I know Buddhism does.

Niass well if we did come back as animals which I dont feel we do I am sure my hubbie was a cocroach, he just loves mess in his office nd he aint easy to get rid of either, both related to the ****y in my eyes!!!
If you felt that as a child hon then I dare say you were remembering your past life/s. Children are much open to it becuase it wasn't that long since they were in the spirit world, so they remember it much clearer, as we get older we start to forget BUT that feeling that pinches you deep in yo9ur gut is always there.
I KNOW I have had a very powerful life in India and Peru. I have seen myself in India giving birth and dying just after my child enters the world, hence my fear of birth in this life, and 6 kids later is to rid me of my fear. I was also a priest who loooked after the orphanage children in PERU, hence again my love for children and helping the poor.

Yes, i remember being a man, i also used to tell my mum when i was little "I liked it better when i was a big lady" but this was shushed out of me.

Remebering who we played in other lifes can be benificial to the life we are living now. Past life regression is a great way to touch into it. My hubbie was amazed what he saw, and he is the biggest skeptic I know.
I wouldn't touch regression with a 40 foot pole but only because i don't want to have to see what happened ealier in THIS life to get to a past one. I can usually tell when i meet someone if i've known them "before". For instance, on here, Cailin and I have known one another before, it's not hard to feel. DP and i have certainly known one another many times, the knowledge is deep and secure and the warmth between us in incredible. I can't remember who i was as a man, just the physical awareness of being male instead of female.

OK, was just making conversation about past life regression, its not all negative, depends how you go into it with your mind set, if its already neg then that is the experience you will have. For me I am over all my angers form the past and therefore are more clear minded about everything I am coming into. You dont travel through this life in "Past" life regression, thats why its past life stuff. But its laready in our subconscious minds, its inprinted on our soul, so in affect we do remember bits and pieces of a previous life, we just awaken it when having a regression, same as hypnotising.
Fair enough though, if its scares you then thats under standable too, not everyone is ready or willing to delve that deep into who they were/are. I have only done it a few times and still it makes me a little u nervy but I know my soul is good and am not feared of finding out if I did anything evil, I know I would not have. Does that make sense?
I am not religious, more spiritual. i believe i have many past lives, as certain things in my life i have known from past lives. I am going to be hypnotised by MIL soon, and going to find out more, DP's step grand father recently passed away so just trying to deal with that before moving into these things...
I'm not worried about my past lives Soul i just do not want to relive what happened to me as a child again. I know myself very well, well enough to know that ruin lies in that direction. I wouldn't submit to hypnotism either, not even hypnobirthing. It is not for me.

ummm I think that we have all been here before and I would like to think that those we lost are with us still...
this is a little off topic but my mum died in 2003 and my son started waving and smiling at a photo of her as a young woman a few months ago, he now sits in front of it and chats to her occasionally. He older pics he doesn't react to just this one...
nelly he would be seeing her no doubt, kids dont allow there rational mind to take over completley thererfore dont question what they are seeing, they see spirit and thats that.
As usual I have many and conflicting thoughts on the issue. So yes I do and no I don't believe in it. Keeping an open mind. Like Hoobley I have memories of being a man, specifically a soldier and I remember my best mate had red hair. It was in Europe somewhere during the second world war. I think that was my most recent past life... can't remember anything before that. Oh and I think I was killed in the war.
Now the other side of my thinking says that it's not true. That it is a construct of people fearful of death. :dunno: plus it is not written in the bible and I think that would be a pretty huge oversite HOWEVER apparently there are huge "missing" portions of the bible that the Vatican has under wraps... I often wonder what could be written there....
Weird you should say that Bec, because I have this strong feeling too. Although I thought perhaps long lost relatives LOL but you could be right could definitely be a past life thing.
My kids have definitely been here before. Paris is a very old soul, we've been told that many times especially by my granny.
Most the children born these days are old souls, which are "Crystal Children" they are coming in to try and save this world and change what damage there ancestors have done.
Totally believe in reincarnation, have caught too many glimpses of my own past lives (terribly ordinary too might I add) to NOT believe!!
How much did I freak out when I saw that movie "Life is beautiful" (parts filmed in a reconstruction of one of the concentration camps sleeping sheds) and remembered the recurring dream I had when I was a child of hiding in a shed that looked EXACTLY the same...! I've also had the experience of knowing stuff (ie herbal lore) that I couldn't possibly know since it's not been in my life experience this time round and not something I've ever researched either.
I've also had multiple ppl tell me the same thing about several of my past lives - I believe some of our past lives are "closer" to this current lifetime in terms of the stuff we bring in to deal with and learn (ie what I call karma). Which of course is only ever useful if you use it for self awareness and growth and not some I-was-past-life-royalty ego trip! LOL
marydean isnt it a wonderful feeling when it is confirmed that what you have felt about your past life/s is seen by another. Myn comes about in Sychronicities. I dreamt about being in Peru, which I had never seen before, and saw myself dressed in a robe, a dirty brown robe with a sort of rope arund it, I was wlaking down stone steps that went down levels, then there were all these kids with me and they seemed to be staying around me. I went and had a reading done a week later to be told I wa a priest and looked after all the orphaned children in peru. I reseacrhed on peru and it sure was the place that was in my dream. Then I understood my curiosity I had for this boy that wa sn my class when I was 8 years old, I could not stop straing at him and was completley fasinated with him and felt I knew him and we never spoke. He was purivian!!!!
I guess as each life goes and you do more and more spiritual work, you are set higher goals, therefore your lifes arnt all that boring. I have no desire to be rich or royal, give me the little ole house wife I am seeing the world thorugh my own eyes anyday!! lmao
Yep I'd agree with that, often what I see or hear is confirmed by multiple synchronicities all occuring around the same time frame. Just so you can't ignore it! LOL:

Cailin they can be called what you want, which ever religion you are, but in the en d they are still old souls, and I would like to think they are coming in trobes to make the world a better place, and I dont need any specific religion to think that.
If Ego moves aside from peolpe, we can see that every child is special and every child has a wonderful purpose for being here. JMO

Perhaps you got reborn again because you "Chose" to come back and learn more. Maybe you wanted to learn how to love more, get more out of life in the way of experiencing it more. We come back for many reasons and only our own souls know the answer to this.. If we know our past incarnation, then we can utilise it positively, so at that time inspiration comes forward very quickly. If somebody knows that he was a seeker, then he gets a little joy anf confidence. “I started my journey in my past incarnation, but it was a very long and arduous road. In this incarnation I am still walking along the same path, but I don't have as far to go this time. Also, it is easier because I have already gained some knowledge fortm my last life. This is something I have thought and thought about over the last few years and still I come to no answer, and am sure I wont till I leave this place.But this is what I thnk about it, I hope I have right what you are asking, otherwise if its not what you are asking, I will try again. You will get many differnet views on this, as it will also run with what religion you are, but for me, its not about what a book says or what my next door neighbour says, its about what I think and feel myself.
I feel that spirit and soul are seperate, I use to think they were one, but I am starting to think they are seperate.To me the Spirit is that part of you which is the direct creation of God/ higher being, depending on your beliefs. Your Spirit is the highest aspect of who and what you are. Your Spirit is devoid of all elements of human personality and character. It is a direct fragment of the Divine Life of God/ higher being, does that make sense? The Spirit is one with all and understands, fully, that oneness, as well as its oneness with God, its Creator. The Spirit is perfect and universal in all aspects. So to me your Spirit is perfect in all ways. Why? Because God is perfect in all ways. There is only One greater and more "everything" than your Spirit God/ who ever you believe to be the most divine i guess, for its god, but not as such as the one in the bible. I feel we were created in God's IMAGE as Spirit. Thus, as with any image, we are not the original. God is the original; we are the image. As Spirit, we may be a perfect copy, but we are just that: a copy. As perfect an image as we may be, we are, nonetheless an image. That is how I see the spirit.
And the Soul is a different aspect of the spirit.The soul is that part of your Spirit which has human character and which links with the human experience. From what I have learn by readinga nd dreaming and having spirit communication all my life, seeing it my way I believe the srpirit is perfect, the Soul is an expression of that perfection, but to a lesser degree. Again, your Soul is an image of your Spirit; just as your Spirit is an image of God. It is the Soul which "descends" from the home of the Spirit and resides within a level of Creation somewhat removed -- in terms of vibration from that of the spirit. The Soul is closely linked to the Earth plane and the human experience. Ours Soul is sometimes referred to as the "higher self" or that part of us which guides, through intuition and through its connection with the Spirit and with God, our earthly affairs. The Soul has its roots in what we traditionally call the Spirit World, but it dips its feet, so to speak from time to time onto this earth plane.
Finally, the Soul is of Spirit essence, if that makes sense, lol, yet, it has its own body ~~ energy rather than material.You have one Soul, which is an image of your Spirit, which, in turn, was created in God's image. But, you have created multiple personalities living within multiple bodies at various points in history hence our past lives we have had. Each time you decide to reincarnate, you create a new earthly personality and a new earthly body. OK going off topci, sorry lmao
So , to answer you, sorry for dragging this out, yes I think they are two seperate things, but interwined as a part of a whole.
