps and bed. And sleep there the night and take it all back up the next morning. He once threatened my mum with a machete (lol). Funny now but was a little scary at the time.

Now onto my current neighbours. They are fine but their crazy mother who thankfully hasn't lived here for a few years. Wow what an oddball

First off she used to come over all the time from 3pm till sometimes as late as 10. Her 3 children were 4,6 and 7. They would be sitting at home waiting for dinner while I fed and bathed my two Then when ds2 was a few months old she was telling me about how she had lost a baby close to her due date and in the same sentence while holding my son she said I could walk out of here right now with him. You could just have another baby to replace him. Oh boy was I scared after that. It wasn't meant as a joke. I never allowed her over after that. Even cried to dh that I wanted to move

One ay for some unknown reason when I was walking to the school to pick up my son (her youngest and my eldest are the same age and are still friends today) she called me a b****. Oh there is so much more from this crazy lady

I am just so glad she finally took off and the dad finally got full custody of his three kids. Sadly one passed in a car accident in 2011. The funeral was wow. She was going all crazy for her remaining children who wanted nothing to do with her. (Bear in mind she hadn't seen them for nearly 2 years at this stage and she had put the funeral on hold as she didn't want him cremated and made it all stop until the matter was resolved). Off topic there but you can see she is a little kooky

sex-phone man: reallllly old dude in y-fronts in the apartment block opposite ours used to call up sex-lines late at night and being brisbane on summer nights i used to have my window open (curtains close thankgoodness!) and he used to have his sliding door open and all i could hear on many many nights was: 'oh yeahh?' 'oohhhh yeaaaaahh?" "uh huuuuhh" "oohhhhh". Like in proper dirty old man voice. he was incredibly hairy. My bestie and I once copped a full view as we crawled home after a party one night.

Crazy "C": this chick here in melbourne, man. we lived in a terrace that shared a wall. this girl was MEGA full on. she would sing her little heart out and really really believed that she was awesome...maybe she was...but with a daily start time of 3am it was a *tad* excessive. She would also have very exuberant love-making. thankfully her room was running alongside the other wall and so we only heard it all when her door was open. but our other poor neighbour on the otherside who was/is an insomniac really truly suffered through the sessions. and one night at 1am knocked on their door and begged them to please keep having fun, but please please please keep it a bit more quiet :lol:

The Nudists: self explanatory really. nude in their house ALL THE TIME.

The Opera Singer: we lived next door to an opera singer. I used to think that she practised in the loo for the acoustics. but then one day i heard the flush and realised that her singing actually accompanied her bowel movements.

When we first moved to Melb, we got an 3 story flat. Quite good old lady next door, well she has sold the place and sold it to a well known charity, who turned it in to a half way house for troubled young men. It was meant to be accommodation whilst they were on the waiting list for a Housing Commission house.

The first guy to move in had his parents turn up with house warming presents (so pretty obvious he had been telling some porkies about needing a home). The local 13yo girls would turn up, to get stoned and do what knows else. He would have loud parties, mates would turn up with dogs with spiked collars. Very scary stuff. He would threaten the old lady down stairs. When she would put washing on, he would rush down, unload her machine and put his washing in (they were coin operated).
We would call the charity and were told to put up with it, as we were more privileged (what a joke, we were living on nothing, would often only have a few dollars to feed ourselves at that time).
DH got sick of the guy abusing the old lady, so dangled him over the balcony by his throat.
Finally one night, there was smoke. DH checked it was coming from their flat. They were on the balcony with all their stuff, including the bong, but had not called 000 :wall: Then of course the charity refused to clean the smoke damage from our property.
Turned out for the best, as it was vacant for ages.
Then they put in a troubled young woman, who would scream and head butt the walls. Very distressing to hear, but she was no danger to anyone around her.

Ooh, almost forgot about the family on the bottom floor. Separated couple, kids in foster care. He was dodgy, she was an alcoholic. It still remember her sitting on my couch telling me her life story which finished off with "and I've got no teeth"
She would follow us up the stairs when we got home. She would buzz on the intercom asking for us to let her in the security door as she had no keys. Pointless really, as how would she get into her flat with no keys. She would also run around the car park at night lifting her dress and flashing.
It was hard though, as sometimes we would hear him beating her late at night. Finally she found another man, moved out, drank more and died. Her ex then had a busker lady in a wheel chair hanging around a lot, so for some reason they meant keep the security door propped open. It was all very strange and messed up.

My worst ever neighbours were pretty bad. They were always fighting and carrying on but one day during a cyclone it got worse than normal (we called the police) and as there was no power we could hear it clear as day and it turned out we were listening to a murder. The same house was cleansed and some family members moved in a few months later which would only have electricity on every couple of months so when they did it was loud music all night then it would get cut off again so they would live in the front yard (yes literally sleep out there and all.) There used to be rubbish everywhere (the average temp was 46 so you can imagine the smell) and they would light fires in the middle of a total fire ban but everytime we called to complain we were told they couldn't do anything cuz of there ethnicity. The worst part was during a different cyclone the adjoining fence blew down and due to the amount of damage the town sustained it took months to fix so we were forever cleaning up their rubbish and trying to help the 50 flea ridden non fed dogs they had. On a positive note though they were scared of DH so they never broke into our house like they did the others in the street (they tried the car once but that was it)

Needless to say I was relieved when we moved.

I know it's a tragic story but the teeth comment made me laugh so hard. I'm going to hell.

The most exciting neighbour I have ever had was when I moved into a flat on my own and there was an old woman who lived in the flat next to me. For the first week she would trim the little patch of grass outside of my front door with scissors and then I forgot to put my bin out and she had done it for me and was very chatty. But then by the weekend and DH (then only my boyfriend) stayed the weekend and I suddenly became a hussy who let a man sleep overnight who wasn't worth putting the bin out for LOL. She even stopped butting my little patch of grass and I never spoke a single word to her again for the rest of the time I lived there LOL. Oh and there were the people across the road who would let their under-school aged kids play outside at night till nearly midnight, but they weren't hellish as much as it was just sad. Poor little kids. Even in winter they would be outside but they seemed to enjoy it because they always sounded like they were having fun and laughing all the time.

The Tennis boys - one time they came up around the back of our place to collect their tennis balls (unannounced, unasked) when I happened to be naked in my lounge. They started hitting balls over on a regular basis after that. We put curtains up.

The Conductor - a simple man who lived next door to us in a duplex and who worked s a train conductor. Quite harmless, but played carnival music really loud on occasion. Thankfully it wasn't often, and he never once complained to us about our frequent loud parties so we never complained about his carnival music.

The ***** - a crazy ***** who lives three doors up who was so annoyed about our dogs barking at night (not often, not much) decided that every bark audible was our dogs, reported us to the local council (we responded in detail to the [mostly false] allegations and never heard another word from them), and when the council took no action, came and stole our dogs out of our yard, then called the local ranger and said that they'd been running loose and got them impounded. Cost us $1,400 all up to get them back, which we really couldn't afford at the time.

The current neighbours who showed up on our doorstep within a week of us moving in to ask us to be quiet because their daughter was sleeping. Fast forward 3 years and they have at least one party a week right next to DD's bedroom and them have the nerve to tell us they can hear her crying at night. Um, yeah, cos you wake her up. They've got a siren they set off for fun too. Awesome sauce

The lonely, creepy old man across the road who was always on at me to go and do my washing at his place, or borrow his kitchen to cook in. He reversed his car with a tow ball into then DP's car and put a huge hole in it. Then I came home from work one day to find my street and house cordoned off by the police. He'd been bludgeoned to death, they think by a woman he'd picked up somewhere after making inappropriate advances. I still get shivers when I think about it

The creepy old man across the road, who left a note in my letter box offering his "services" if I ever felt lonely after my ExH moved out. I used to catch him watching the house from his front window & he somehow got my number & would call - I reported him to the police. He still lives there with his wife & daughter.

Our lovely next door neighbour who lost his wife to cancer and sings to her the same thing over & over everyday.....starting at 5.30-6.00am

The young guys over the back fence who moved into their grandmothers house because shes gone into a home and use it as a party place every weekend......just wish if they have to play music that loud, they had decent taste!!

the annoying lonely old man next door who cannot seem to understand we need to go/leave/havestuff to do ... or even good 'ole "P.O" !

We saw a head on smash 12 months ago - he came around and told us about the crashes he'd seen. a person we both know lost a friend to drowning - it was not even 24hrs later and he was baging out the guy and what he should have done... i had a bad crash he told me i was "ok as you[ i ] walked away" Ohh and he calls his cats. loudly between 6pm (not too bad and 2am (i threw stones from the drive way at the fence for that) hes lonely and blardy annoying. people dont see him because its about HIM and HIS storys...the same 10 over and over and over and over and over again (we've been here two years...)

Binocular Man - I lived at the back villa, he lived at the front and was always home so I could never come or go without him jumping out the door for something. For my birthday he gave me binoculars and told me I was his best friend. He then started buying food to give to me and I would refuse it and he'd follow me to my door really sternly saying take it. A few times he threw it in the door after me! I had too much rubbish for my bin one day so I thought I'd put it in his bin. He told me off and said I was no longer his best friend lol I actually ended up complaining to the land lord and they didn't renew his lease. I did feel bad but he was pretty creepy.

