Hi Guys,
I haven't posted for a while but thought this might be good time to get back into it!
I hope you and your respective bundles of joy are cruising along nicely.
Sarah is doing well. Sleeping 9 hours straight every night (apart from last night when she pooed at 2am!) and having 6 breastfeeds per day.
Have you guys given any thought to when you might try solids?
Sarah is 4 months old on the 19th and I don't think she ready just yet but I'm not sure she'll make it to 6 months without something more substantial than milk.
She's such a chubby little thing (6.8kg) and has just started laughing out loud, picking up toys, trying to sit up on her own etc, but she hates tummy time and won't have a bar of it.
Anyway, that's our update, I can't wait to catch up with everyone else! :D
PS Mod, can you update Sarah's details say that she wore the hip harness for 5 weeks. Having follow up x rays until walking. Ta.x

All updated for you Layla and good to see you posting back in the Baby Buddy forums

Hi Layla and Kate!
Layla - I started giving Al a little bit of rice cereal in the morning from the day after his 4 month birthday. He seemed to be looking for something more, in my opinion. And I think I did the right thing, he enjoys it so much that he is grabbing the plate afterwards to eat it as well!
Last night Al had a bottle of formula for the first time. He had his milk feed with DH while I was at shcool, then was apparently crying for more. So he had another 100mls of formula. He still did his usual wake up times of around 11 and 3 for his feeds (little greedy guts). He did something unusual and just vomited now most of his 7am feed, so he was full of milk! No rice until later today.
I thought he might sleep longer with the formula in his belly :-k
Layla we have only had 2 nights where he slept through the 3am feed and didn't wake up until the morning.
Kate - are you stil doing Baby Boot Camp? I am only managing one exercise class a week, so I feel quite unfit. I can't wait to get to the beach when I come to Oz. How's Kelsey, I look forward to catching up. :D
-
Hi July Buddies,
Kathryn, great idea to change the format. It was so hard to keep up so I just gave up but I did miss everyone's news.
I am back at work full time and only have 2 hrs with Amy at night so my BB time is limited. Amy is doing really well and she slept for 12 hours last night. She has been sleeping through from 7:30 till 8am for about 3-4 weeks and it is great and she would wake for an 11pm 'dream' feed. We now give her a big bottle at 5pm, feed her at 8pm and she goes till the morning. She usually stirs at 5am and moves around the cot but she stays in bed till 8am. DH is a SAHD and doing a fantastic job! Amy sleeps on her belly and can't roll back yet but rolls easily on her belly.
Layla - Great to hear Sarah is doing well and that she didn't have the harness on for long. We are starting Amy on rice cereal on Sat as she has been watching us eat intently for a few weeks. We are going to take it slow but she is definately ready. Isn't it the best when they laugh! Amy does belly laughs and it is great.
Kate - A pesonal trainer you should be fit and lose weight in no time. Are you still TTC in Dec/Jan? We are starting this month CD14 and should be O in the next day or two - well we have started TTC.
Deb - I haven't caught up on the 3-6mth thread, when are you coming to Oz?
Look forward to keeping up now with my baby buddies so will chat soon. DH is out walking the dogs, Amy is in bed so it's a perfect time to post.
-
Gemma, I agree, this format should be much easier to keep up with.
I can't believe you are TTC again already! Good on you. I couldn't imagine being pg again so soon, but then I couldn't imagine being pg ever again full stop! [-( We've definately finished.
It sounds like Amy is doing great! Sarah isn't rolling yet, but then my other kids weren't big rollers either. They just sat up and crawled!
Kate, I admire you for being so commited to getting into shape. I keep saying "tomorrow" but then I go and buy a block of Top Deck chocolate! 8-[
I'm glad Kelsey has settled into a routine for you, it makes life so much easier doesn't it?
Deb, I know how hard it is to have a bub who won't sleep through. My other two were like that. I don't know what it is with Sarah but I think maybe I'm just lucky. I really appreciate how good she is and I'm so [-o< that she continues to sleep so well.
Are you going to keep going with the formula?
When Sarah was about 9 weeks old I read both Gina Ford and Tracey Hogg's books. I picked the bits that I thought made sense from each book and combined them to come up with a sleep/feed routine that works for us. Sarah took to it straight away. I've managed to bring her last feed at night forward to 10am so we get 9 hours straight from 10pm- 7am.
(I know some of you were discussing these books a while back.)
We also bought the Fisher Price Ocean Wonders Aquarium for Sarah's cot and it's been the best thing! She falls asleep every time looking at the fish swimming around!
Can you tell I'm quite impressed with my little girl being so good? LOL
It's such a change for me, my older two kids were hopeless at going to sleep on their own and didn't sleep for more than a couple of hours at a time in their cots.
After hearing what you guys are doing I think I'll try Sarah on some rice cereal on the weekend and see what she thinks. I'm also going to let her have a go at drinking some cooled boiled water out of a cup. (I bought the Heinz 4 months + cup.)
I hope you are all having a good day! :D
-
Deb, I just checked out your website!
Al is so gorgeous!
What beautiful eyes! :D

