Notes: Born 3 weeks early (by induction) born 7lb 15.5oz (3.61kg) had o2 (wasnt breathing due to cord being wrapped around his throat, and strangled him when i birthed) become severely jaundiced, but not enough to be readmitted. had a little bit of trouble sucking, but it corrected itself. Is now about 9kg, giggling, reacting to noices and smiles

Welcome to Shannon and Jessalyn and Angel and Kynan (OMG!! Is he 3 months old already!!!) :)

Hope everyone else is doing well..... must admit to being slack and not checking out the last 5 page before they got locked 8-[ .

All is well here, went out to dinner for Mum;s birthday last night and Bas didn't get to sleep until 9.30... but he slept through until 7 this morning, so no complaints here :)

Off to have a shower then go spend some more of my tax return ;)

Welcome to Angel and Shannon... Happy 3months Kynan and Jes :D

I turned my girls around early 8-[ I think the 8kg is just a guide... I think most babies are sitting up around 8kg so it's a safe number. My girls had enough control when I turned them around not to be slouched in a little ball at the bottom of their seat... plus they like it muuuuch more :)

Michelle, Violet has been having yucky nappies... I think it's cause she is on antibiotics.... I had had enough after every nappy change over the passed few days had escaped... so up a nappy size! Which if fine with me cause now Emily and Violet are both in the same nappy size...lol (I usually get the next size up for Em, but she still firs into mediums - 6 to 11kg).
I hope there is no big reason for Alex's yucky nappies

Emily HATED the car too... even now she sooks!! Which is a pain when to get anywhere form my place you need to travel in the car!

Dee, we were awake at 3:30 last night... after waking every hour b4 that... I think she may have had a pain.... cause there was a poo after I fed her. Anyway... Stop procratinating and try that boy on solids!! lol... It won't kill him... but it will put your mind at rest... you will know if he is ready or not after giving him a try.... Just remember not to force him... if he crys, he isn't ready, if he pushes the food out of heis mouth he isn't ready... just go with what you feel he needs, and I think form your posts you feel he is ready for solids. Maybe don't tell anyone you are going to give him a try, then no-one will know any diff :)

Violet is sooo much better ...PHEW!!! I thought I was going to have to put her in the bin cause she was broken and order a new one...lol...j/k!
She has now discovered how for fake laugh... which is sooo cute!! Still hates on her belly! I remember Emily was up on her hands and knees and almost crawling by this stage... Emily loved on her belly...
Wato bought some materials to build the rabbit a hutch, so that'll keep him busy for a while :)
Swimming today... hmmmm and market day in Shep... can I resist. lol

Hi All!!

Welcome to Shannon and Jessalyn and Angel and Kynan!! Wow 3 months already!

Well the BIG news here is Jacob rolled over yesterday from front to back! Not just once either! So after he had done it for about the 5th time, I let him play on his mat on his back and I was about to jump on here yesterday all excited that he had done it when what does the cheeky monkey do??? He rolled from his back to his front!!! \:D/ He was watching me walk out of the room and whoosh he just flipped himself over and gave me the biggest grin! Mind you as soon as I got out the video camera he decided he was a fish out of water and just laid there LOL!!

Ok I admit I'm naughty and hadn't finished reading the last thread cos I was too excited and wanted to post 8-[

Just a quick post for now as we are going to the Dr's then i have my hospital appt.
Went to the clinic this morning and Alex has lost 40grms he has always put on 200grms or more. Not sure if it is to do with his poo's he is still doing realy bad ones. Just have to wait and see what the Dr says.

I'll be back later to catch up.

Michelle - hopefully Alex's weight loss is just because he is feeling a little icky? Hopefully the doc can fix him up.

Nat - wow @ little Jacob rolling not only from front to back but back to front! What a clever little chicken!! Gabby has rolled from front to back 7 times in the last couple of months. She allllmost did it again today but, nup, couldn't muster up the strength. It goes to show how differently they all develop, hey? LOL @ him not rolling once the video camera is out. I have only caught one of Gabby's rolls. She gets camera shy once it is out!

Zola - that's great that Bas still slept through the night even though he went to bed later. It's reassuring to know. I find that, provided Gabby can have a snooze wherever we are, she will still sleep even if she goes to bed late. She still wakes up at normal time tho. Have fun spending up big with your tax return! Mine is all gone :( Ahh well!

Tanya - wow @ Emily and Violet being in the same nappies. Em really is a skinny-ribs!! Good to hear Violet is feeling better (and hasn't been chucked in the bin ;) ). Awww @ the fake laugh. The little trickster! Hope you had fun @ the market!

Shannon - have fun with your Mum and Dad down. You never know, you might end up with MORE opportunity to get online ;)

Fi - hope your flight home wasn't too stressful and that you get to catch up on some zzzzzzz's today!

Gab slept from 10-6am last night so *phew*, her wake-ups the night before weren't a sign of things to come. I think she has had a cold. Neil was saying his cold was weird... only a little bit snotty and no cough. So I think she must have had it. She's just coming good today. She still only lasts 2 hours awake tho - it's a bit frustrating because she now only sleeps really well in her cot. Just means I have to be home a lot more now. I managed to string her out to 3 hours this morning (because I didn't want to leave mother's group early) but she was pretty grumpy by the time we got home. The girl loves her sleep - guess I shouldn't complain!

Tanya - I think you`ve got some good advice there re Matthew and solids, I was actually going to go to Bi Lo today and get some rice cereal but we didn`t go near Bi Lo and would you believe it Matthew slept last night from 8.30pm till 7am, I`m not holding my breath after having a week of wake ups how can he suddenly turn around to sleeping through again. Re: the 8kg and sitting up, Matthew was 7.7kg 2 weeks ago and far from sitting up, he`s not even rolling perhaps I should look at 10kg for him before the car seat is turned around. Emily must be a little petite girl, at least it saves you thinking about what size nappy to put on the girls. I`m so glad Violet is better

Michelle - Good Luck at the Dr`s I hope Alex just isn`t feel too well and hope it`s nothing serious. Let us know how you get on at your Hospital appointment as well.

Nat - Double WooHoo for Jacob, he sounds like he`s doing very well and a cheeky little boy.

Deb - Glad to hear that Gabby slept through for you last night.

Zola - Sounds like Bas is sleeping well for you OMG at him being nearly 6 months old where does the time go????

I`m not sure what I`ve been doing this week but it seems to be all go. Matthew is getting so hot in his car seat, the poor boy is going to cook come summer, I had to strip him off today so he didn`t cook, is anyone else having problems with their babies getting hot?? Not much I can do except to strip him off as it is he was only in Jeans and a T Shirt.

Tanya, that's great that Violet is much better now. Kynan's not terribly keen on being on his tummy either. He refuses to lift his head a lot of the time even though he's perfectly capable of doing it quite well.

Deb, what a relief that Gabby had a decent sleep last night!

Deeanne, yay for Matthew sleeping through last night!

Any ideas on how to encourage Kynan to lift his head during tummy time? I've tried heaps of different toys including musical ones and ones with lights, mirrors, me sitting there talking to him but it just seems like he thinks it's too much effort most of the time LOL. He will have times when he lifts his head and looks around heaps but then he goes for days where it looks like he just can't be bothered LOL.

Dee - I can't really help you there. Gabby does get hot when it's a sunny day when she is in the car seat. I hate her facing the rear because the sun shines in her face sometimes depending on which direction we are travelling. Mind you, I imagine it is much colder here than it is up your way. It must be a pain in the bum to have to strip Matthew off every time you go on a drive. Good to hear he slept through last night. Here's hoping he keeps it up!

Angel - I don't have any suggestions for you either. Gabby has always held her head up super high - like OTT high LOL. Ever since she was just a few weeks old I have had comments from people saying how strong she is in that respect. It hasn't helped her to roll earlier or anything so I don't see how it's an advantage. I wouldn't stress about it too much. You are giving him plenty of tummy time so he'll get it eventually.

Angel - Sorry like Deb I can`t offer you any advice re Kynan not lifting his head, Matthew has been very strong in his neck since he was born but at times like Kynan he can get super lazy and not hold it up as far as he would normally but this only happens if he doesn`t want any tummy time.

