What side do you sleep on?
Do you swap sides or stick to the same spot?
I sleep on the left at home, don't know why. Before we moved, I slept on the right. In our caravan, I sleep on the left because it's the easiest side to get out of if the kids wake during the night (right side is against the van wall). We don't swap.
Amuse me! I can't sleep in my bed tonight because it's too hot upstairs so we're sleeping on the couch downstairs and thinking about my comfy bed.
Right and don't really know why but now you have made me think about it I think it is because DH seems to always sleep on left. We just got back from hols and he slept on the left and if I think back. When we go on hols he always end up on the left. Mattresses in the living room for us tonight.
The right side of the bed. We did swap when I was preg so I could be closer to the toilet, and then once baby born was closer to the bassinet.. So swapped for 6 years. Swapped back a few months ago when we got a king sized bed and we had to do away with 1 of the bed side tables, so i needed the bed side table and alarm clock.
Left but that's just because I love to sleep close to a window.
If you are looking at the bed from the foot end, on the right. We never swap. Dh has always been on the left, and I have always been on the right, even when we were single lol
Always closest to the wall. Don't care which side that is. So we only ever swap when the room is different and the wall is on the other side. I feel safer that way. Whenever we are staying in a hotel, I automatically take the "safe side" :lol:. Dh knows and always says: "i guess you're taking THAT side?" Haha :rofl: I'm weird. We'll have to change that once the baby arrives. There's no room on my current side for a bassinet. Le sigh...
Ps: if the walls are the same distance on both sides, I take the side furthest away from the door. You know. So dh gets stabbed first. I'm such a loving wife. Bahaha :rofl: He doesn't seem to mind being my human shield... :hide: i'm awful.
I sleep on the left, DH likes to be closest to the door.
I sleep all over the bed though. I often sleep with my head at the foot of the bed or on DH's side. I'm lucky he's an understanding & patient man! Lol.
If you are looking at the bed from the foot, I sleep on the left. But as another poster said, I sleep furthest from the door and so in a hotel or whatever where I sleep depends on the layout!
I always slept on the right but once DD was born I moved to the left as there was more room for her bassinet on that side. Now she's in her own room I stayed on the left as it was closer to the door for her wakeups. It felt weird at first but I think I might stay there lol
I'm on the right in this house. DH wakes a couple of times a night to go to the toilet, whereas if no kids wake me I sleep through. So he's on the side closest to the toilet which is the left in this house, but was the right in our old house and is the right at the in laws, but the left at parents. It works out well because the opposite side is always the best side for the kids cot.
If tour looking from foot I'm on left. Was like that before we met and has stayed that way. DH is closer to the loo but I can deal with that. Might have to change when I hit 36w lol

Are sides swap depending where we are, but I always take the side that the loo is closest to, except if it's near a window lol
I swap. I usually sleep furthest from the door, but it depends on the room.

I sleep on the right (left side if looking from the foot of the bed) always have and when I was pregnant it worked perfectly as I used to always sleep on my right side which meant my belly was close to the edge - which was essential with the twins as I had PUPPS so used to sleep with my belly uncovered to try and keep it cool and stop the itch.
I now 90% of the night sleep on my right side so face outwards, I can't stand sleeping in towards the middle of the bed or having someone touch me when I'm asleep so being on this side means I can sleep my preferred way and also creep across to the edge if my personal space gets invaded :)
Looking from the foot of the bed, im on the left. Generally because I get up to dd during the night and am the first to wake up/get woken by dd. :lol:

I sleep on the left even though I mostly (sometimes I have a little kidlet sneak in) sleep alone. I totally could spread across the whole bed but I don't. Weird.
Left, always. Once we stayed in a hotel and just crashed into bed after a wedding. It just happened that it was the "wrong" side but we were too tired to move. We ended up having the worst night sleep (well pre-kids lol!) because we kept hitting each other and waking up.
Honestly depends on who is in the bed. When it is only me, I'm in the middle and I starfish.
I'll be in the study with both the boys tonight I think. DH can starfish on his own.
I sleep away from the window, I always think that someone (or zombies) will come through the window. So effectively DH is my human shield for knife wielding window entry. :rofl: When we moved house I swapped sides to be away from the window. Fortunately this means I'm closest to the ensuite - handy for that middle-of-the-night-pee :)
Im always furthest fron the door, so in our room its on the left but will change depending on where we are. I just like the idea of dh being closest to the door in case of intruders etc.. it does mean I have to walk further which can be a pain with getting out to see spock. But still rather my big strong man protecting me
As an extra my grandma use to always sleep on the left of grandfather because it meant she was closest to his heart.
DH picks the side closest to the most likely external exit (external door, then window in that order). So he can get stabbed/eaten by zombies first.
It's the little things that say "I love you."
(I prefer to sleep on the right side, which I currently have, but cede to DH's wishes otherwise.)
I sleep on the right, DP on the left. When we first moved in together it was the opposite way because I wanted to be closer to the ensuite. We switched when we used a different bedroom in that house, and have never switched back. I can't do it.... I just can't sleep on the other side.
Whenever we move/rearrange I always set it up in a way that I have a clear path to whatever I need. Door, Baby, and so on.
We often fight (playfully) over the 'snuggle side' of the bed. If the TV is more on my side of the room then I'm on the snuggle side because he has to spoon me to see the tv. and vice versa. He always ends up on the snuggle side. Somehow. lol
I have slept on the same side for as long as we've shared a bed. Coming up to 18 years. I sleep on the right.
I'm always on the right...not sure why, but I think it's because the left has always been closer to the ensuite and DH gets up for work at 4:30am and I don't want to be woken by the shower. Because the additional 1/2m makes All the difference to the noise level!
We don't have a zombie/intruder proof side because it's the quilt/sheet that protects you from bullets and knives, not what side of the bed you have (and why I MUST always sleep with something pulled right up over me)...Derrr, doesn't everyone know that?!
