Hi Meegm,
This is starting to happen to me too - I am at 28 weeks too! I just think bubs is moving around to get more comfortable. I actually feel more relief when bubs moves, I get quite worried when bubs isn't moving. I am not getting many kicks either, just lge movements........ I am sure it is all fine. I have heard they get fairly active now and then slow down as they run out of room.
Hey meeg,
Jacob was like that most days.... it was pretty exausting at times.... it wasnt until the last few weeks that he slowed it down a smidge.
If you are really concerned and you feel in your self that its not quiet right then go see your doc and get an ultra sound, just to make sure ... might be better than us trying to put your mind at ease :)
Good luck sweet
xoxox
I face a same situation either. My bubba keep moving and kicking all day long. I keep worrying and when i asked some of the forumers and my doctor..they said that i should be worry if the baby stop moving..so just relax..as long as the baby kicking or moving it will just fine..all the best !! ;)
Better it moves during the day rather than at night - I can't sleep cause of the movement. Got to sleep this morning at 7:30 . ..
me to - constantly now. always gurgling away happily in my tum. Hugging my bladder i am sure!
Its funny, only just a few weeks ago i was getting worried cause i wasnt feeling bubs move enough - and now i tell peoples that "he's kicking like a ba$tard!" which, i am obviously very happy about. (not that its a he!).
Thankfully, these kicks and jabs dont hurt yet!
Yep, I'm the same - bubs just doesn't stop moving ALL day long and it's really getting quite exhausting now - I'm 33 wks!! I'm hoping that it starts to slow down a bit, shouldn't it be running out of room by now??? I do love the movement though and as some of the other girls have mentioned, it's really quite reasurring..... but just so exhausting and I hate to say it, but they've been getting quite painful for me over the past couple of weeks!!
Kelly xxx
yeah, i like the re-assuring part. Just weeks ago, i used to hang out for the u/s to know that baby was still ok, and now....just give it few minutes and i get the signals!
It's normal. You may find that your baby will sleep all day in the next day or so.
He is practicing to be a teenager. LOL
alan - funny that you mention that - i just assume that it has perhaps moved, or i worry something wrong, but, its just sleeping is it? Yeah, that would be right - getting ready for a nother week of kicks and jabs!
Can we get them into routine yet?
Yup, Alan is right! I had days around 28 weeks where he just drove me crazy with movements and then would have a quiet couple of days before another few days of rolling, stretching, punching and kicking like crazy :D
My bub used to be up all night and then quiet during the day - then since 28-29 weeks (Im now33!!!) we decided to be up ALL day with mum and are very quiet during the night - hopefully this is a pattern that will stay once bub arrives!! Good luck with it all!
Last night my Blobble started its pattern of doing the Samba at around 11pm, so I played its musical thing (you know those things that play "rock a bye-baby"?) and it quietened down.
Thanks Everyone - sounds good - hes still doing his stuff today - he dosnt seem to like it if i lye on my left side (that is the side hes on ) he sort of tickles me until i change sides...... or when i read a magazine and lean it on my belly he kicks it.... its cute but annoying i cant read properly coz the book keeps jumping ....I have to tell him IM LYING ON THIS SIDE OR IM READING MY BOOK WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT Hehehehe . :)
LOL Meegm!!! GO the assertive mummy!! Am 27wks and it feels like little squirt wears me out from the inside.....even if all I've been doing is sitting on my ever increasing preggy butt!! :cryinglaugh: Altho funnily enough, he/she had a quiet arvo/night which started to concern me....well mind put at ease as gymnastics stared once again bright and early this morning!!!!! (must've worn him/her-self out and needed a snooze!) :p
Actually saw a movie the other night on TV and the woman was pg. She was having a chat with her sister when baby 'kicked' - so she put her hand on her tummy and said, "Now what has mummy told you about kicking when mummy is talking? you wait til mummy has finished talking, thankyou!" When her sister questioned her on bossing around baby before it was even born the woman replied, "It's never to early to learn manners!"
LOL!!!