Great to hear you are all enjoying the new format. I think it has been well received across most of the forums.
I have updated your details for you Caz.

Kate- Sean is our eldest, he's 10. Then we have Kate (Katherine really) who is 7 and a half. (She keeps telling me the "half" counts!)
We had decided two was enough but then when Kate was about 5 I started to think maybe one more would be nice.
It took a while to finally take the plunge but Sarah is finally here and I'm so incredibly glad that we had the guts to do it again. The big age gap is great too. It's nice to see the older kids interact with her, and they are so in love with her. It's like she has 4 parents sometimes.
I totally understand how you feel about your weight/shape. I'm trying to be good and lose weight but being at home more these days it's all too easy to snack throughout the day. I didn't put on much weight while pg (and lost it all immediately) but I was about 5kg overwight to start with. #-o
Good luck TTC, I really hope it all happens easily for you.
Hi Caz! :D Can I ask, what is torticollis?
I'm a bit worried about Sarah actually. She has a chesty cough, (no runny nose or temp) and she's not very happy. She's also been pooing every couple of hours and seems to be finding it a bit distressing. (Not constipated though.) I might take her to a doctor in the morning.
-
Layla - torticollis is where the muscles in one side of the nexk are weak so the baby tilts their head to one side and not the other. We noticed it in Cole at 4months, he always turned to the right, never the left, and the dr checked him out & said it was torticollis. So we just have to do a few exercises with him to help the muscles stretch and strengthen on his left, and do lots of tummy time and playing on his left side to encourage him to look that way. After a week he seemed better already, now he seems totally fine.
Kate - great idea to do your own firsts book, can i have a squizz too?
xxxCaz
-
hi fellow mums with 4 monthers.
oscar and i might join you guys in here i found the other forum a bit confusing too.
hi layla so nice to catch up again. glad sarah is doing so well and that the hip thingy has sorted itself out now.
caz that's great the exercises are working for cole's neck. that must have been scarey for you initially.
kate that's amazing kelsey is pulling her legs up already that is a sign of almost ready to crawl isn't it?
gemma you're amazing back at work again. it's great amy is doing so well how are you?
deb when are you coming back to the land of oz - soon?
oscar had some screaming going on the last couple of days took him to the dr and she couldn't find anything so she referred him to the emergency dept. he was diagnosed with an ear infection poor bubba. none of my bubbas were this sick so young. he is on antibiotics (cringe - he really needs them) finally today he has stopped screaming in pain and is his usual happy, placid self - thank goodness. he is breastfeeding on demand still and i haven't introduced solids yet. layla you said sarah is 6.8kg well oscar is a whole kilo lighter he's only 5.8kg - he is a feather weight. he is rolling all over the place and has been for a few weeks - i didn't realise this was early. looking forward to getting to know you all.

-
poor kelsey what's with the pooh playing hide and seek! i hope you find something to help her kate that's horrible is there baby laxatives?
beckles
-
Oh poor Kelsey. Kate, give her lower back a nice rub and make it warm there, it might help her relax to her bowel a bit. Not much else to suggest. Its something that will pass, so :hugs: for you for now.
Hi Bec, sorry to hear about Oscar's ear infection and what a stress out for you to end up in the ER with your little one. Poor little love. Glad that he's on the mend now. What a champ to be rolling everywhere!
Al has managed tummy to back about 5 times now, very randomly and accidently. He is bringing knees in and he is also moving backwards, when lying on his tum. Another new thing is he's begun fighting with his toys! crying and pulling at them and eating them, it all looks terribly frustrating for him. I am reading it as either hunger, tiredness or teething. Maybe all 3? Who knows?
We don't drive a car here, although we have one, it isn't something one uses day to day when you live in this town. People are either on a bike or pushing a pram. Well from the beginning Al has not enjoyed being put into the pram. And to this day, when I put him in I get screaming for at least 5 minutes. Then he's right. Asleep usually or lying there. But its SO stressful. I'm sure the neighbours think I must be killing the baby, he is so loud!! Really! His scream is blood curdling! I have tried a lot of different ways to get him in the pram, but he seems to feel he has to protest. So stubborn! But we are in it everyday, for a walk. I wish he would stop doing that though!
Beckles and Gemma, we will be in Sydney by mid December. Then Adelaide for Xmas and back to Sydney for the whole of Jan. Can't wait! It's bloody freezing here suddenly.
Caz - great that you were able to get Cole's neck muscles strenghtened with the exercises. Good on you!!
Layla - we intend to keep giving bubby some formula. Mainly because I am not able to express enough for him when I'm at school at night. Last night, DH mixed formula with EBM! I told him not to do it because I didn't read it as something to do anywhere! He is just too creative sometimes!!!
You're lucky Sarah is so good and got into a great sleeping routine so well. I think Al with his colic in the first few months has learnt some terrible sleeping habits. I have tried Gina's routines too but it just couldn't work for him. He does go to bed at 7 amd wake at 7 generally. But everything in between is a bit random (except for bedtime routine).
Gotta go - mum is on Skype.
-
Beckles- I've missed you girl! It's so good to hear that Oscar is doing well. (Apart from the ear infection.) How are Josh and Zak doing?
I'd love to see a photo of Oscar if you have time. :D
Sarah is quite "ample" (as my neighbour politely told me, better than saying fat I suppose!) just like my other two were as babies. It's funny though considering that when we were pg the doc's were telling you you were having a mammoth baby and I was having a little tiddler.
Caz - Thanks for the explanation. I know someone else whose baby has the same thing, I just didn't know that's what it was called. I'm glad it all seems to have sorted itself out anyway.
