Hi everyone

I have had a really rough weekend (should have had D&C Monday but started naturally Saturday, think I lost the little one down the toilet but couldn't bring myself to look as was waiting for Mark to come home from work and was too scared and horrified - feel really cut up bad about how my angel left. ) Spent the weeknd in hospital bleeding and clotting real bad, huge, huge loss, they were worried about my haemoglobin as it dropped by 33% and they faffed about whether to go a D&C in the middle of the night as were worried I needed a blood transfusion. Went down first thing Tuesday (6 am) and am good, had a superb registrar who had loads of time for me and my worries and fears. Not like the UK at all, they tend to talk at you rather than with you (unless you are very lucky). Good news is, nothing conclusive on the 'losing girls' thing and can TTC as soon as feel ready. Basically he was open and honest and said at 42, eggs will be slightly older and some may not be in such good condition but if we want more children, then we must keep trying and be prepared that 25% of all pregnancies end in m/c because something is wrong. Sounds harsh when I read it back but he was so nice. Real good 'bedside manner'.

Anyway, on with April and AF!!!

Bun - unless you know otherwise and this is so unlike her, your 'friend' sounds way out of order :angry: Perhaps (and this is the best case scenario I can think of) she was trying to protect you from how quickly she fell???? (um, not happy about your mum's reaction either - grrrr).

Satya - feel for you so much, keep your chin up, I'm with you!!

Sharon - hope the BDing went well (will take that as a 'yes'!!):dance:

Heybacko- :hugs: to you. You have had a rough time. But it sounds like they looked after you. It is crazy that when they do come out with the stats that a good % of pg do end in M/C. I remember when my doc told me that I didnt really think it would happen to me. But then it did. So I guess we keep positive.

Bun- :hugs: to you too. There will be a shining light at the end of the tunnel for you I am sure of it. I would have the same feelings as you in regards to my friend. Keeping that info from such a good friend is just plain old not on. Hang in there. You have gone through the worst.... it can only get better from here.

As for me, my body is crazy. Today is CD21. Temps are 36.1 and have been for a couple of days. Next month I will definately try temping down stairs. This being my first month of temping... my chart looks like the swiss alps. As a matter of interest last night, I took my temp first orally which was 36.2.... I then temped down stairs and it was 36.8. I will try and work out how I can share my ff chart with you! The funny thing is with all the temp changes, I have no idea of when or if I O this month.

Heybacko - I am so sorry to hear about your rough weekend. Hugs to you and it sounds like you are on the mend already.

Jen - Temping "downstairs" gives you a higher temp. You can add your Feriilty Friend chart to your signature. Go to FF and then go to Sharing, and there should be a link to your chart that you can copy to your BB signature.

Well girls, the worry has started, I had some brownish spotting this morning!!!!! Now I have sharp cramps as well. It could be a number of things: like I am not really pg and my hcg levels are still high from D and C 6 wks ago (although I thought hcg stopped O), the spotting is left over stuff from m/c, or I am pg and it is just a small AF type bleed. I guess only time will tell. I am going to go back to doc next week and I might do another hpt over the weekend.

Jen - I found temping a nightmare, it just didn't work for me! I have since been told that loads of things affect your temp (such as even a small glass of wine - and I have to admit to adoring the NZ Sauv Blanc!!), sleepless or restless night, and stress or worry!!! Now someone tell me how we can get through TTC without the odd glass of wine, sleepless night or worry???:doh:

All my last 4 pregnancies (inc the 2 m/c) I used LH detection sticks, I am not sure what you call them over here but basically they are ovulation dipsticks that pick up the luteinising (sp?) hormone in the wee!! I bought them in tandem with HPTs - bulk!! Need to source southern hemisphere supplies now! They were great and lit up like a christmas tree whenever I was due to 'O'!! Also, they matched up with my mucus really well, a great reassurer!

BekZ - :pray: : I had breakthrough spotting with both my monsters (now aged 2 and 1!!), I think at around 5 weeks pregnant (and with only one of my m/c) so don't panic too much - especially if it is at the time you WOULD have had a period if you're pregnant - I have read and been told by loads of people that spotting is really common in the first 6 weeks (although I know this doesn't help). Try not to get into the obessive wiping phase (says she, having done it EVERY pregnancy:redface:) Not only does it cost loads in toilet paper, it 'does your head in' !!!

Salt - thanks for your kind words, I AM positive today, although floods of tears earlier reading other posts (still a roller-coaster but one I intend to ride out :) )

Hope OZ is warmer than NZ today, I think Autumn is on her way ----oooh, just thought, I will soon be trying to conceive a summer baby!!!!! Both my January babies were born in Winter in UK!!!!

Alex we call LH sticks ovulation prediction kits or OPK's. I started using them when TTC last time and it made life so much easier.

I will try not to let going to the loo and wipping "do my head in". It did last pg and I was such a bundle of stress now I am just thinking what will be will be...I just feel a bit embarrased about announcing my +ve test and now maybe having to withdraw my announcement. Although my BB buddies are the only ppl that I can tell atm.

Oz, Queensland is a bit cooler in the last week or so. Our days are still 28/29 but our nights are coming down to 16/18. I wanted to avoid a summer baby because I blow up like a wharus in the last tri, but now I don't care, that is what aircon is for hey.

BekZ, there is NOTHING to be embarassed about, this is EXACTLY why we are here and why we can talk like this here when we can't to people IRL - they don't get it (not their fault of course!)

When I had Joe (my last) and we were TTC, I tested from the day before I was due (actually maybe the day before the day before I was due :redface:) until the day I came on (told you I bought in bulk!!) - I know I will again, this is just me and how I cope (luckily the website I bought sticks from was cheap and reliable!!)

If I had had this website then, I would have shouted as soon as I saw a +ve, however faint, because I would have known everyone would understand.:D

IF (and it is still an IF) you aren't pregnant, we are still here and you are still TTC :hug: BUT let's wait and see!

BekZ - try not to worry about the spotting (although I know that is easier said than done!), it is probably nothing to worry about, and I reckon that you are def pg and it is not just leftover HCG, as you wouldn't have that much HCG left after this long, and your chart clearly showed O, so you must be pg! I am thinking of you and I sure it will all be ok.

Alex - what a nightmare weekend, you poor thing. The hosp bit really is so traumatic, and it sounds like you had a pretty terrible experience there. I am glad you had a good registrar, and I am with you on the stats - sometimes it sounds so matter of fact, but in a way it is reassuring to know how likely m/c is, and kind of gives you hope that eventually, it has to work out if you just keep trying! I am glad to hear that you are feeling more positive today, that really is a lot to go through.

Jen - temping can be pretty confusing at first. Can you link your chart so we can have a squizz? I think it actually doesn't work for some women, so don't be too worried, but I know it is frustrating.

Leyla & Tinsel - thanks for you kind words. It really is great knowing that I can come here and talk to you girls when no one else understands.

SP - how are you going? I hope you are having a good time away. I reckon I would TTC too if I had to wait for an OB appointment, esp with long cycles. Waiting is the hardest thing when going through this.

Satya - how are you going today?

Well, I am kind of sorting things out with my friend. I ended up telling her how I felt and she has just replied and apologised for not telling me and said that she wanted a pg more for me than for her (she already has 2 girls) and she was hoping I would tell her I was pg and then she could tell me she was too. When my DH told her DH about what had happened with us, she felt she couldn't tell me as she thought she would be rubbing it in my face. She said that she just wants me to not be unhappy anymore and that she will share everything with me for now on . I don't want her to feel she has to tell me things -it is up to her, I am just upset that had lied to me so many times. She could have just not said anything, I knew she was doing a pg test three wks ago, as I gave her some of my tests, and I would never had asked the outcome - it is up to her. But outright lying is different and harder for me to accept. Anyway, she has asked me to come for dinner tonight and I am sure all will be fine. I just wish things didn't have to be so hard. It would so lovely to go through pg together, but I guess yet again it was just not meant to be.

Bun - Glad you have started to make up with your friend. Hope you guys have heaps of laughs tonight.

I have been taking my temp as soon as I wake up every morning. Will try the downstairs temping next month. If it is going to worry me too much I might ease up on the temping so I don't stress too much.

Bun-Glad to hear you have sorted out everything with your friend, although she still did not do the right thing by you in the first place really, but at least it is being sorted out now, this will also help to make you feel a little better as 1 less thing to worry about.
Alex-Sorry to hear about your loss, we are all here for you though & willing to support you. I feel so much better since I have been chatting in here as there is a lot of support from everyone. You can look forward to lots of BDing now and also easter you can rest up a bit.

Jen-I have just started temping today, I am assuming you eventually get used to the FF chart, that is my biggest worry at the moment. I will keep you posted how I go. I am a little concerned about getting the same time each day but I will try my best. It is all very new to me.
I now know why I am not pg when i look at my chart it says I should O on the 10.04, from my own "knowledge" I had worked out I would not O until 13.04. So lucky I joined here & you guys helped me with FF and charting, I have been bding at the wrong times :doh: how dumb am I. I always thought it would be so easy to pg my o my how foolish am I.

Herbie - You crack me up. You better get bdings earlier!!!!! Don't exhaust our DH too much though. The one month you think you'll O on time turns out to be late or some thing.

Jen - Your chart does look a bit up and down. I think you'll find temping "downstairs" better. Or you could just drop temping for a month and us OPK's instead or you could start doing OPK's as well as temping.

Well DP proposed in Bairnsdale we were at a cute little old fashioned hotel we went to tea at the downstairs restuarant and we were all alone until just b4 he was going to ask me another couple came in and chatty me and them got talking and we talked all night until we went to bed so poor guy didnt get a chance to ask me then so up we go to bed and he wants to have a spa i was like NAH sooo tired want to go to bed so hopped into my pj's and hopped into bed i was lying there watching the footy and Andrew opens another beer by now he was a little ****ed been downing the drinks very quickly... bit nervous and i didnt even notice LOL...... anyhoo he cmae over a sat next to me and was looking at me funny i was like WHAT??? And he said well and got down on both knees i was like OMG what are you doing!!!!! LOL...... i said your not?? he said yep i am and i think he said will you marry me and i was like omg omg omg are you for real or drunk LOL.... He said no im for real i asked your dad and everything yesterday i said YES YES YES!!!!!!! and that is that we started to ring family and friends couldnt ring alot as it was late but got onto a few special ones.........

I havnt got a ring yet i have been looking and know what i want think if we dont find it in Melbourne on our way home from holidays we will get it made through a family friend or i know another jeweller so wait and see a soon as i get it ill put my photo site back up and show you all............. oh and we will probably get married late next yr possible Nov so we can have had bubs and i can lose some weight and bubs can be a bit older......

Ok so on o front pretty sure and FF says i Oed last Thursday havtn had many signs other then tired but been walking everywhere and doing heaps..... So ill be testing when we get home ill be 15 dpo on the 13th April my dad's 50th so going to test then as i didnt get a BFP until 15 last time....

OK SO CONGRATS TO THOSE BFP'S cant remember who got them sorry......

Body is giving me some very weird signals...have never 'O'd' naturally, but I was convinced I am (although OPK's say I'm not), but lots of signs, lots of CM and sharp pains on right hand side, so we BD'd and thought we'd see what happens. So many people tell me you can suddenly become fertile after a m/c, it's been just over 2 weeks, so I guess that would put me about mid cycle of a 35-40 day cycle (which is normal). I know it's too late to use FF, but will do another OPK tomorow and just see what it says then. Otherwise...just keep waiting for AF. Had a free 'ask one question' psychic thing and it told me I was too unsettled and had too many unresolved personal issues to conceive between age 33-38, somewhere between 38-42 I would and it would be a girl....not sure I want it to happen in another 5 years from now :(

Alex - what a rough time you've had :( Hoping you are recoving ok and looking after yourself.

