Lap next week but I think I have a + hpt?

Hi all,

I haven't been feeling anything new odd or pregnancy like since my period started last week, just finished AF yesterday. If anything it was a day or two longer than usual, no cramps and no dark blood, there was some stretchy & creamy mc mixed in with blood in the last few days. I just thought I'd do a hpt today just in case because I am having the lap next week and I am amazed I got a faint positive!!! two brands and though it is very faint they are both positive! is it possible to get a false positive?? It is faint, but I've never ever seen a second line in the window, ever!!!
I think I'll try to get in for a blood test later today.

I hope this is it! Any advice would be great,.

OMG I hope it is a BFP!!! I've heard about this kind of thing happening but good idea to get the BT done so you know where you stand with re: to the Lap. I really, really hope there will be no lap next week. All the best!!

Wow I hope its right my I know of someone who had there period and it just went for a little longer than usual . She also was having a lap the following week and did a test and she was pregnant. So goodluck Im praying its a BFP for you. Wouldnt that be sooooooooooooooooo exciting after all this time..

omg that happened to me!!! i was booked in for a lap and 2 weeks before i found out i was pregnant!!!:D what really annoyed me was it cost me $170 for the gyno and all along i was sitting there pregnant!! GOOD LUCK AND I WILL PRAY THAT ITS A :bfp:!!!!

thanks everyone, I cant get into my GP until 5pm so I doubt I'd know much before tomorrow. I really dont want to get my hopes up, I don't feel pregnant Iukwim, I did feel extra pre menstrual before Af but all symptoms stopped with AF. It seems impossible, I only did the test because of the lap.
Ohhhwwwaaa, I cant help being excited I hope it's what it seems to be. The lines are faint but they are there right on 5 minutes so they are real, they are pink, not evap lines. Oh gosh, I have to stop rambling on, sorry.

hi all, well my Gp said a 2nd line is pos no matter how light. She did say I may have misscarried though, hence the "period". She did a blood test which I'll get in the morning!!! If it's positive then I'll go for a second test tomorrow to see if the levels are going up or down:cry: I hope they go up:D.
I am still pinching myself, it seems so unlikely but the tests says not! Yey!

Hi everyone, well, my blood test levels came back low but still positive. Apparently I should consider myself pregnant now and come back for a re test next week to see what my level is, up or down. I am going to pick up a pack of HPT, a different brand and see what the result is with tomorrow mornings fmu. I am not going to get my hopes up. It's awful to think I may have just lost a baby, very early, it makes me wonder if it has happened early on in the past 12 months of ttc? I've never been pregnant before so now I know it can happen! So thats it for now, it's a waiting game.....thanks for your support, sassba:)

Hi Sassba, I hope your levels increase it can be very stressful not knowing what is going on. With my first daughter I did'nt know I was prg until I was 11 weeks, I did'nt expect to be prg I was on the pill and I got what I considered a period, similar length of time just a bit lighter but enough to think I had had one. So good!!! luck fingers crossed .Blood is always scary but it happens sometimes. My daughter was 2 weeks overdue and very healthy. :goodluck::crossfingers:

congratulations on your pregnancy - how exciting.I can imagine you would be anxious .

I would ask Gp to test again today - HCG levels should approx double every 48 hrs so it would be the best indication and less guessing. Did they say what they were ? They should have ring them and ask maybe.
