Having FET on Tuesday!!!YAY!!!

Going to have the transfer done on Tuesday and I cant wait!!! But I have the flu and I am so hoping it will still stick!! Hoping for a very short 2WW!! Will Keep ya posted!

Cindy I am only having one transferred, but over the last few days, thinking about asking them to put two in. Tho i would be a little worried if they both took!

Ally its a hard decision to make sometimes on weather on not you want to put 1 or 2 back.
Im not sure how many im going to put back, 1 if it reaches the blastocyst stage and im leaning more on putting 2 back for the 3 dayers.

Cindy, mine will be 3day old embryos, and i have heard that they have less chance of working at this stage? I am hoping we have the same success with the fet as we did with the fresh cycle though. Good luck with yours too, keep us posted!!

All Went well today :)

The first Embryo defrosted ok, died back to a 3cell, but by the time it was due to be put in it was back to a 5cell! All is good!!

Fingers crossed now, fly by TWW!!!

I was a bit worried about it dying off a bit (back to 3 cell) I havent heard of this before? It must b strong at least, since it kept growing, Lets just hope it keeps multiplying whilst implanting he he he he!!

Ally, I used to freeze and thaw cells (but not embryos) and the process would kill some cells, but not all, so if you froze 10 cells and 7 survived, then those 7 would multiply and go on and do their thing so you'd have a nice sheet of muscle/skin/eyeball/knee/whatever grown up in the lab. The zygote frozen down may have lost some cells, but that's OK because others lived and can continue dividing. Cell fate/cell mapping doesn't occur until later in humans (so you can lose some cells from a zygote and still get a healthy, perfect baby) so any cell division means that there are some alive cells, so it all sounds great to me! As I said, I have never worked with embryos, but I'd be well chuffed if that had happened to the cells I had frozen and brought back, especially after a two-year-plus freeze.

Hi Cindy! Not going crazy yet LOL! Has only been 4 days, but seems like 10 argghh. Ive been looking for some symptoms or signs that it may have implanted, but dont feel any different. Very tired tho, so I can only hope he he he he!!!
Hows things going with you? Where are you at with the cycle now?

Hi!
Had my egg collection yesterday and they got 11 eggs which was a good number according to my FS. The lab rang me this morning and said that 10 were ok to be used for ICSI and that 8 had fertilised so this was good news. I just hope its not a jinx as the last cycle we had 8 eggs at this stage 2 and they were not very strong so :crossfingers: we are going to blastocyst stage this time so that might increase our chances??? I really don't know...I'm trying to stay positive but there is also a part of me that doesn't want to be too positive:confused:
