Hmm I think I agree with your hubby and son!
Piper Winter :)
Mm, I like Piper Winter too. Winter Piper sounds like a job description to me.
bahahaha @ TeniBear.
I prefer Piper Winter too
I like Winter over Piper - I don't mind Winter Piper because most of time don't say two names together so I am not that fussed on how they sound together. For me is the initials more - so I also like WP over PW (surname comes into play there though)
Just winter with no piper not a real fan of that name
Agree with everyone else :)
Piper winter ( but we have a piper Courtney so my choice is bias)
i like Piper & Winter, but not really together. sorry :/
If I had to choose I'd have to say Piper Winter.
Depends on the surname
I couldn't use Winter with my surname but I could use Piper.
Winter Piper doesn't flow as well so maybe pick another middle name if you love winter?
Piper Winter goes better
Hmmmmm.....
Piper was the original name that we all loved and she was defs going to be called Piper.
Then my husband threw in "What about Winter?" and now I can't get it out of my head and he doesn't like it that much as a first name now.
I see what you all mean now about Winter Piper and now I am starting to not like it that much myself and seriously considering a different middle name now either way we go.
They boys are set on Piper and I am set on Winter. GAH! It's so hard. With our son we just both decided and that was that.
I love the name Winter, it's different but not too out there. But I have to agree I don't think Piper can be the middle name. Could you put another name after Winter and before Piper? Winter ***** Piper??
Perhaps you just need to wait till she gets here and she will let you know if she is Winter or Piper?
I like both Piper and Winter but not together....too much "errrr" and the "pie" and "win" just don't seem to gel.
Actually, really really loving the name Winter....it just conjures up some pretty images - think snowflakes.
Our last name is one Syllable.
Cass72, me too!! I see a beautiful forrest covered in snow. Love it.
We are really struggling with middle names too.
Husband wanted Daphne (his grandmother) and I just can't process Daphne. Not to mention I don't like his side of the family so don't really want my daughter to be named after any of them. (My son already has my husband's brother's name in his middle name)
I was just at the shops and thought about "Grace" as a middle name. What about that? Winter Grace (the meaning of my first name is Grace)

Winter Grace works :)
Love the name Daphne, but can understand the "why" of not wanting to use it. Although Daphne Grace does sound nice....then again, so does Winter Grace and Winter Daphne Grace.....Winter Rose? Winter Belle?
I like Piper Winter :D
I think you could at least consider daphne if its something important to him. After all its his child too and his family. But anyways. I like piper winter. Or winter grace. Winter daphne grace is nice too. Probably like winter grace more. :-).
Piper Winter
or I like the ones Cass said Winter Rose or Winter Belle
I think Winter Grace (your surname) is a perfect fit, really, N - it's gorgeous.
I prefer Winter to Piper. and I don't think the two 'er' sounds work together.
But like others have said they are not often said together.
I like the bargaining chip too - C has DH family name already and Grace is meaningful to you, so why not?
Good luck, I hope this little girl makes her arrival soon, I will be stalking for more of your gorgeous and creative pics :)
You could always do piper winter-grace, I think that works much better than just piper winter.
On that note ... Winter Grace Daphne (surname) - or not into 3 ??
Oh no! Winter Grace was my favourite!
What meanings do your son's names have? Does he have a family name for a middle name?
oh dear, if only naming a baby was a one person job!!! I hope you find something that you both like soon!
Our son has both our brothers first names as his middle names.
I think I will just buy some time....see how he goes. She might be born and look totally like "Winter Grace"
In that case I think Daphne Grace may be a good middle name compromise? Or how about Laurel instead of Daphne? Then both names would be adaptations of the originals.
Then the question is Piper or Winter...?
There is no way I am having Daphne. I just hate the name.
Well....I have some exciting news.....I think he is caving!!!! hehehe I just mentioned it again last night and I didn't realise he didn't know that Grace was the meaning of my first name. He went all soft and mushy!!! hehehe! I think Winter Grace is in the bag!!!!!! YAY!
