Can't resist...

I've been holding off posting on here today because I'm not getting my hopes up. However I have already let the girls in the Pre-conception Chatter thread know that I got a :bfp: today :)

An unexpected, but most welcome surprise considering I was told I wouldn't be able to conceive naturally. Which is another reason why I'm not getting too excited just yet - because both my tubes are supposedly blocked I'm a bit worried about ectopic.

Have a docs appointment tomorrow which I already had booked to get my iron injection but it's going to turn into a "I think I'm pregnant" appointment :)

Anyhow, I couldn't resist telling someone as DP & I want to keep it quiet until we know everything is ok, so I gave in and am posting here. Still in awe and disbelief that I am pregnant :dance:

Just got back from the docs to confirm- she seemed very excited! Didn't have to POAS again, the 2 I did yesterday seemed to be good enough for her. She gave me a referral to have an ultrasound done specifying me as high risk ectopic. So I've made an appointment for tomorrow at 5:30!! Didn't think I would get one so soon.

The only bad thing is tomorrow I have to drink 1 litre of water between 3:30 and 4 and hold it until I get to the ultrasound appt :doh: I'm like a leaky tap, I can never hold for that long!!

Can't wait to see the ultrasound tomorrow though. Doc said might not be able to see anything but they may be able to detect a heartbeat, she mainly just wants to know where the embryo is at this stage.

Congratulations, I hope you have a H & H pregnancy!

Had my first scan this afternoon and it's definitely in my uterus so no ectopic :D At this stage the doctor said he could not date my pregnancy yet but he could see the sac and pointed out the layers around it which he said indicated to him it is a viable pregnancy. He said I'd have to have another scan in a couple of weeks to date it and see a bit more...

I go back to my GP on Thursday and from there I guess it is organising obs etc...