Jenjams or anyone - didn't even know you could temp downstairs...do you need a different thermometer???

Bekz - hope the spotting is nothing to worry about, sending you lots of sticky vibes, take it easy!

Sharon19270 - My friends are aware of my ttc struggles, past m/c's and this one, I've even emailed the few that I haven't heard from to tell them exactly what happened and that I'm ok, and ask how their pregnancies are going....that was over a week ago...it's a bit disheartening when I'm trying to put my emotions aside to be interested in them, but not getting anything in return..kwim???

Heybacko - what a traumatic few days you've had. I hope all is well with you now. It's really scary TTC in your 40's isn't it? The odds aren't so great but plenty of women our age have no problems..... here's hoping that's you and I the next time we get lucky.

Bekz - I hope everything is OK with you. We all know how common spotting is early on so hopefully that is all it is.

Jenjams - I've heard that your temp can be affected by things like viruses and headaches as well so it can be difficult to determine O by that alone. I use maybebaby and have found that to be very reliable, but it doesn't pin point it to a day if that's what you are after.

Bun - It must have been really difficult for your friend to announce her pg to you. If the shoe were on the other foot how eager would you have been to announce it to her if she were the one having fertility issues? Good friends are hard to come by just forgive her for her lies and understand that she was trying to protect you by doing so. I've been positive again all day today and have managed to discuss my mc with a workmate without any tears so I'm hoping I'm over the hump.

janeo - great to hear the details of the proposal..... I hope you have many happy years together.

las - ignore the psychic - most of those services are manned by people with no psychic ability at all - they are just a huge money making business for dishonest people.

I think I've O'd already. It's 12 days since mc and I thought I should start using my maybebaby tester to see when I may O. I got strong Fernlike structures on Monday (1st day I tested) and again on Tuesday. Today I was back to spots so it looks like I've O'd. I knew my HCG levels had zero'd out from the blood results I got on Sat so I knew it was possible to O but did't expect it that quick - maybe at about 10 days after mc. Lucky for me we've been busy in the bedroom lately so I'm not concerned that I could have missed a chance.

I'm waiting on hormone tests just in case there is a problem of some kind. I won't get the results of these til the Saturday after Easter due to work commitments and the doc being away over Easter. He thinks I may have PCOS. I was tested years ago for this and was found not to have it, and everything is exactly the same as it was back then so I doubt that it is the case. I guess time will tell.

Jenjams my temping was erratic this month and all over the place but I still had FF pinpoint when I O'd so maybe just persevere for a bit longer and keep BDing in the meantime

(You are a much better person than me, I would still be miffed and still think she was well out of order because she was always going to be caught out with the dates! Jen - good luck with the temping, some people swear by it (I swear AT it myself, I just don't get anything that makes any sense!!)

Alex So sorry to hear about your weekend, I can only imagine how you must have felt sitting on the toilet and pretty much knowing what was there, I would have been too scared to look too. Glad you had a great registrar, my Ob told me about the %'s for M/C but the way I look at it, there may be a 20-25% chance of M/C but then there is also a 75-80% chance of going full term. BDing went very well thanks :p but after getting my coverline yesterday, FF has now taken it away today. Enjoy your time away over easter.
Jen you will find that temping downstairs will give you a slightly higher temp but I found that mine definitely seemed to even out.
BekZ I have everything crossed for you that the bleeding is nothing bad and that it is just breakthrough bleed huge :hug: to you and try not worry too much.

