Tester List
As you are aware any posts made on BellyBelly that we believe to be market research are removed.
Due to a few members getting creative and requesting testers for their ideas lately, we have decided to help out and create a place where testers can meet with makers.
This thread is a trial and we reserve the right to remove it at any time if we feel that the guidelines are not being met.
Cloth Nappies, Covers, Breast Pads, Training Pants & Cloth Menstrual Pads are all items that members can offer to test.
The system will work like this:
For those offering to be Testers,
Members who want to offer to be a tester must have a minimum post count of 50 posts.
Please post in this thread with the date of birth (month and year) of your bub and any comments on his/her build where appropriate. Please be aware that nappy makers may contact you for specifics at the time they are looking for testers.
You must give honest feedback where requested by the maker.
For those offering items to be tested,
Please contact the suitable member who has offered to be a tester by either PM or email not on the forum.
No money is to be involved. The person who wants their item tested is to gift it to the tester, including postage.
And for both Testers and Makers,
All feedback whether it be positive or negative is to be kept strictly OFF the forum.
Also please remember to keep all communication about the items off the forum. This includes announcing the arrival of "Fluffy Mail" in the General Chatter threads and all tester nappies for "What's On His/Her Bum" must be described simply as "Tester Nappy" with no mention of maker, until such time as the product is for sale.
We have an amazing bunch of talented ladies here and I hope that this is a step forward to helping eachother out. I’d love to see more of you make a success in the nappy world :D
Any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me by PM or email raven@bellybelly.com.au

In that stage where he fits some smalls and some mediums...moving towards mediums.
Have used cloth for both kids from birth, and have tried a large range of accessories and nappies, familiar with every type (prefold/flats, pockets, AIO's, fitteds & covers, night nappies, cloth wipes, liners, boosters, breastpads).

Can I go down for a newborn, even though she's not here yet ???
Expecting her to be around 8pounds or 3.7kgs. If she's anything like her siblings.

Hi, I'd love to be a tester. I will give a full review of any product tried, including photos of nappies/covers showing the fit on my son.
Austin - 2yrs (25/11/05) TT'ing during day but still wears nappies as I haven't found a good cloth trainer pant yet that holds his big toddler wees. He generall0y wears homemade PUL pockets by day, AIO's for naps and Very Baby Simply Nights with handknit covers at night. We are happy to try anything, just thought I'd let you know what I'd be comparing things to.
I am happy to try Mama pads too, and have tried a few different brands so can compare. No photo's though ;)
-
Just thought I'd add DS to the list :)
Jambin - 11/4/07 (currently 8.5 months old) - nearly 10kgs, but tall and slim - has been cloth nappied since birth with AIO's, prefolds, pockets and fitteds.
Me - I'd be happy to be a mama pad tester. I currently use the Wemoon ones, so could compare with those.
-
TIny bilby
18months old as of today
16.11.06 arrived
around 10kgs
suits narrow crotch nappies and mainly sidesnappers due to shape
medium wetter i think
has been in MCN since five days old
we use all types of MCN and woolly covers
Me
short, light periods, happy to test out mamapads, have been using a variety of brands for over a year. AIO style with wings.
Feedback:
Happy to do a photo journal with observations for the MCN (pros and cons), can compare fit, fabrics, drying time, absorbency, etc with the many otehr brands we have tried.
Happy to do a journal of observations for the mamapads, can compare with the other brands i have tried (maybe 8?).
Have done some testing already, i like to feel useful in contributing to new MCN products.
-
Oh oh me me!!!
Sarah - 26/4/06 tall slender girl, suits wide crotch and narrow crotch. wees for australia! is becoming toilet aware but not quite there yet. currently using sposies at night as no cloth we have found can hold all that wee. have a fair range of nappies to compare to. at time of posting - 12 kg
Emma - 16/8/07 slightly chubbier than Sarah, but suits same nappies. does wear some medium that Sarah cant but they share large and osfa. not as heavy a wetter as Sarah but can wee heaps when she wants. at time of posting - 9kg
Me - short light periods. Prefer tampons if anyone is making cloth ones? but happy to test cloth pads. dont like to use pads at night as am a tummy sleeper unless they are made with length at the front also. happy to do AIO or in pieces.

Sarah wears nappies for sleeps only, and is very good at holding on for ages then flooding. She is 14kg. Suits wide crotch best.
Em is full time in nappies, does lots of little wees, but is drinking more and weeing more now. She is 11kg. Suits wide crotch best.

-
Aricyn born 10/01/07 - currently 22.5 months - around 12.5kg - skinny hips, no butt and buddha belly - medium sized thighs I suppose. Can be difficult in snaps as seems to be between sizes most times. Still fits mediums and larges. Some larges are too big for him sometimes.
Mehkelti born 02/08/08 - 3.5 months - around 6kg - same shape as her brother - but not really a buddha belly as yet. Fits into smalls and mediums (ittis anyway)
Willing to test anything as long as maker is willing to get honest feedback ;)
