Tish Just to let you know im thinkin of you i know how scary it is when you finally get through the TWW and then get hit with the low betas, but there are lots of positive stories that have come from low betas so dont give up hope :pray:

Tish- Oh my gosh! What a day you've had. That is so much better than a negative. I truly understand that it doesn't feel like it now, but you didn't receive the dreaded BFN. Just keep looking after yourself. Friday must feel like a world away but you have made is this far and it's only a few more days. I truly think this is a good sign. Stay positive. I'm so looking forward to hearing fom you on Friday. I'll be here all week annoying everyone if you need some support.

Oh, Tish, I've been thinking about you all day, hun! I'm glad to hear it's not a BFN, but I know it's going to be a hard one to wait until Friday. Many, many hugs to you, hun. I'm going to be sending you all the warm wishes and thoughts I can, and lots of hope for higher levels on Friday.

My levels at BT today were 25, so I have to have another BT to confirm what's going on too - mine is on Wednesday. My clinic is hoping my levels drop though as today is my third day of heavy bleeding (late AF) and they suspect that I've had a chemical pregnancy.

I can honestly tell you that I understand the feeling of limbo that goes with neither having a BFN or and BFP, and the fact that you just want to have a clear answer now.

Big hugs to you, and I hoping with all my heart that your embryo continues to grow and be healthy.

Dr Lulu! (or anyone else who may know)!!- Any idea what really light period type pain might mean. Been having it for a couple of days. Not painful just aware that it is there.

Hi all, I hope you don't mind me joining you on this thread, my ET (day 3 transfer) was today for our 1st IVF cycle, so we have 1 embie on board !! It was a little slow in getting started at only 4 cell on day 3 but we're hoping it'll pick up now it's in the nursery (as my DH puts it).

As only 1 eggie picked up at EPU we unfortunately don't have any frosties, but really really hoping this will be a lucky first go for us :crossfingers: But I guess - if not, the doctors know to give me more fsh next time!

As this is a new thread I'll need to check back on the old TWW thread to find out where you are all at.

Welcome to the TWW. Hope it is an easy time for you. I too was trying to catch up on where everyone was on their TWW journey and I think most people responded to a message I posted late last night. If you look back on the Jan/Feb TWW thread and read todays posts in response to my message from last night and also lots of my stupid questions from today you will probably catch up on our journeys so far.

Helloooooooo Deni...goodluck!!! I have 2 embies on board and sadly also nothing to freeze..Let's hope in 2 weeks - we wont care!! I'll admit, I found going way back a little daunting so just jumped in here and am starting to get some idea of what is going on.

Ms Bel - NO promises ok??? But when I got pregnant, I got all sorts of weird pains and also had implantation spotting which I thought was early AF at first (and never really believed in it..). I dont want you to go reading anything major into it...but dont be afraid of it either..

Miss C - :pray: all will be good on Friday for you...fingers crossed.

Lulu- Thanks heaps. I just didn't want to freak out and lose all my positive feelings. I'll tell you what though. All these drugs are making me a basketcase. I'm crying at dancing on TV!! You are helping me so much. Enjoy your night.

Thanks everyone for your support yesterday, and for your thoughts and positive vibes. And sorry for no personals! Feel a bit selfish about that. At least it's not a BFN and I have indeed read a lot overnight about low hcg that went on to be a normal healthy pregnancy. So fingers crossed! As my partner says, the universe is just teaching me the patience lesson, AGAIN. lol :wall: So yeah, thanks again - I feel heaps better today, and trying to stay positive! Who knew that you can indeed be half pregnant.

Miss c, so sorry to hear that you're having a tough time :( I have been thinking of you too cos we're cycle buddies - I was sooooo hoping that you were having implantation bleed/cramps! *hugs*

Good Morning All
Hope we are hanging in there. I have a little question and was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this for me.
I am awaiting to start my 1st FET but am awaiting for AF to arrive. I am currently 8 days over due but I have done a HPT when I was one day over due and got a BFN then I did a digital HPT last night and got another BFN. In my previous cycles after an ET I have been late but this has been the latest and I am just a little curious as I am not really experiencing much cramping.
Should I phone the clinic for a BT or maybe do I need to go on the Pill??? Very confused
Read on this thread alot and I see people mention POAS test what is this exactly

Nat - POAS - pee on a stick ie: pregnancy test...
8 days is pretty late my friend. If you are sure about your dates, maybe call the clinic and ask their opinion. FYI - when you do a POAS - esp in the early days - you have to do it with first wee in the morning when it has the highest concentration of HCG. If very early on (preg) you dont have do much in your system so it wont usually show up at night just yet. Ooooh pls test first thing tomorrow...

The first HPT I did was the day after I was due and I did this in the morning and the other I did yesterday after work

Katones- Sounds pretty damn good to me. Tomorrow is so close now. Go to bed early to bring the day sooner!!!! I'm sure you'll have a BFP though. 3 positive POAS sounds exciting. Try to breeze through today. Can't wait to hear tomorrow.