Kate - Sarah is okay thanks. We did take her to the doc just to be sure she didn't have any sort of infection but it turns out she's fine. The cough will just have to go away on it's own and the doc seemed to think that the reason for her funny poos and tummy pains could be something I ate or a hormonal change in me. I didn't think that was likely but then this afternoon lo and behold- AF turns up for the first time since having Sarah!
I'm amazed that it can affect my milk like that! I wonder if it will happen every month. :-k
Poor little Kelsey, being all bunged up like that. I'm so glad she got it out. Hopefully she'll be alright now. It must have been awful watching her like that.
Deb-Sarah does the fighting with the toys thing too! LOL. I find it's when she's had the same toy for more than a couple of minutes and gets bored/ frustrated with it. It's definately worse when she's tired though.
I can also relate to the hating the pram thing. Sarah was like that for ages but she's so much better since we've sat her up more. She will not lie in her pram unless she's fallen asleep sitting up and I lay it down without her noticing. I think she's just too nosey to lie down in it, she wants to see what's going on.
Have you put some toys in the pram to distract Al while you put him in?
I guess he'll get over it eventually.
LOL @ your DH mixing the EBM and formula! Did Al like it?
I know we are lucky with Sarah's sleep/ feed routine. Gina's routine was too strict for us and Sarah needs one more feed per day than Gina allows, but I did learn alot from her book. I still believe, though, that you have to do whatever feels right and works for you and your baby, even if it's nothing like "the books".
It sounds (and looks) like you guys are doing a great job! :D
Anyway, better go and get the kids to bed, I want to do some Christmas present wrapping tonight.
-
Finally back again.
That's great about Kelsey's poo Kate - I didn't see your edit until now. IKWYM about being happy with a poo. :)
Gemma - sounds like Amy is doing really well. Wonderful that you are working and DH is doing a great job being a SAHD. I hope Amy enjoys the solids as much as Al is over here.
Layla - good to know Sarah is having the same dramas with her toys now and then too! I agree tiredness plays a big part. Thanks for the tips with the pram. I will try distracting him with a toy - good idea. I have tried sitting him up and it didn't seem to make a difference.
It is getting very cold here and he is quite bundled in there. So perhaps he is simply feeling too warm, until we get moving in the cold air. I think he'll enjoy sitting up in it a lot more next month when he can spread out and soak up some warm summer air in Australia.
Thats nice of you to compliment Al's eyes. He is often told 'what big eyes you have' or 'he has such soulful eyes' when people meet him. Of course I agree!
Its cool to finally be able to catch up with everyone's news!
I think this (4 months) is such a cute age. :)
-
kate i'm glad kelsey had her pooh poor bubba. no more constipation for babys
deb i hope to go to sweden with just oscar in jan. i have relos there and i have just found out i have another brother who is 60 (father's whoopsy before he came out here and married my mum 1 year later) as if i need another brother isn't 6 enough now i have 7!!!!!