Jane I was the same as Shan and was reading your post at a hundred miles an hour because that was how I imagined your emotions at the time LOL. Glad to see you got your coverline, if mine comes back tomorrow, you are only 2 days ahead of me so we can be cycle buddies :D
Lisa I think that true psycics are very few and far between and wouldn't really take heart to what was said to you. As for your friends avoiding you after you have contacted them must really hurt, some people just don't seem to give a toss about other people's feelings and emotions or it goes into their "too hard" basket because they don't know what to say and how to react, I had a friend who said to me after I had my M/C that "she didn't know what to say except sorry" and I would prefer that rather than someone avoiding me iykwim.
Satya hope you managed to catch the eggie, I have also heard that it is easier for some women to get pg after a m/c. Good luck, how many DPO are you?

I had a really big temperature dip this morning and FF took my coverline away but after putting in a dodgy temp for tomorrow FF will give it back (go figure) even if the temp is LOWER than what is was today, oh well, will come back later for another chat.

Sharon-My cycle is normally exactly 28 days. After my d&c AF arrived 27 days later & since then she arrives either a few days B4 28 days or a few after, I can always tell though cause of AF cramps and also sometimes I get a headache or migraine as I am a migraine sufferer(only since my mum died though). Why do you ask?
Can someone tell me what the FF coverline is please, I know I am not really with it!!!!!!

I have some news I have not shared yet. I am a smoker & I stopped smoking on the Sunday 25tMarch & have not have one since. DH is also a smoker & he stopped the next day to help me out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Struggling a little sometime though. I know it will be better for me & my hopefully soon to be pg.

YAY Sharon i hope so........... HEHE i was in a hurry and thats exactly how i talk all the time............ Im a chatter box hehehe...

Herbie I was asking about your cycle length because I thought in a previous post you said that FF said you where going to o on CD 10 but after re-reading you actually said 10.4 and it was only because I thought that you sounded suprised at FF saying you where going to O on CD 10. As for being a smoker, I used to smoke and smoked all through my 1st pgncy and my son ended up with bad asthma, every winter he would be hospitalised for 3-4 days because he wasn't getting enough oxygen (his lips would turn blue, and still my parents think it was a load of bull***t, but that is another story) My dh told me when we where going to start TTC that I had to give up smoking for a year, it wasn't until I witnessed the birth of my niece that I found the strength, it was hard, and there where times I thought I would take it up again (still do sometimes) but after 11 years I am so happy I was able to quit, and I personally feel that giving up has prevented Jordan from becoming an asthmatic too. So Congratulations on giving, I have faith in you, and if I can go cold turkey, then anyone can because I have absolutely zero willpower LOL
Jane I will be nice to have a cycle buddie, also FF was telling me yesterday that my test date would be Friday 13th so we will both be able to test the same day :D

Hi girls,

Dinner last night with my friend was ok, but a little hard. We had our DHs there, so didn't really talk about things, but it's ok. I don't feel as comfortable talking to her about things now, though. I am still all over the place - one minute I think everything is ok and we will work out what the problem is and have a beautiful baby eventually, and then a minute later I think it is not possible to have a baby after this - it just seems like it can never happen and I am kidding myself thinking that maybe one day it could. Anyway, there is not much I can do - I have made a specialist appointment for 2 weeks time, where I am going to beg him to find out what is going on and stop telling me it is just bad luck and to try again. There is the cycle monitoring which may show a hormonal cause which can be fixed, or it could be a natural killer cell problem or a uterine problem, and we can have tests and treatment for that. Although I know it is most likely just bad luck, but I am really having trouble accepting that atm.

Janeo - I am so happy for you - that is so sweet! He sounds lovely, and it will be great for you to have something else to think about, and what better than a wedding!

Herbie - good on you for stopping smoking!!

Sharon - FF can be so annoying sometimes! I am always putting in example temps to see what would happen and trying to second guess it, etc... I hope it gives you a clear cover line tomorrow.

Sarah - how many DPO are you?