Deb - The same happens with Matthew the sun hits him at times that`s one of the reasons why we brought some baby banz sunnies for him. Yeah I hope he keeps this sleeping through the night up but I`m not counting on it.

I got a SMS from my Mum saying that she had a strange dream about me the other night: In her dream I told her I was pregnant again, Mums reply was "Oh so soon, what are you having" My reply was "A girl". I find this funny as that`s exactly what Mum would say to me oh so soon after having Matthew, that`s why no one knows we`re TTC as I`m sure some would think we`re crazy, no one knew when we were TTC Matthew either.

I bought Gabby some baby bans too. They are too big for her atm. I got her some orange ones. The strap is flouro orange which I am not too thrilled about but, hey, sunnies are sunnies, right? They will be good for summer. We are hoping to get a new car at the end of the year (a station wagon) so the sun won't be a major issue. Fingers crossed n e way!!

Woo hoo... booked our accomodation for when we go to Echuca in October. We're just staying in cabins at a caravan park - just think it will be easier with the babies. Can't wait to get away for a bit!

I was thinking the same Deb that it could be an omen, be funny if it is.

With the sunnies, they were far too big for Matthew too but all I did was move the velcro through that little hole, you do end up with a loop but at least it fits and Matthew has been wearing them since he was 5 weeks, he didn`t like them at first but he`s ine with them now. A station wagon that would be fantastic and a lot easier to get the pram in and out.

Thanks for the tip, Dee. I might have a fiddle with them. It would be a good idea to get Gabby used to them asap (well... before she gets old enough to simply just rip them off her head).
Yep... that's exactly why I want a station wagon. That and so we can take the dog to the beach without her jumping all over Gabby. Currently, if we want to take Lucy anywhere, she has to sit in the front and I sit in the back with Gabby. 5 star treatment for the bloody dog!! LOL

Angel, Sarah gave us a good idea for tummy time... put a rolled up towel under their chest to elevate them a bit. It encourages them to put their head up....hth

Dee, I didn't tell anyone I was ttc with Violet. I was affraid of the really's and wow, your going to have fun's etc etc...iykwim!! I hope you mum's dream was right!! Are you going to try for a pink one this time (timing, alkalinity etc etc). Like I have said I would love to try for a boy but I think I am living in a dream land...lol

Didn't go tot the market today :D Although I did buy Emily's birthday pressie... we got her a rose gold charm bracelet... we had to get a jump link put on it cause it is adult size and the catch wouldn't fit through the links to make it smaller.... It was on sale from $225 (or something like that to $99.50... so it was worth thte extra $25 to get the extra link put on.

We saw the Dr and Alex has a tummy bug if he is no better i have to take him to the hospital tonight or tomorrow. I have lost count how many times i have changed him today. Just hope he starts to keep something inside him soon. He is feeding ok but it is just coming straight out again.

Michelle, I hope that Alex is getting better now and you don't have to go to the hosp. From experience though you re better off going straight to the hosp instead of mucking around going to the Dr's then the hosp. Fingers crossed he's better already.

Tanya, I love my wagon too but Mark is still at me to learn how to drive the van so we can get rid of it. I hate ****y seats, I just don't think there safe. I guess it's just a personal thing but I ws made to ride in one when I was a kid and hated it. LOL at Em and Violet fitting in the same nappies. Thats got to make things easier on shopping day. YAY on getting Em's bracelet too, sounds like you got a great bargain.

Dee, very freaky. Would you be happy to be pg right now?? If so, I hope her dream is more of a premonition(sp?) for you. Tehya's carseat has a hood on it so it's supposed to shade her from the sun. Angel, welcome to you and Kynan. Not sure if I welcomed you in the last thread so I'm doing it again JIC. Sounds like you are giving Kynan plenty of tummy time, he'll get it eventually. Maybe he just doesn't liek being there. I know Tehya's not huge on it.

Zola, NOOOO Bas can't be nearly 6 months old. If that's the case Tehya isn't far behind him. YAY on getting some great sleep too. Lucky girl.

OK, so it was another monster catch up. Thursday night wsa a complete shocker for us. I swear I was up atleast 10 times and was totally exhausted yesterday. Last night she went down around 10ish and woke for a feed at 1.30am and 4.30 am up for good around 7am. Funny how I see that as a good night and to most of you it's terrible.