My bubba doesnt move enough :( but the heartbeat is good and i feel hiccups...even the hiccups have slowed down...not as fast as before....im confused!! Is it lazy? I know bubba is alive, but it's just not very active. Has anyone experienced this? Im 29 weeks pregnant.
CF - I think i saw that too - that sounds familiar - yeah i think my little bundle is abit tired today too he has spurts here and there but its not like yesterday that was crazy.
Renee - my firedn is the same prego as me and she dosnt feel her little girl kicking as much as me ...
Yeah...in the past 4 weeks, bubba has slowed down a lot...quite sluggish and not very responsive, but everytime the obstetrician checks the heartbeat, it's good...so I guess it's just very very lazy, sleepy or unhappy...not sure!! Sometimes I wonder if something is wrong with it and I get upset. I can feel slight movements at times, but not very strong.
he/she could be just more towards your back than your front. - have you spoken to the midwife about it ?
well i have mentioned it to my obstetrician and she checks the heartbeat and all is well and bubba is growing each time I see her. I'll mention it to her again and maybe i can get a scan just to be sure...but i hope everything is ok and not anything to worry about.
Sounds like bubs are running out of room to spin and movements are more rolling jabs than hard kicks!
Hi guys - Bubba is really active this-morning...Ive felt at least 15 movements already and it's only 8.30am.....WEIRD!!! It must be normal for them to have sluggish days/weeks and active days. Now he/she has hiccups....cute!! I bet tomorrow, bubbas movements will slow down again and I'll start stressing myself and my husband out :wall: It's such a relief to feel lots of movement as I know my little bubba is ok :) I know this sounds strange, but Im actually hoping he/she will kick me in the ribs...Im 29 weeks and I havent experienced that yet....I have to be careful what I wish for :D
Just a thought renee78, when your bubba has been quiet, have you been really busy? The only reason I ask is that the times I have felt bubba have really quiet moments is when I have been excessively busy (maybe occasionally over doing it myself....tsk sk, I know!! ) .......that's the only thoughts I have and I don't even know if it's a theory that holds any weight!!!
Anyways, glad to hear littl'n had a gym session for you!! Hehe!! And btw, don't feel bashful in getting yourself checked when ever you want to put your mind at ease. I've said this a few times in other threads but with our first pg, the drs, midwives & ob got to know me reeeeeeeeeeaaaaallllllly well ;) ......but the fact was any fears I had at the time were always put at ease!!! And that was really important for me!! And if it means you get to enjoy your pg journey more, then what ever makes you feel relaxed!!! Because even tho sometimes it doesn't feel like it (especially towards the end!! hehe!) you will be holding your little bubba before you know it and I guess, it's better if you can enjoy your journey as much as you possibly can because suddenly you'lll blink and bubba #1 will be over 2yrs old and you'll be pg again......................:cryinglaugh: (ok so that's just me!!! LOL!!!)
ok, stop woffling charlyfrog.................:p
Yeah..when Im really busy, bubba doesnt move, which is normal, but sometimes when Im relaxed, bubba is quiet too, so then I start to freak out. Then bubba will start moving all of a sudden (like yesterday morning) and Ive had some slight movements today and one big kick and I can feel hiccups....it's weird!! A couple of weeks ago, bubba didnt move a lot at all and my dr checked its heartrate and it was perfect and my fundal height grew another 2cm....so my mind was put at ease. I have a feeling that bubs is going to be a couch potato.
 at couch potato!!! So great to hear that you are feeling more!! :D
That is great renee - glad she is ok..... my little bubs is going to be a handful then - he just dosnt let up sometimes....
renee - i spent the first 19 - 20 weeks thinking i was having a 'good' baby that was going to sleep alot, as every ultrasound i had, bubs was sleeping, and we had to wake it up.
NOW - my god! We have a quiet day here and there, but generally, no stop all day. And i am sure i am consious of it in my sleep as well. Saturday, i swear, it was trying to run away.
It was trying to run away? haha, oh man!!
