C-section repair
Hi all, I'm looking for any info on uterus repair along the c-section scar.
Process, recovery and chances of pregnancy are top of my list, but really anything is great. Very anxious and feeling quite alone. Dr Google is scary too.
I guess I'm worried about the damage that has been done and whether I should begin to think about stopping ttc all together? Scary thought.

I'm sorry I can't offer any advice, I hope you find the answer to your questions and wish you the best *big hugs*

C-section repair
Thanks Danielle. Looks like noone has had experience???
-
I don't really understand what you are asking - have you had a uterine tear along your scar or something? I haven't responded before because I wasn't quite sure what you meant.
-
C-section repair
Yes I believe it's a tear along the c-section scar. Just looking for any other experiences with this.
-
Oh OK. I haven't heard of many tears occurring unless you are already pregnant or in labour. Have you already had it repaired?
-
I've had a repair. Only discovered on delivery though. I carried a baby for some weeks before it was located. It was repaired at the time of my second section and I've since had another pregnancy with no trouble. I'll always be high risk, but at least there were no holes this time lol.

C-section repair
My c-section was 17 months ago and it was found in an ultrasound around 1 month ago. I am not pregnant.
Interesting...... Maybe it did not heal? I am wondering about this more and more everyday.
Dr Google also assumed I was pregnant when I was trying to find more information.
-
I've honestly never heard of a scar not healing - I had just under 16 months between my second csection and my vba2c.
Were you bleeding or something to call attention to it? I've never heard of this so its quite interesting to me LOL

C-section repair
I was beginning ivf again. The ultrasound just before embryo transfer showed an opening/ bulge. Still investigating it now.

Oh really! Wow. Learn something new every day!
Sorry I can't help, but thanks for teaching me something I didn't know

C-section repair
I'm worried about this too. It's actually more common than not. I've had problems with my scar for the past 3 years (my vbac was 7 years ago) I get pain in the area as well as pain internally etc near the area. I had a friend that to have a repair 10 years post CS. With no complications at birth or for years. My CS was 11 years ago.

How was your friend after the repair Rouge?
-
Rouge - Iv got problems from adhesions not from a csection and it is possible to get problems years later...mine was 18 years after surgery and 2 years after my appendix Its like im being ripped and pulled constantly. I hope you both find answers x

C-section repair
Thanks Footsteps.
Williever from what she explained it was similar but less painful than a CS. Very similar though. She had to be recut (and my understanding this isn't always the case), as hers was severe.
-
I have no personal experience with this williever. But is it like a 'uterine window'? As in a weak or thin area of the uterus? If that's the case I have some online friends with experience in that area (including subsequent births!) and would be happy to ask them any questions you like. I'm sorry you're having to go through this and hope you get some answers soon and another little bundle when the times right

C-section repair
Rouge- ugh. How awful she had to go through that again!
I have my ultrasound with the repair specialist tomorrow so I will no doubt know lots more then.
Uterine window? Maybe? Good to hear there have been pregnancies afterwards, but I can get back to you tomorrow.
I am full of dread. It's amazing how quickly things can just spiral. Health wise and mentally.
Ultrasound today showed a little bulge so fingers crossed its something that can be fixed without being cut:-(
Thanks ladies x
Rouge- I am also concerned about adhesions.......... I guess they only know about that during an op?
Wine anyone?????? Oh it's only lunch time!
-
I hope your appt goes well and it's easily repairable!
-
C-section repair

C-section repair
So today's BT shows O. US is tomorrow and nurse says transfer is set for Tuesday. It sad to think about the transfer day knowing there won't actually be one.
Wish she hadn't mentioned that, but she's not to know.
Specialist will still be at US.
Tired and thankful the 530 alarm is no more;-)
So onwards and upwards from
Tomorrow?!
-
So will you get the results straight away huni? Hope you get some answers soon x

C-section repair
I'm hoping he'll talk us through it a bit. Maybe I should be thinking about not knowing anything more so that I'm not disappointed.

C-section repair
There is no hole! There is no need for an op. there is a small defect in the c-section scar. Nothing that would affect pregnancy. There is no fluid. Nothing!
What an utter relief!
Plus we can continue an FET! ET on Tuesday! I am relieved, excited and full of dread.
Thanks for the love ladies. I was having such a tough time.
Xx