Satya - my dr suspected PCOS too, but I didn't have it. I almost wished that I did as it would be an explanation, and there is treatment, but I def didn't have it. It is good that they are testing for it, anyway.

Las - don't worry about the psychic. That is disappointing about your friends not getting back to you when you have made the effort to get in touch with them. I know that a lot of people don't know what to say, but even acknowledging that and saying they're sorry is better than not saying anything at all. I had the same issues with most of my friends after my first m/c, which is why hardly anyone IRL knows anything about what we have been going through these last few months. Don't worry, you have us and we always have heaps to say!!

jenjams - your chart does look a bit confusing. I know that temping doesn't work for everyone, though. Hopefully you will start to see some pattern soon.

Bekz - how are you going? I saw in another post somewhere else by you something about oestrogen levels and CM. Can too much CM indicate a problem? I get EWCM for 7 days before O which seems an awful lot, and O always seems really delayed. Do you know if this could indicate a problem?

Sharon 19270 - not sure how many days DPO I am as I don't temp but based on the maybe baby I'm thinking possibly 2 or 3. If I don't catch on again in the next few months I may temp but I am just not wanting to go that way if I can avoid it. Years ago I got very obsessive about TTC so I'm trying to keep things as casual as possible in an effort not to get that way again.

Herbie - congrats on giving up smoking. Not only is it good for you but it's good for any future pregnancy - better birth weight and less chance of stillbirth. If the new research is correct you could also be saving your future children from heart disease as adults as well as they think that mothers who smoke while pregnant are far more prone to this.

Bun - try not to be so negative if you can. The power of positive thinking is amazing. Also, just look at the stats - 1 in 3 pgs end in mc. It's not fair that some women have more than their fair share of them but I guess some of us have to make up for those women who never have them at all. Also in this day and age very few women end up with no kids if they go on to have fertility treatment.

I will probably disappear for a few days now for Easter - not going away but my DF & I have his daughter for the weekend and I will be busy busy being step mum and won't get much chance to log on. I hope the Easter Bunny is very generous to all of you.:)

Sharon-Because I have just started doing this I am not very good at it, probably never will be, and have confused everyone. Going on my own estimations I would have thought I would O on cd15. I have since checked my chart on FF & FF is saying cd 12. I would also like to add that because I have no flamin idea at all I thought you could not get pg until you had O I was not aware most fertile was 3 days before :redface: :doh: . I told you all I am hopeless. DH will love it though bding flatout now. Sorry about the confusion on FF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bun-I am pleased you went to dinner lst night & things were ok. You may find for some time things will be hard as your friend has done the wrong thing by you.She should be understanding in that you find it difficult to chat. She should have thought aout this first :hug:

Lisa-About the psychic thing I can tell you some useless information! I ahd a reading the day I went to the Dr to confirm I was pg in Sept last year. I thought this will be interesting. She told me I was very fertile at this time & should use all methods of contraception if I did not want to get pg, however if I did get pg there would be no prob & I would breeze through my 3/4 pgs. After i stopped laughing at the fact of me having any more than 2 children I have now realised she fed me a heap of bull@#$%. By Nov 14 I was in hospital having a d&c, so much for no probs throughout pg. Don't believe all you hear. I still like going to them though, just take it with a grain of salt.

Awesome on giving up the smoking girls. My mum smoked throughout her pregnancy with me. I was born 6 weeks early and I have some eye problems.
I am a bit sceptical with psychics. Do we believe them or not? Hmmmm it is all in the mind power with what we want to believe.

Bun - Sorry to hear that your meeting did not go that well last night. I am sure you'll mend fences soon. At least you are tracking your cycles atm and there maybe some pattern that the FS can identify. I get heaps of EWCM and before I took Vitex it was really thick and rubbery (so TMI). I think I had "hostile cm". Since taking Vitex this has gone and back to what I call normal. When you do your relaxation try and imagine a little baby growing perfectly in your womb, this will help atrract positive energy and it may relax your body. I believe that when we stress our body does not generate enough nutrients and thus we feel stress and pressure even more. It is like a really bad cycle. Sorry to cr!p on.