Got Tehya weighed yesterday and she weighs 7.26kgs and is 68 cms long. She has grown 2 cms in 3 weeks. But she's only gained 33 grams. Wow, I hadn't worked that out til now, that'a a really poor effort for her. Hmmm, what to do. Oh well, the MCHN wasn't worried about it, so I'm not stressing. She could've just been wearing lighter clothes.

Better go, Joel has his first date today. How very cute. It's my friend from the scrap shops daughter. I've warned him to be on his best behaviour. Their going to the movies so it's not like they'll be talking alot.

Trish - when Gabby gets weighed, I have to strip her down. It's a bit odd that they weigh Tehya with her clothes on?? It would surely make a difference to her weight. Good to hear you got a better night's sleep last night. To me, 2 wake ups would be hell (like you said) but it's heaps better than 10! Any wonder you were knackered!!

Tanya - we had a ****y seat in the back of our SW when we were little. We had to because there was 4 of us. Lauren and I would sit in the back when Hanna and Erin were in car seats then we swapped because our legs were getting too long, LOL. We didn't mind it so much - we just hated people pointing and waving at us all the time because it was such a novelty (and, let's face it, we were gorgeous ;) ). Emily's bracelet sounds like it was a great bargain! Good job!

Sarah - sorry to hear about your bad night once again. You must be knackered too.

Michelle - sorry to hear about Alex's tummy bug. At least it explains his weight loss. I hope you don't have to take him to hospital. Poor little man.

Went to a candle party last night. It was good because everyone wanted a cuddle with Gabby so I got a break! Yay! She was pretty grizzly tho so I ended up putting her down for a nap in the pram. I was surprised she fell asleep because the kids just would not leave her alone!! When we got home, Neil was already snoring away in bed. I swear, I am going to shove something up his nostrils if he doesn't stop snoring like a fricken freight train! I have to wear ear plugs just to get to sleep but that means that I can't hear Gabby. Thankfully she didn't wake up until 8am (yay!). Neil's alarm went off at 5:30am tho. I am thinking about moving to the spare room, LOL.

Just a quick up date from us.
I took Alex to the hospital last night we arrived at around 6p.m and was not seen until around midnight just glad Alex slept most of the time. We where alowed home becuase he is feeding well and he is not dehydrated. While the peaditrition (sp?) was seeing us Paul phoned and said Kimberley had just started throwing up.
Alex has gastro and just needs to keep his fluids up. I also have to make his formula weaker until he is better.

Oh gosh, Michelle. Sorry to hear that both the kids are sick with gastro! That's no good at all. I hope it doesn't last too long. Huge :hugs: I know it's gotta be tough on you atm.

Michelle - I`m so sorry to hear that both Alex and Kimberley have a tummy bug, I hope they both recover quickly for you.

Deb - It`s amazing what they can sleep through sometimes. LOL at thinking about shoving something up Neil`s nostrils, he must be pretty noisy

Trish - If i had my way I would have been happy to be pg last month but when only BDing once in a blue moon I would have been lucky, so to answer your question I`d love to be pg right now :D I`ve got a hood for Matthew`s car seat and have tried it but it doesn`t help at all so we took it off again, why have a hood when it doesn`t block out the sun ](*,) You must have been a walking zombie having to get up 10 times, here I`m thinking twice was bad enough last night. How cute that Joel has his first date.

Sarah - sounds like your going to be exhausted when you get home today.

Tanya - I`m not doing anything to try for a blue or pink one, just doing the same as I did with Matthew and that was DTD when I felt lke it and keeping quiet when I think I`m ovulating so Mark doesn`t suspect he`s just being used to maybe get something IYKWIM So are you going to try for a boy?? Well Mark is like a bear with a sore head at the moment, he has a little sniffle which to be honest you wouldn`t even now about, I had to give Matthew to him this morning to look after while I had a shower when I was on my way out the door I heard him say to Matthew now be a good boy I`m not feeling well with this cold - Men why are they always like a dying duck in a thunderstorm when they get something, I felt like saying how do you think I`ve been coping with this flu all week but I know what response I would have got - Your the mother. Oh well hopefully this sniffle will not stay around for too long with Mark.