caz i just realised that cole and oscar are twins!
well oscar is alot better today happy and his usual placid self - yay no more crying. ok gotta go and play with kids and dh they have started a game of hide and seek it's not fair oscar gives me away!

Hi all!
beckles - WOOHOO for 1st of July babies! Was Oscar due on teh 1st? Cole was, I couldn't believe he was born on his EDD! Arent our boys clever being born on the first day of the financial year? Makes life easier dont you think? Now I dont have to count how many days of the year and all that stuff for our tax returns!
Kate - poor Kelsey, constipation sucks! My mum tells me that when I was a little baby I was constipated a lot, to the point of having to go to hospital and getting it flushed out 8-[ She used to lay me over her knees and rub my lower back and bum with moisturising cream like a massage to help bring it down. She also gave me lots of fruit, is Kelsey on fruit yet or just cereal? She might just be getting clogged up with the formula & cereal in her system maybe...what formula are you on? Hope if sorts itself out soon!
sunbeam koala - that must be really annoying your baby doesnt want to be in the pram, especially if you dont drive much! Cole used to be fine in it, and I would take him to uni in it and he would nap and everything - until he hit 3months and now he refuses to nap in it and doesnt want it lying down either, but in the upright position! They can be so stubborn cant they?

Yes, Sarah is a cutie Layla! That 2 week old shot is priceless!
And Caz, just checked your site too. Really sweet to see the kids together like that. :)
Beckles - Sweden in Jan! Fantastic! But it will be freezing hon. Take lots of warm stuff for both of you. Are you planning on doing the trip with your DP? We are a bit nervous about the long flight (Al is a screamer LOL).
And you have 7 brothers! That is extraordinary! Do you have sisters too?
Hi Fletch :D
I have MIL coming tomorrow for 3 days, so wish me luck. Better get back to study and stop procrastinating.
-
deb bloody cold in jan i know. but it's the only time DH has time off to mind boys (he went to england last year so my turn this year). i lived in sweden when i was a kid for a while and i couldn't believe how mild their summers were and how cold their winter are. usually i visit only midsummer - hmmm maybe i'll wait til june! i have 3 sisters by the way.
31 nieces and nephews and 5 great nieces and nephews!
fletch how are you sweets. so good to catch up again. how's zane - besides cute!
layla i would love to post a photo but have no idea how to! i am hopeless at that sort of thing. trust me he's gorgy.
how's everyone else today?
love beckles
-
Fletch, yay, you're here. I missed you too! :D
All my babies were bald until they were about 18 months old! I think it's hilarious, it's the only time in your life you can be bald, fat and toothless and everyone thinks you're beautiful! LOL
Glad to hear Zane is doing so well. I'm off to check his website next.
Deb, I'm sure Al will love the Aussie sunshine. I bet you can't wait.
Thanks for lookng at Sarah's pics!
Beckles, I have always got AF back quickly after having babies. This time is the longest actually! I feel a bit ripped off really, I thought breatfeeding was meant to hold it off.
Can you email a pic to me? Glad Oscar is all better now.
Wow, all those relatives, I hope you don't buy for all of them at Christmas!
We are having a quiet day at home today, for a change. I seem to have spent all last week rushing around. Sarah is still pooing every hour. Arrrgghh.
-
Fletch, Zane is so cute, such a happy looking baby!
Sarah always frowns when we whip the camera out but Zane obviously loves it!
-
layla i can't access your email address can you let me know what it is and i'll send you a photy of the prince

all done layla i sent one of the boys with oscar as well. they were taken today so are really up to date!

Kate - sorry to hear Kelse is not sleeping. It will pass!! Easy to say in the bright hours of day, I know. Last night we had a bit of unsettledness, besides the usual here too. Al was wide awake between feeds and not wanting to sleep. I ended up leaving a little night light on in the end so he could lie there in his cot and look at his cousins photos on the wall. I got back to sleep and I guess he did too eventually.
Do you think its teeth? Its so frustrating at times not knowing. I hope you can both get some rest tonight.
Beckles - June sounds like a better time for traveling over here. What a big family, how wonderful for you! I have 3 sisters and a brother and I love having a big gang of us. But its a small gathering in comparison!
Back to cleaning up...
-
fletch sent you photys! wow zane is heaps heavier than oscar. Congrats Zane - rolling - clever monkey.
kate i hope this means kelsey is back to sleeping. oscar sleeps with us every night we lurve it.
deb cleaning up hmmm i feel guilty. i just like playing mummys and babys and going on BB. cleaning indeed.

fletch i am glad zane is gaining now it's too dangerous if they are losing to muck around i reckon. oscar has been a slow gainer like around 500grams a month so was only 5.5 kg at 4 months but as long as he's gaining i'm happy. of course the mchn is pushing for him to start solids early but that's not gonna happen! i'll start him when he's 6 months just after christmas. how cute zane holding his bottles.... oscar is holding toys well now too. they are so clever - gifted or brilliant i say!

Thanks so much for the photo Beckles, your boys are all adorable! :D
Fletch, Zane is doing so well now isn't he? That's a great weight!
Sarah sucks her thumb too (either hand at the moment) she's been doing it since she was in-utero. She does have a dummy too as she can't get her thumb in her mouth when she's crying.
I'm left haded and DH is right handed, but his dad is a lefty. Sean and Kate are both right handed but I have a feeling Sarah might be lefty. She always reaches for things with her left hand.
Kate and Deb, here's hoping for a better nights sleep for both of you tonight.
I'm still having to get up to Sarah at 2am to change a seriously pooey nappy! I wish she'd stop doing it, it's been a week now.