Herbie - Keep going with the non-smoking. I gave up when I was pg with DD and I have never looked back. My DH gave up at Christmas and he is now 4 months smoke free and he feels heaps better.

I am fine. My temp is still up, but I am not going to test again for a few days. Last I tested all the time and it just stressed me out. I am going to doc next Wednesday but I will probably test before then just to make sure. I really don't feel pg, but I am only 4.2wks.

Best go because DD is demanding my attention. HAPPY EASTER TO EVERYONE. I will try and pop in tonight and I might be able to reply to more posts.

Back again just had dinner and DD off to bed. I'm dpo13 by FF and nothing happening no AF no symptoms no anything will probably test (again) at work tomorrow cause I can get HPT's there for nix and they are the sensitive ones.
Herbie good on you for quitting smoking its very hard to do and takes great strength but then trying to be a mum does too so I know you can get there
On the psychic front I have had two tell me I would have 3 kids and here I am with only 1 so dont believe everything they tell you it is best to just treat it as a bit of fun I think
Back onto night duty tomorrow so probably wont be back for a few days (unless I have something to share)

Herbie technically "some" sperm may survive for UP TO 5 days but realistically I think they generally only live for 2-3 days, but you can't fall pg AFTER ovulation (you would be very lucky if you did), and you will get the hang of it, I didn't have a clue when I started ttc back in August last year, although there are some days when I still don't think I have a clue :lol:

My easter weekend usually consists of lazing around the house doing as little as possible. We are going up the coast on Sunday to see FIL for the day and I think my parents are coming over on Saturday to say hello, and that is it really. So Happy Easter everyone will be back some time over the long weekend to see what's happening in BB land.

I'm new here and have just had my 2nd M/C in 2 months this week. I had decided I didn't want to TTC this month, but DH has convinced me otherwise, so hopefully we'll have a bit more luck this time. I must admit I'm still feeling really down about it all - one M/C I could cope with but 2 has knocked me around more. Life just sucks at the moment!

I'm seeing my GP about it though this week - I'll try and convince her that it should be looked at now and not after I've had a 3rd M/C - I just don't think I could take that!

Anyway, I thought I might be able to get a bit of encouragement here. I'm just going to try and relax about it this month and hopefully everything will go OK.

Can't stay long but just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Easter. Am staying with family for the weekend so probably wont have a chance to post much. Hope that everything is going well for you all.

I am now 17 DPO but still no BFP or AF. Have been getting major AF feelings though so am not holding much hope. Should have arrived today, but maybe tomorrow. Oh well, not much I can do about it I guess!

A big welcome to megsmum - you are not alone in having a 2nd m/c in a row, unfortunately there are a few of us about:( - the girls on BB are incredible, I'm new myself and it really does help having somewhere to talk. I really don't know what I would have done without BB this last week. I had felt quite positive following the D&C, looking forward to TTC, etc, etc but my hormones must have kicked last night and i felt like s**t, very down, very end of the road. Bit better again this morning though so on we go!

Def. go talk to your GP, even if she is reluctant to investigate, she needs to know how much it is affecting you and exactly what you are going through. Talk her ears off if you have to!! If she doesn't listen and you feel let down, think about finding someone who 'gets it' !

Hi everyone, I managed to escape miss 4 for a few minutes to log on here.

Jenjams - whatever you do with your man don't nag him about the BD situation. I was there years ago (on and off over all the years that we tried) and if you bring the subject up it can cause bigger problems on that front. Unfortunately it's one of those things that happens when you are ttc long term. My ex told me once that he felt like he was being treated as a sperm donor. I backed off after that and things got back to normal.

Bekz - glad to hear everything is going OK. Fingers crossed for a positive blood test when you get to the doctor.