Tish- I'm still thinking of you. I'm glad you read some positive info last night. I find that always helps. Everything is crossed for you.
Nat- I don't want to take away any of your hope but I had the same thing happen to me this cycle. AF arrived 16 days late for me. Torturous! I don't know if you are having acupuncture or not, but I was at my wits ends not getting AF. The clinic I go to said my levels weren't right to start any medication to bring on AF. So on day 44 without AF I went to my first acupuncture appointment, broke down and explained my situation. The acupuncturist said he could bring on AF and within 1 1/2 hours of my treatment AF had arrived. I went back to him 5 days later and said I wanted AF to stop and by the time I had left-GONE! I don't usually get into alternative therapies but I am totally converted now. Honestly it was such an amazing experience. I also find it just helps me to relax a lot. BUT, in rambling on with all that you might be pregnant. Just thought I'd share my story. Let me know how you go.
Lulu- Hope you are having a good day my saviour! I'm feeling pretty good today. Staying positive and strong. Less than a week to go now so I kind of feel like I'm on the home run now. Last cycle though AF came 1 day before my BT. I just dread that again. OH and my best friend made me promise not to do a POAS at all!! I know the temptation on the weekend could possibly kill me!! Will chat to you soon.

Yeah I am not getting my hopes up at all as I think it might be just the drugs wearing off. Are you based in Perth as I am looking for a good accupunturist as I have been to one but wasn't very impressed. The temptation of not POAS is terrible!! Good Luck

Sorry I'm not in Perth. But have you asked your IVF clinic if they recommend someone. The guy I see specialises in fertility issues and was recomended to me by the nurses at the clinic. Also I think there is like an association of acupuncturists that you could call and maybe ask if they know someone in your area who specialises in our field of need!! And don't worry. I also was madly doing POAS's when I was going through the same thing.
See if you can get anywhere with the acupuncture though. It's so worth it.
I found it so crazy that every month I was begging AF not to come and basically would have sold my soul to the devil to have no AF and then this cycle I was begging her to show her ugly head so I could get started again!! CRAZY!!!

What am I doing at work when the nurse gave me a medical certificate covering today as well !! (I thought that was very generous of her, since my job is very sedentary !!!) – but I felt a bit guilty about taking another day off – and just leads to more messages/emails in my intray, right?? :rolleyes:

Bl**dy H*ll ive been so good up til now and i knew this would happen, having a few symptoms BB's definately bigger and not agonisingly sore but definately tender sorry TMI and had a huge wave of nausea this avo, Hubby says he thinks it a BFP this month, but i sooooooo want to test and i dont know if the pregynl will be gone i only had my last shot on sat. I just read my pharmacology text book (studying health science) and it said pregynl should be out of you system within 24 hrs but everything ive read on the internet contridicts that :wall:

Nat if you look up the acupuncture asscossiation they will give you registered practioners in Perth, try ACNM if you want student prices and they are over seen by some really great proffesionals i studied there for awhile and they can be really good.

Well I am back for my third FET - had it today. Found out I lost an embryo on the way in jan that no one ever bothered to tell me about.
This embbie was the worst they have been only split to 6 cells - but stranger things have happened.
Not feeling too crazily optomistic after the past 3 failures....

Scooby - dont do it...not yet. I had the horrible agony of getting false positives after Pregnyl - learn from my mistakes...it's not pleasant. If you had Pregnyl Saturday then I wouldnt test till earliest Thurs or Friday. I still was showing faint positives 4 and 5 days later...it's pretty hard to handle. Now I know what to expect...and if the line gets darker - its great...sadly mine kept fading...

Me - well today is day 4 after ET. My last pregnyl tonight - YAY. Feeling nada. Keep running to the toilet hoping to find a little transplantation spotting, but alas so far nothing. I guess because I had it the once doesnt mean I'll have it again.

Sorry MM i gave into the POAS early this morning, it is a positive but im keeping my head screwed on about it and really not excited as i know the concequences, my reasoning is that i will test again friday and if its fainter ill know it the pregnyl if its stronger i will know its not. AF is due friday as well and BT is sat so we will see, but dont worry im not celebrating havent even told DH.
I dont think im going to truly get excited till i get the betas done im so fearful of another ectopic (although my left tube was removed, some fibroids were taken off my right tube, so im worried there might be scarring), ive decided not tell anyone if i do get a bfp (apart from DH) until 12 weeks, i couldnt stand all the silly comments last time and to be honest i think my mum was more upset than i was so i dont want to put her through all that again.
Well hopefully everyone is doing great today. I have given my self the project of booking a holiday, such a great distraction :lol: Catch you all later

Hi ladies, I`ve been lurking for a while and I`m not sure if I should be here as I`m not assisted conception. I had a reversal in June 06 and fell pg in Sep 07 and saddly lost my little angel in Nov.
My question is If my cycle is 33 days and I ovulate on day 14 the TTW does`nt apply to me does it ?
I poas on 16 dpo and got a BFN and now I`m starting to go crazy.. you ladies seem to know what your talking about so any advice would be appreciated.

Lulu- My name is Bel and I'm a procrastinator- shall I POAS or shall I not POAS!!!! I know- what a ridiculous promise! Yay for the last pregnyl. You must be over it big time. This is driving me crazy. Just wish I could have a whole hour of not thinking about this. How do I get through another 5 days?? I'll just keep annoying you!!. Have a great day...
Scooby- Oh you gave in... I hope you are ok. I am agonising about whether to POAS or not. I just could not deal with either outcome. I think to POAS again on Fri is a good idea. I understand the whole not telling people thing. When I had my ectopic I was just so sick of explaining it to people and yeah my mum was so upset for me too. When are you off on holiday?? Any ideas where to?? HOW EXCITING!! I wish I had a project at the moment. Try not to think about the POAS result- so hard for me to say I know. Have a good day.

Hey One more so sorry about your lost angel:( i Guess yours is more like a 3 week wait im really not sure when you would get a result, in saying that as soon as the embryo implants in the endometrium it starts producing HCG which is what HPT pick up implantation is usually 6-10 days from ovulation so it wouldnt really matter how long the luteal phase actually is. I would guess then by 16 days you should be showing some HCG in there (:redface: sorry probably not what you want to hear) but i am NO doctor, can you get blood testing done ?

Going to the gold coast, we normally go skiing in NZ in august, but as i figure im going to be pregnant:lol: i decided we better plan something else. We can only live in hope right.

Onemore - sorry I am so bad with dates. Because I have IVF - i dont have to think. They tell me what to do, when to do it and when AF is due - makes me feel so blonde sometimes. So sorry about your m/c..

i just wish AF would come so I can deal with it. Its hard cause I want her to come so I will know whats going on but also I dont because its just another reminder of what could have been had everything gone well.

Scooby- No it's not just you. I analyse everything too. Right now my BB's are killing me and I'm thinking 'is it the drugs or could I really be pregnant'!! And yeah, you will be pregnant so safer to stay in Aus. Gee I would LOVE a holiday but my time will come soon.

Lulu- No I'm not a Libran, I'm a scorpian- but don't hold that against me!! And yeah I probably would do the POAS behind my best friends back. She has a beautiful 10 month old daughter who my DH and I are godparents to. I'm sure all of us here on this journey realise it's just so hard to explain to

Bel we are not telling people either, and after this week I'm oh so glad about that. It was hard enough having to answer qtns from the 3 or 4 people that do know!

All is OK here, in fact the this week has passed faster than last - I almost even made an appointment at the same time as my BT on friday! Guess it's good that I'm distracted. DH emails me every 5 mins with another article he's found on the web that makes him positive it's possible I'm pregnant. It's helping me to feel positive too.

I'm over analysing everything - for the past 2 weeks I've struggled to get to 5pm and have a Nanna nap after work. I went to bed last night at 6pm out of habit and was just lying there trying to figure out what was wrong. I wasn't tired in the slightest!! I hope that's not a bad sign... I haven't even been feeling that sick this week. My tummy and BB are still quite swollen, but then again I have been having many deep and meaningful conversations with tim tams lately. LOL

I'm considering doing POAS tonight to see if the line has gotten stronger or disappeared altogether. I've got a thousand meetings on Friday and don't want to break down at work (again). Or I'll get the nurse to call DH and swear him to secrecy until after work.

Sorry for babbling, guess I'm just as obsessed as ever!!

Hey does anyone know if a raised temperature is significant? I don't have a fever and feel otherwise well but my temp is def up.

pls do POAS first thing in the morning and not at night - makes a big difference. I feel so good about this....am sure all going well. Believe me when I tell you we all over-analyse everything. Yesterday I was yawning all afternoon. Now being realistic I know it cant be because of pregnancy yet...but the imagination will still over-rule realism everytime..

Bel - you are just devine...we will definately play bellybelly mummies together!!

Tish- If Dr Lulu says raised temp is good then I say believe her. I also agree to do the POAS first thing in the morning. My mum is a nurse and totally agrees with this too. It's great to hear you so strong. I think its a good idea to get your DH to take the call on Friday if you have to work.

Lulu- Can't wait to play bellybelly mummies with you. We'll be just a few days apart! Are you working at the moment? I'm unable to work cause of my job so am at home just having some time for myself. Enjoying my TV big time and reading some good books. It's nice to relax but hard not having anything to take my mind off things. My DH has this week off as well but is out and about paying bills etc. and begging medicare for some money!!! Over-analysing is what I do best at the moment (Oh and procrastinating over POAS), I'm not a sicko but keep touching my BB's. Man are they sore- but I do know that could be the drugs. So I get the yawning thing..