Dee, LOL @ your DH. Men are the worst when they are sick. DOn't you just wish you could send them back to their mothers when their like that. Although in fairness to my Mark he rarely gets sick and doesn't complain all that much. Hope that Matthew is doing well and doesn't catch his Daddy's cold either.

Deb, My ex snored like that. Honestly, I would make him sleep out on the lounge and the door would be shut so would the bedroom door and his snoring would still wake me up. The nights that he ws in bed I would just boot him in the shins. Poor buggar always had bruised shins :D YAY for getting out for a while to the candle party and getting a break from Gab. Hope that she's doing well too.

I only get Tehya weighed at the chemist, that's why she's done dressed. I guess I should've explained myself better.

Went out for dinner last night with my family for Chinese. Food wsa ok and the kids were pretty well behaved. We only had Noah and Tehya and my brother took his 2 girls and Mum's foster child. Noah loved the monsters (lobsters) it was so funny the minute they started to move (in the tank) he would freak out. Yep another 2 glass wonder last night. I've decided that whenever I take the kids out now I'm going to drink, I'm so much more relaxed.

Better go, Mark's just made me bacon and eggs for brekkie.

As for us, last night wasn't fantastic by any stretch of the imagination, but was better than the night before. I'm a bit worried that it's something Aaron is or isn't doing cos we haven' had a VERY bad night for ages until the last two :-k

As for me & work - we did 9hrs on Friday & 10hrs yesterday & we still aren't finished. The shop is almost done but the offices are pretty well still in boxes. Some of the freezers can't be turned on yet cos they blow the circuits, same for one of the fridges (in the shop the big ones are ok). So it looks a bit bare, but the shelves are almost full & the electrician is coming in tomorrow morning. Oh & I can't walk!!! The muscles in my legs are sooo sore - walking up & down stairs then in & out of the coolroom & all over the warehouse has killed me. So we are sitting round the house doing nothing all day "aaaah bliss".

I might be going in tomorrow as well - half a day but I haven't decided if it will be morning or afternoon yet.

Just wanted to let you all know how Alex is doing he is much better has not done many poo's since yesterday. I still have him on weak formula every other bottle.
Last night i was down the hospital with Kimberley for 5hrs and she was on a drip as she was so dehydrated. She is home and doing much better also.
Just keeping everything crossed that Paul or i don't get it.

Well it's now been 3 days since Kynan last did a poo and it doesn't look like it's going to happen today either LOL. The longest he's gone before has been 2 days and that was a mess when it finally happened so we're not looking forward to the nappy change when he eventually does it LMAO!!

Does anyone else have a thumb sucking babe? We've given up on giving Kynan dummies as he can't seem to keep them in his mouth (or doesn't want to LOL). He much prefers his thumb.

Yup we have a thumb sucker as well - and a blanket, finger, bib, clothes, nappy (cloth one for spews I mean) sucker too!!!

Been trying to get in here over the weekend but the silly internet has been having trouble finding the page when I want to post a reply - anyone else get this?
Well it sure has been a week of firsts around here. First we had the rolling - which he has only done twice since - then on Saturday morning we found Jacob's first tooth had cut through! So funny watching him rub his tongue over it with a confused look on his face. Of course all the boys wanted to feel and the poor bub had all of us shoving our fingers in his month all day to feel the tooth. Ironically, Sunday morning Jeff's mum come down and we told her about his tooth and I was just about to pop my finger in again when I looked in his month and found tooth number 2! Well at least this explains the grumpy little boy we have.
Saturday Jacob had his first day at the park - sort of. We had organised a BBQ for dad's birthday and packed the camera to capture his day. Well he was wide awake on the walk down there and as soon as we entered the park it was lights out for Jacob! So his first day at the park photo is of him sound asleep in his pram LOL! Christian was so disgusted at him being asleep he went and played with another baby! The little boys dad thought it was hilarious!
Well that's it from me tonight/this morning. Naughty me forgot to put the kids school uniform in the wash over the weekend so I have been waiting for the machine to finish. Hopefully off to bed in about 5 mins yippee!!!!

Well, a bit somber here... Chamba finally got his way and killed the rabbit :( NORTY CHAMBA!! Wato was reaaally angry about it too... At least he didn't get too far on the rabbit hutch! I showed Emily and we buried her... she really had no idea about what was going on... I didn't think she would either.
Violet was up at 3am last night, so still not sleeping thro since she was ill... but at least I got to watch the end of the 4th test :) . But after I put her back to bed she slept till almost 9am... so she nearly has it.
Other than that we are all good... hope you are all doing well!

Matthew and I went with my Dad to the local auctions yesterday, Dad needed a new bathroom vanity before his sister and brother in law arrive to visit from NZ in a couple of weeks, it was such a tiring day yet Matthew was an angel, he had two 30 minute sleeps, I have no idea how anyone could sleep with the noise and he was admired by a man who thought Matthew was wonderful which I found unusual for a man to be interested in a baby but it was nice to show him off to a stranger IYKWIM :D

Hello All!

I've really gotta get back into the swing of the BB thing - things around here have been really hectic with DH resigning from his job etc. etc. Other than that however, Hannah and I are really well. This is a really lovely age (I guess all the different ages and stages are though). She's now 6760g. A very chubby little girl, with very kissable chubby cheeks. We have our last Mum's group at Child Health tomorrow. Hopefully the mums will all meet informally after that though...

Dee - I do know what you mean about showing bubs off to strangers :D . I have people stop me in the shops all the time. It is so funny how people feel they can approach you when you have a baby - like it breaks down the usual social barriers or something. It's pretty special.

Tanya - Very norty Chamba. Bummer about Violet being up at 3am...but at least you sound like you can look in the bright side!

Shannon - Way to go on the sleeping Jess! Glad you've got your parents around to help out a bit atm...I love visiting my Mum and Dad in Brissy 'cos they are so wrapped in Hannah that I hardly have to do anything except feed her when we're there!

Angel - I can so relate to the poo thing! Hannah used to poo after every feed, and it was a smaller and more manageable mess...but now she saves it all up for 2-3 days and lets me have it with one enormous runny yellow poo. I have learned not to put her in her good white capri pants when she hasn't "been" for a day or so! Hannah's a thumb sucker too, though sometimes a dummy works on the odd occasion when she's too overtired and can't seem to keep her thumb in there! Most of the time, she spits it out too.

Sarah - Hope your leg muscles are feeling better? Sounds like you deserved the break on Sunday. Hope you didn't over-do things today...

Awww… poor Aaron! ;) I still think it’s so odd that they are weighing babies up your way with their clothes on. Any wonder Gabby seems so light compared to so many other bubs her age. I mean, she’d still be lighter but not as much, iykwim? Is it because it’s considered a health issue?

Michelle – oh no! Poor Kimberley. Sheesh… when it rains, it pours, hey? Good to hear that little Alex is feeling better. My fingers and toes are crossed that you and DH don’t get the same bug. That would be the last thing you need right now.

A friend of a friend had twins a few months ago – they were born at 26 weeks. N E way, they had to stay in hospital in Melbourne until recently so they were having to travel from Geelong and back several times a week. They also have a 2 yo. She was, needless to say, getting pretty stressed so she went for a walk one day to the park with her son and a can of scotch and cola. She sat and watched him play while she took sly sips so that the other Mums couldn’t see what she was doing. She said it was all she needed to have a bit of a relax and just not think about things for a while. LOL. Good on her, I say!

Juliette - have fun at MG tomorrow! Sounds like Hannah is going great guns. Love those chubby cheeks!

Dee - yay for Matthew being such a good boy while you were out. It's always good when they behave themselves in public ;)

Gabby is getting really good with eating her Farex now. She fully opens her mouth and actually looks for the next spoonful now. It’s good because there’s less mess. She is enjoying having her extra bottle during the day and just seems so much more content now that her belly is getting filled. AND she rolled from front 2 back two more times yesterday so now she has rolled 9 times!! I wonder when I will lose count?? ;) She was trying to roll from back to front this morning but she can’t figure out what to do with her arms. All par for the course tho!
We went to Mum’s last night. My sisters wanted to have a “boy-free” night because we’re sick of the BF’s and DH acting like it’s the last place they want to be when we go over there. We had dinner together and watched a movie. Gabby slept through most of it but got up to have a chat to everyone before we left. I didn’t get to bed until 1am. Still, it was worth it. Hopefully we will get to do something like that more often. Next time we plan on doing some scrapping which should be good.

Have been reading all the posts since I was last on and thought I should pass on some info about car seats.

Some of the new Safe-n-Sound seats can be rearward facing until baby is 12kgs, but most are 9kgs. You need to read the instruction booklet. just remember that if baby is turned too early and you are involved in an accident then baby is not covered by Transoprt Accident Insurance and your car insurance could become void aswell. I found this out through VicRoads. In regard to height of straps, they need to be above or level with shoulder, being below the shoulder will cause more damage if you are involved in an accident.

I also read on the internet that the American Academy of Pediatrics recommend that baby is rearward facing for the first 12 months as it is the safest way for baby to travel and they sustain less injuries if you are involved in an accident.

I'll get off this morbid topic to et you know that Ella has finally cut her second tooth. It has taken 8 days of crying and fevers for it to finally happen. YAY.

Well for those who i know from the previous thread i am finally back!

Cant believe i am now joining this thread now, how the time flys

Have had visitors and now have to move house so been so busy looking and with a baby in tow it aint easy! As you would all know.

Havent had a chance to read back and i think i have just missed way too much to even attempt it so i will just start from here i think:)

Mason was going really great but the last few weeks he has been hard work at times, but not complaining too loudly as sailing through the first 3 mths was great. Taking him to the baby nurse tommorow as he is just so hungry and its driving me mad! Just not satisfied and he is going to end up a wrestler at 6 mths if i feed him like he wants, i am sure there is a better solution and hoping the baby nurse has one for me tommorow.
He is 5.4 kgs now so he is putting weight on. I know they recommend that you dont give cereal etc until 4mths but has anyone tried it earlier to satisfy a hungry baby, his nappies are really watery too so thinking a change in formula has to happen, so frustrating trying to find the right one though! Otherwise he is spoilt rotten, i am the first to admit that i am creating a little monster!! But leaving them to cry or scream just aint me, picking him up saves my sanity and keeps the peace. Most of the time he is a pretty happy soul, so once i sort out his hunger thing i think we will be set again.

Hope everyone else is going great, i hope to be on more often once i have moved.

Don't you looove those cheeks Juliette :D It is great to continue MG after the formal stuff is finished - gets you out of the house at least one day a week! My leg muscles recovered about lunchtime on Sunday, but then after working half a day yesterday they are sore again today. Hopefully though I can just do my normal job from now on when I go in.

I had the thought that maybe Zander was missing me Deb & that was causing the crankiness. I was home all day Sunday & he slept through on Sunday night, then yesterday I was at work for half a day and he was up heaps last night. He even had a 2am bottle which he hasn't done for weeks. As for the weighing with clothes on I think it's just a matter of them wanting to get us in & out quickly to tell you the truth. The first two times we went they took his clothes off, ut not anymore. Yay on miss Gabby's rolling - she'll be a pro in no time! Also yay on the farax & extra bottle sounds like it's working for you both now. Sounds like you guys had a great girls night with your sisters & mum too.

LOL at Jessalyn rolling everytime you get her on her tummy. Zander was the same & now cos he can roll the other way there is no keeping him on his back! When you say her belly is twice the normal size Shannon, do you think you could put a thin pillow under her legs then under her head to make it more comfortable? Just a thought if she needs to have a bit of tummy time for her back.

Gosh Belinda, it sounds like you have been very busy lately. Most of us are the same in here with picking up our bubs when they cry, so we will all have spoilt little monsters together ;)

Wow that was a long catchup!! As for us, like I said we had another bad night last night. Zander was up 7 times between 9pm & 2am and even had a bottle at 2am which is unusual for him lately. I just don't understand how he can sleep through on Sunday night & then do that last night. Nothing is ever consistent ](*,) Buuut I love my boy & we'll figure it all out eventually.