Hi gals,
sorry about not being around a bit more...this internet plan thingy is messing with my BB time!! The useage meter currently says 99% used up, so this might kick it over the line! DH told me that it is 15c every 1meg downloaded after the 100% is used. Next month we are back to unlimited, thank god.
I missed the fact that we have changed over to these new threads, so I haven't read the last part of the old threads and have skimmed this new one. So apologies to everyone for not many personals.
Hi Layla. Good to see you back! :smt039
Pup is getting weighed next Friday so I'll update you all on his weight etc then. He is still not rolling unlike most of your babies. Somedays he looks like he is just about to roll over and then gives up. Then other days, he doesn't even try. Sigh. Oh well.
Sleeping continues to go very well for us. For the past 2 months, he has been sleeping through the night (well, not waking me for anything anyway!), although last week he woke nearly every night for a feed somewhere between 1 and 4am. But he goes straight back down and sleeps for another 5 hours so that's good. For the past couple of nights he hasn't stirred, so maybe that was just a breif phase that has passed???
Pooing for us is a weekly event and then on the day that it does come, it comes with a vengence. That was yesterday. I got 4 poos in one day. And I'll have nothing for another week.
Who was it that is TTC again now? Kate? Gemma? Good to hear. Our sex life has advanced with baby steps and I guess that given that we are not being careful or using any contraception then you could say that we are TTC again from now as well. Although, there is no sign of AF, so I have no idea if I am Oing or not. Question: if you don't get AF, how do you know when you are Oing? I have only used OPUs once (to double check and confirm my O day) but that was b4 I got pg and was when I had AF arriving regularly. If OPUs are still what I should use, how do I know when to use them? Cause aren't they used on a day based on the length of your AF cycle? Any advice?? Anyway, we need to be having a lot more sex for me to fall pg again at any rate!!! LOL
Have I mentioned that my SIL has announced she is pg? This is good news, because for years she has suffered with an overactive thyroid problem and it has recently resulted in her having the thyroid removed. Whilst she was on heaps of tablets etc, she was told not to get pg. But a month after the operation, she got pg and she is now due in May. Hopefully I'll be pg myself by then.
We are not starting Pup on solids until after Xmas either. He is totally NOT interested in watching us eat and looking at food and he seems to be totally satisfied on entirely BM, which is both good and handy for me! Occasionally, my milk supply dwindles a bit, but I feed more regularly (to stimulate milk production) and I also fall back on Fenugreek capsules and maxalon tabs when feeling very low. These help me. But I guess if AF doesn't show and I don't fall pg by say March, I may have to start to wean off BM and supplement any solids we are feeding with both BM and formula. We'll see.
So, I was watching something the other day and they said that it is something like 36 sleeps until Xmas. OMG. It is coming around so fast. It only seems like a month ago I had Pup and now I've blinked and he is coming up 5 months!
Tomorrow DH and I are going to the photographer to pick up some photos and to view others recently taken. We are also going to start to organised which ones we want enlarged and framed in time for Xmas for grandparents presents.
I have to have a major overhaul of Pups website. It is still pretty much my pg website but I have just been bunging photos of the boy on there. I need to create his own one now. I'll have to wait until next month so I can get on the internet and not incur any additional costs (bloody limited useage  )
Well, I'd best choof off. Again, sorry for no personals. I'll check back in when I can.

Hi!
Quick post while MIL is snoring, I mean, sleeping.
Beckles, I was only cleaning to try and make a good impression for the MIL visit. But I turned around to find her dusting one of our lampshades earlier, so I musn't have been thorough enough! [-X
And wouldn't you know it..just as I finally get a second to sit to post on BB...bub wakes.
-
DH's sister. I'm an only child.
I'll check out that link you posted after this.
Our internet useage is now at 121%. Oops. And it is me that has taken it over the limit today. I have not long gotten hooked on scrapbooking and I have been searching a number of sites looking for some blasted particlaur paper. I saw it in a mag and have clicked on all the links, but can't find it! Grrr. Anyways, I manged to hook onto a linkt hat took me to a site that runs a site of forums exactly the same as this, but for scrapbooking people!!! It is exactly the same layout! Spooky!!
On baby stuff, Pup has now found his penis!!!!! =D> Yep, everytime his nappy is off, he reaches down and pulls it for all its worth!!! Now I have the added thing of him putting the bum cream in his mouth when his hands return to his gob!!! GREAT.
Best go. I'm tired and it's late. The internet is addictive. 8-[