Leyla - sorry to hear that it looks like AF is on the way.

Heybacko - I hope today goes much better for you. I have suffered some really overwhelming emotional moments over the last two weeks and I've felt that the only people who seem to understand are women on this site. Our men can support us to a certain extent but they can't know how much the whole experience can affect us.

Welcome to megsmum. I'm sorry to hear of your losses. Maybe it would be a good idea to take a break for a little while. A third m/c could tip you over the edge emotionally. How far along were you when you lost them?

Alex, sorry to hear you were feeling down last night, but I'm glad to hear you are feeling better today. Some days are crappier than others aren't they? I already feel a bit better though now that I have made the decision to go the GP - the other night DH was hassling me out to go and I wouldn't, so he is glad about it too. I know I'm not that old (just turned 37), but I just can't help but feel the clock is ticking a bit for me. I wish we hadn't waited so long to have kids sometimes!

satya, I was almost 5 weeks for both of them. So long enough to be looking forward to another pregnancy :( . I think we'll just see how we go this month - I've got another week before I really have to decide about TTC (its day 5 today)- but I think we will. If we have no luck or heaven forbid another M/C I think a break may be the go then. TTC has just been so much more difficult this time around - when I fell pregnant with DD it was only our 2nd cycle trying and I had absolutely no problems through the pregnancy either. I wish it was like that this time!

Sharon - Your friend said the perfect thing to...I wish some of mine were like that...don't get me wrong, I have some wonderfully supportive friends, but a definate few that are more interested in themselves for sure! A simple sorry to hear your news would be suffice.

Herbie - Congratulations on quitting smoking!!! In a few months you'll feel so much better and wonder why you did it! DH and I quit just over 2 years ago..don't know why we didn't do it sooner now! Well done! I'm sorry about your psychic reading too. I don't know why I'm so worked up about it now, desperate, I guess for some reassurance...but probably not the right avenue for it.

Bun - just sending you some hugs! I'm glad dinner was OK..maybe it will just take a little time to heal. Your emotions are understandable and I hope with all my heart, you do have that babe in arms sometime very soon.

Sarah - sorry to hear about AF arriving. This is such an awful process sometimes, but I always try to look at AF's arrival as the beginning of a new cycle. So onwward and upward!!

Jen- I think we have all had problems with our DHs and BDing. It is sooooo frustrating!! If only they could understand that there is only a small window of opportunity each month and you can't waste it!

Bek -I hope you are doing well. I agree with the relaxation stuff and will try to do what you have suggested. It certainly can't hurt, and it could help. I have felt v stressed lately which can't be good for my body.

Hi Herbie, las, Alex, Sharon and anyone else I have missed.

I have been having a nice relaxing easter break so far and am feeling quite happy which is a nice change! I am thinking that it just HAS TO work out in the end - I may have to go through a pretty awful journey to get the family that I want, but ultimately it HAS TO work! I have a great specialist, so far all the tests have shown we are in excellent health, the only couple of remaining tests to be done can be easily treated if a problem is found, and all we have to do is perservere! I am def not stopping trying anytime in the near future, so eventually, we will make it! I have an appointment with my specialist on the 19th and will arrange for the last couple of tests, and hopefully he can do something for me. I have been feeling v angry with him for letting me go through this again when I asked him to help me last time, and he said it is probably just bad luck and to try again. I know medically, he did the right thing, but I have harboured all this anger towards him for putting me through this rather than doing something to help me, but I am now accepting that there is nothing he could have done as he hasn't found anything to treat. Hopefully the remaining tests or the cycle tracking will show something he can treat me for, or we will just find that we have been EXTREMELY unlucky and there is nothing wrong, and we will be on our way to a happy family in no time.

Sorry, I sound like a freak, I am just trying to see things positively and move on atm. Anyway, I hope you are all munching on yummy easter eggs and having a great easter break!