So basically, I'll either have a psycho bub or a couch potato bub...praying for a healthy couch potato
Think ive got a psycho... LOL
HAHAHA...dont worry, I think Ive created a monster....I stress out 24 x 7. Dont you just love those hormones? I feel like Im about to have a stroke all the time. I just hope I havent created a serial killer...aaaahhhh!
Hahahahhaha ROFL im a bit of a stresser too....
I must be one of the abnormal ones. I hate feeling bub move around, she used to be quiet but now she is moving alot more. I dont like carrying babys and im open about that. The girls are right though, better to worry if bub doesnt move rather than not.
hey im with you Fire Fly - it dont really like being pregnant at all - its not fun its hard and uncomfortable - but hey i guess what choice have we got..
It does get annoying sometimes whne he just dosnt let up.....
Other people can see my stomach move when our alien wiggles and I've got an anterior placenta - imagine what it would look like if I had a posterior one!!!
I do like feeling bubby move except when, like meegm, when munchkin doesn't let up either. He/she kicked soooo hard in the middle of the night last night that it woke me up and I let out a groan because it really hurt!!! Ooof!!!
I think I'm growing a soccer player! And also one if attitude and a tad selfish because any outside pressure from me, DD or DH, there is a huge internal protest until the pressure goes away!!! :D Cheeky monkey!!!
Feathertop - Oh! Imagine the shapes if you did!! Good gracious me!!! :p
havent had anyone else other then me and dh see bubs move from the outside yet. Had Dh's family over yesterday, and bubs wasnt moving, would of been nice if it had. Has a had a quiet week thou.
I like feeling it move, but sometimes, gives me a jolt - must hit a nerve. But, can feel like its just bouncing up and down in there. I wouldnt say i dont enjoy being preg, the biggest part i dont like really is the restrictions on my life - not for partying or anything, just not being as active as i normally am. Dont like some of the pains - irritate me. But, on whole, its not so bad. Maybe like a special job just for me to be doing.
Am completely hearing you M2B!!! :) I love your comment about it being a special job just for you to do....might write that down somewhere coz it's so true!
I think its funny how we all hang out for the BFP, get it, then bubby grows and starts rearranging our insides :D and whilst we love the specialness of being able to grow a little human, it certainly isn't all peaches and cream  but we all know we wouldn't change it for the world!!
Pregnancy is certainly a roller coaster ride isn't it?!?!.....and it certainly feels like someone's built one inside of us sometimes too!!!! :cryinglaugh:
Charlyfrog and M2B, we are due around the same time so we all know what each other is feeling atm. When lying in bed last night i swear the movement would of woken DH. And standing at the checkouts waiting you would think people could see your t-shirt jump out hey! :p its quiet funny when you think about it. Once little miss is out im going to make a point of watching bellys and see if i can see that little person wanting recognition.
Bring on labour i say.
I dont think i enjoy being pg because im not a huge person and i dont like the extra weight to carry around, and im a fairly active person so sitting around is not idea of fun. Plus the punches from inside dont amuse me, it is like there is an alien in there. Lol just look at my U/S pic, i have proof.
Ugh!! Just tried to have a rest and it felt like a riverdance session was going on inside me!! So not helpful for sleeping and oooh! It hurt! I so don't remember this the first time around, maybe 2 or 3 moments of 'ooof' but not continuous 'ooofs' like this pg!!
I too am quite over the sitting thing - but find I get tired so much quicker now. It's quite odd too when you are walking or standing and littl'n still punches like Mike Tyson!!! Not very comfy!!
Just checked out your ticker Fire Fly and saw '83 days'...eeek!! When you put it like that....!!! LOL!!! My EDD is June 21 but I wonder if bubby paid attention when the ob was letting us know.....................hehe!! ;)
I find that i get pains - nothing horrid, just more irritating - when i do stuff. Yesterday, trying to mop....and it starts to hurt. Going shopping on my own is generally ok, but, with DH, difficult, as he like to rush things, and i end up with stitch like pains.
Whats your due date FireFly? I to stuffed to figure it out myself - :)
