A Me Update
Hi Girls
It is time to give you another update. Yesterday I had o go for another CT scan and today had to go back to the hospital for the result of the CT and another dose of chemo.
The chemo has hit me pretty hard this time. I feel very nauseous, my arms and legs feel like they have been used as a punching bag by a world champ boxer. And I just generally feel very crappy. :boohoo:
But
I DON?T CARE
BECAUSE
After reviewing the CT scan the doctors could not see any sign of cancer.
This does not mean that the cancer has completely gone, but it is a very good sign.
I am going to have some more chemo in 3 weeks. And the doctors are going to discuss my case in their meeting next week.
I will need to have some more tests after that probably have to go to the Austin for these tests.
But things are looking good at the moment.

Alan, that's fantastic news about the positive results - not so fantastic that you feel horrible at the moment though.
Are you being treated at the Austin? I used to work there, many moons ago!
-
Hi Suse
No I am being treated at Ballarat but I have to go to the Austin For a PET scan as they dont do them at Ballarat.
-
What fantastic news Alan!!!!
-
I hope they treat you very nicely there Alan!
Off topic, my folks are not too far from Ballarat - they live in Ararat! My dad is in the ambulance service based at Ararat and transports patients to Ballarat Hospital regularly. Beautiful part of the world - but too bl**dy cold for my liking! ;-)
-
Fantastic news, Alan! I'm so thrilled that you appear to be cancer-free, long may it continue!
-
Oh that's wonderful news Alan  I hope they treat you well at the Austin (stone's throw away from me) have you been there before? it's a big place... joined to the Mercy. Go down into Heidelburg for lunch... too expensive at the hospital cafe. I hope the scan is also all clear!
-

-
Hi Bathsheba
Yes I have been there before, it is where I had my first PET scan. I remember driving down Bell street Preston at 5pm (I have a large 4WD). I think that everyone in Melb know I was going to be on bell street at that time and decided to drive alonge with me. Don't forget I am a country boy and in my town we only have 1 set of trafic lights and rush hour means that you may need to stop for 2 cars before making a right hand turn.
-
The entire world is always on Bell St - if you can survive that you can survive anything!
-
-
Alan, that is fantastic news hun. Like we ever doubted your being able to fight this damn cancer. WTG mate.
I hope you are feeling better very soon.
-
Alan, that's simply awesome news, I've got tears in my eyes!
Keep up that great fighting - after all, I need you in 2010 ;)