Hayseed - maybe you could get an unlimited download option, might work out cheaper for you, that is, if you have to pay an excess over normal usage. Sounds like you've found a new hobby in scrapbooking. Are you making a book for the baby? Or is that a silly question?
Cute that Pup has found his willy and is already playing with it at 4 months! Boys!
We r also TTC, well sort of, similar to you Hayseed. In an 'immaculate conception' sort of way. :) I am keen for another one soon as possible. DH is keen for a girl and I am not fussy, as I love my little boy, so to have a whole bunch of boys would be cool too. We are BDing at times when 'I' say its more likely we will have a girl! :) Which isn't such a lot LOL!
MIL is still here. Next to me right now. She is sweet. But a bloody loud snorer and we are all in one room here. (Sounds primitive I realise, but its a studio apartment, and so very cosy :-#) So once I'm awake with the baby its hard to sleep again for the noise from her. #-o
She has been babysitting while I have been at school at night (DH is away for work).
Last week, some of you may recall DH gave formula with EBM to the bub. Went down well with him, but not with me!
Tonight MIL gave Al his 'Farax' with EBM in his bottle! #-o He also liked it, but.... but!!!!! He was supposed to have the EBM in the bottle and the Farax in a bowl with a spoon. Is it so hard???? LOL
Anyway..back to normal tomorrow for me. DH is back late on Friday.

And it gets worse...(need to vent)
The MIL snoring was so bad this night I think I slept only 1 hour. The baby was also waking every 2 hours and he is so tired that he's back in bed now at 7am when he's usually awake. I can't even sleep now because she is still snoring! Bknsmdnejkwjfbcwecdnerjwdnwlkjdncfw!!!!!
AND.....the other thing that kept me up half the night was that I discovered MIL had given DS a bath. Which is fine, DH usually does this. But the towel she used one that is found on the FLOOR of the bathroom! WTF?!!!!! Did she really think the baby's towel would be the one lying on the floor? I had even showed her where the clean linen for bubs was stored. AND there is an obvious looking baby towel HANGING in the bathroom. I feel so bad the little Al was dried with the floor mat. I never want to leave him with her again, I'm so annoyed about that. What was she thinking?
Deep breath.
Al was sleeping in my bed tonight and he was wet through his clothes to the sheets this morning for the first time. I have no idea why, but maybe she didn't centre his willy in the nappy or put it on properly. Poor little love. He also was wearing his street clothes to bed because she couldn't manage the little clips in his pyjamas.
I think that's it. Sorry for the rant. Need a cuppa tea.
Oh yeah, one more thing. Did I mention she brought her dog with her?
I am going to be cleaning for the next week! ](*,)

Hi girls,
Beckles, Sarah and I are fine thankyou. :D
I hope your boobs don't get any worse. Has Oscar been feeding more frequently, or less? Dunno about that one.
Hayseed, great to hear how you and Pup, sorry.. Thomas (still can't get used to that) are doing. Don't worry, Sarah isn't rolling yet either.
How did the photos turn out?
I've decided to put off starting solids until Sarah is 6 months old.
You have done so well with the breastfeeding (I've been reading your posts), good on you for sticking with it. =D>
Deb, What can I say? MIL's, you gotta love 'em. I had to laugh reading about the antics that have been going on at your place but I can imagine how angry you must be. Deep breaths.........
Hi Fletch, Kate & Gemma!
Sarah is still pooing green stuff at all hours of the day and night. I spoke to the lactation consultant who thinks maybe she's lactose sensitive. Doesn't explain why it's only happened in the last few weeks though. She's had nothing but breast milk since she was born.
I have to limit my dairy and chocolate (OMG) intake and see what happens. The lactation consultant also said NO solids until 6 months, and keep a close eye on her weight gain. (Not that that's been a problem for my little roly poly puddin')
I am a bit worried. She still has a phlegmy cough too but she doesn't seem to care, still smiles her way through the day.
(Couple of new pics on the website.)
Anyway, love to you all.
PS I'm excited, *Michelle* is coming to stay with me for a few days next week, we've never met before but talk on the phone all the time.
-
Hooray - she has gone! Bloody MIL! Even tried to stay a couple of extra days cheeky woman, but I insisted that I WILL BE OK! Thank God. I am so drained and I really feel like I could smoke a packet of cigarettes. But I won't - cos I don't smoke and I don't have any and Al is in bed...hummf.
I can laugh about it too, now she's gone! :)
It is cool that she's interested in Al, and they love each other. So I know I will endure the snoring again, but its so difficult to trust her with the baby after these few days. I approached her about the towel and she said she didn't use it, just to clear her name on that. But I was so worried about it all night. Blah!
Gotta study. Thanks for the supportive words girls.
Beckles - what is TTFN? Hope ur boobs are alright. What's causing that? Are you pregnant? I had sore boobs when I was first preggers.
Layla - sorry about Sarah's green poo and that you have to cut back on dairy and chocolate. Hope it goes yellow again soon. Cool you are having a BB visitor! How exciting to meet for the first time in RL! Is she bringing Alexander and Kimberley? (how random that I know the names of the kids of the people on this forum off the top of my head! I wonder how many of us could do that? Probably quite a lot!)
Hugs to Kate, Gemma, Fletch, Hayseed and your babes. Hope you all have it good there.
:)