The Naked Druggie - lived across the road - used to party all the time in his unit which we were opposite and often out on his balcony. One afternoon he had a mate round and they were off their heads, yelling loudly, partying, snorting, then all of a sudden they were both naked and throwing the pebbles off their balcony at passers by, then noticed me on phone calling police so were pegging them across the road. As police turned up they were throwing plastic bags off the balcony (right to waiting police lol) and got taken away. Two days later a guy was downstairs at the intercom getting no answer and went ballistic yelling up to the 7th floor 'give me back my drugs etc etc' needless to say the Naked Druggie moved quite swiftly.

The Neighbours from Hell - the others have been a walk in the park compared to the house beside us now. Always fighting and yelling and screaming. Always drinking. Loud music, their shed coughs a lot and they seem to move roof tiles a lot too hmmmm never mow their lawn and rubbish everywhere. Have called their landlords and the police a few times in 4 years, worst one was when I thought one guy was going to kill another and come through the fence to our place in the process. They have quietened down a bit since then. And we have sold our house yay so only about 2 more weeks of living next to them. I feel bad for the buyers of our house, but hey we had to sell and they happened to buy it.

Let's hope our new neighbourhood is reasonably normal. I don't want completely normal though as that would be rather boring :)

Mine are more funny than scary I guess, so not so bad really.

I was 19 and living on my own in a one bedroom flat on the first floor of an apartment block. Upstairs to the left was the hooker, to the left the local drug peddler. So all kinds of interesting people coming and going at all hours of the day and night.

Directly above me though, was a guy who liked to pee at 2.35am on the dot. Every night. Stupid loud plumbing!

We have a unit attached to our house which we rent out. We had a lady in it who was horrible.

She would tell my kids, who were 10, 8 and 5 at the time, to shut our effin dog up. Every time she heard a dog bark she would open her front door and yell 'SHUT UP <insert dog's name>' then slam the door loudly. This happened at any time of the day or night. Most of the time our dog was inside with us not making a sound.

The unit and house share the same tv antenna, which is on the unit. We live in a rural area, we need an amplifier on it which is run by electricity, she decided she wasn't going to pay for it. We had a massive war over electricity, she rang my electricity company pretending to be me!

We had issues with the permits for the building, we had to tell her because the council wanted to look over the place so needed her permission. She had a huge meltdown over it, rang the council every day and harassed me every time she saw me. She would cry and have tantrums over it, claiming I was making her feel insecure when she was already insecure because she was abused as a child. It was horrible! The council found the plans so it was all resolved pretty quickly but we used it as an excuse to evict her anyway. She now harasses people in our Freecycle group. :rolleyes:

Maybe I should send a transcript of this thread to my neighbours so they can see they haven't got neighbors from hell after all :-)

Mostly lucky here, we had same issue with plumbing in flat in Spain could hear every time they used the loo. Some minor issues when had foreign exchange students living unaccompanied downstairs with bins and screaming - but really not many neighbors from hell (current ones more annoying than from hell) far more stories about flat mates from hell.

I refuse to speak about my other psycho neighbour, she's not worth the effort.

I lived in the rear unit of a block of three and my carport was against a fence. There was another block of units next door and the loungeroom window was about a metre from the fence and my carport. My kitchen window was on the other side of the carport and I'd have guessed there was about 3 metres between our two units.
The guy that lived in that unit was a raving alcoholic and would be ranting about something. Most often it was the news and his favourite topic was politicians. I was often treated to open curtain displays when I came home from work at midnight and I can tell you that his unit could have starred in an episode of hoarders :sick:

Anyhoo one morning I was heading off to tafe he was ranting and pacing along the footpath while swinging a stick in the air. He was locked out of his unit. The window was open about 3 inches but because he had put a bit of dowel in the sliding window track as burglar proofing I assume, he couldn't get in and was trying to move it with the stick. He wasn't getting anywhere so would stop and beat the window with the stick for a while...then pace and rant for a bit before trying again.
This was all happening right next to my car and there was no way I was going out there so I decided I was being late for class and watched the show from the kitchen for a while. I did debate whether or not I should help him (or just enjoy a day of soap operas) but someone else beat me to it and the cops turned up. They chatted for a while and when they moved to the front of their building I seized the moment to leave ;)

Our lease was up not long after that and we decided to move. Not because of him exclusively but it was a factor in our decision ;)


And I guess I'm going to be the only one to admit to probably being someones neighbour from hell!
With our house full of feral squealing and fighting children...
Electric guitar playing, car restoring, rev head husband and all his rev head mates working on each others cars in the driveway...
Metallica played very loud when I do the housework so I can hear it over the vacuum cleaner...

I did debate whether or not I should help him (or just enjoy a day of soap operas) but someone else beat me to it and the cops turned up. They chatted for a while and when they moved to the front of their building I seized the moment to leave ;)

Our lease was up not long after that and we decided to move. Not because of him exclusively but it was a factor in our decision ;)


And I guess I'm going to be the only one to admit to probably being someones neighbour from hell!
With our house full of feral squealing and fighting children...
Electric guitar playing, car restoring, rev head husband and all his rev head mates working on each others cars in the driveway...
Metallica played very loud when I do the housework so I can hear it over the vacuum cleaner...
I bet our old neighbours must really miss us :lol:

We've been pretty lucky with our neighbours. The only stand out was hat lady! She had a million hats and every time she saw us come out of our house she would run over and ask if we liked the hat she was wearing. Then she'd go into detail about her latest hat purchase and every time she would ask us if we wanted to go over and see her hat room. Um, NO!!!!!!!!!!! She was quite funny but got annoying if you were in a hurry and just wanted to leave lol! Luckily she was in a rental and they sold the house so she had to leave.

Singapore man - We had a family move in next us just after I had Isla. Nice wholesome Christian church goers. At first the guy seemed harmless enough. Would go on about how he was a born again & would get us along to church eventually. Would chat over the back fence when I was out with the kids. The back fence was about a meter or so high. He once offered to buy our dog & also started feeding her all the time. I had asked him not too as she has allergies & can't tell if she isn't eating because she is sick or because he had already fed her earlier. I ended up having to move her food bowl etc into the laundry after he jumped the fence to get it. Ended up getting DH to tell him to stop feeding her after he jumped the fence.
Same guy became rather sleezy & would chat to me & tell me about how he told his wife that he copped an eye full down my top when I lent over to pick up one of the kids.. I was like "oooooK.. I have to go inside now...." He also would tell me about his trips to Singapore to meet up with ladies. All sorts of sleezy **** came out of him and he always included his wife in his conversations so I kinda just ignored most of it. Then one day I was chatting with the wife & I asked when he got back from overseas & she looked at me like I was nuts. Turns out as far as she knew he was driving trucks interstate. I went on to tell her all of his stories & not long after she left him.

We had these neighbours that would get into domestics so loud we called the cops a few times. They were migrants and didn't speak much English but at night we heard druken abuse and things being smashed etc. She was pregnant and they had a small child too. We shared a wall (two flats made out of one house type thing)
Turns out it was her getting drunk and abusing him. She even smashed their front windows.
She ended up going into rehab.
He was nice enough but he was always insisting I give my dd hypol the cod liver oil stuff. Claiming it would make her smart and was very important. They were a strange and somewhat sad couple.

Just remembered the kooky son in law from across the road. Was sitting in my hammock in my back yard (which is across from them as I'm on a corner) reading and looked up and he's standing on my footpath staring in my direction. Wasn't sure if he was looking at me or what - the phone rang so had excuse to run inside then decided to take my dog for a walk about 15 mins later. Go around corner and he's around there with their dog (who is the same type as mine and they got it after mine and named it after mine not weird at all) I crossed over and passed him on other side said hello. Went to mail box a few blocks away and came back, he's about 10 mts further along - went into my work which is in same area to water plants as we were on holidays. Go through building into back yard. 10 mins later walked around side to check on something and there he is standing in the carpark right up at the fence!! Creeped me out totally.

I also observed him doing some sort of karate exercises at 10.30pm in their kitchen a couple of times!

Failtown - 7 people sharing a 2 bedroom flat who just did really dumb things. Like run their washing machine without the waste connected, so grey water just spewed out all over the floor and into our place. Or locking themselves out and climbing back in using a swivel chair balanced on a wheelie bin.

Crooning Christian - a very excited believer who sang songs of praise, badly, at the top of his lungs. Oddly, found out later he was a friend of my sister. His flat mate was a student of naturopathy who used tons upon tons of home brand bug spray.

And... The Serial Killers. A housing commission flat stuffed with stuff. Newspapers to the ceiling, and 7 microwaves. Among other things. They had a driveway, and one of the guys was really passionate about it not being blocked. Saw him repeatedly ram a car that parked there once, and another time, our friend chained his bike to a tree next to it, and he must have gone out of his way to mangle it. Police regularly turned up there.