Welcome Smurfette and little William, looking forward to getting to know you! :D
Deb, Yipee, she's gone. It's good you asked her about the towel.
Now you can relax.
LOL @ knowing the kids names. It's amazing how well we all get to know each other isn't it. No, Michelle isn't bringing them with her. It's just her and Paul for the first night then he goes home and she stays with me for two more nights. It would have been great to meet the little ones, maybe next time. I want her to enjoy a break from her kids but she'll have to put up with mine! #-o
Oh, and TTFN is "ta ta for now". Tigger says it.
Fletch, I'll make sure Sarah gets her hug!
Good idea getting the shutters for Zane's room. I've been wondering about that too.
That's so sweet that you guys get so emotional at Zane, DH and I are the same with Sarah. So in awe of her sometimes.
I don't want to speak to soon...but Sarah hasn't coughed once today, and her poo was more yellowy than it has been for ages!
-
Layla Glad to hear the poo's are less green, and the mucous is lessening, I had the same prob with the twins, and as long as I limited my dairy they were fine, so fingers crossed evrything works out.
Deb, sooo sorry you have issues with MIL, glad that you can have a break now ( if you call homework a break, dont know how you do it I havent studied for 14 yrs!!!LOL)
Welcome smurfette, and William
Fletch, how gorgeous, I wish Dion was a "cheerier" fella, doesnt laugh or smile often, and it takes ages to get one small chuckle, never mind. Youve got your tree up already?? We dont put ours up until after the big girls b'day ( 2nd dec)
Hayseed, believe me once they start moving its the beginning of the end IYKWIM!!! They grow up wayyy to fast! Cool that youve got into scrappin' I think its kids that get you started, I've been going for 6 yrs now, and have 9 kids albums so far ( and sooooo much to catch up on, have barely done any since Dion was born)
Kate, hows the sleep deprivation?? sucks dont it, I hope you get some much needed zz soon!!
Gemma, hi there!! how are you and Amy going??
Beckles, I hope you sort out whats going on with the bb.
Well shock horror am actually still trying to find my feet, 4 kids is busy ( 3 wasnt bad!!) I think its the two littlies its hard going to shops, or the clothes line or anything!!! as it seems either one or the other needs to sleep, or feed etc etc, it was actually easier with the twins !!!
Dion had a MHN visit today an actually didnt put on any weight in last 4 weeks ( or 10 gms!!) now is 7880, BUT MHN not worried, coz he had a growth spurt and is 64.5 length ( 4 cm more than a month ago) and HC is 41.5 ( 2.5 cm up) We have to see the paed again next week about his chest ( which doesnt seem to have improved) the ventolin did a little to help, but not a great deal. Gladly he is now sleeping most nights til 5 am, still has a wake every hour night every 3-4, but the other nights help make up for this :D Will catch you all again later , the girls have their ballet concert tomorrow!!!!
