storm have you fallen pregnant since your reversal and how long ago did you have it done?
my doctor wants to send me in for a "look and see" and while there they will just remove my clamps.
he said this way I can beat the medicare system and have it done in a public hospital.
I have Just had alot of tests -Pap test and heaps of blood tests so after the results come back my doctor plans to send me to a gyno up here for the "look and see".

Emily had a whole day dry today with no accidents " praying for the same tomorrow"...
mumof6 - is breah on the formula or breast ? I could never breast feed as my milk was just not good enough and my children would demand feeds every 2 hours, I was tired and cranky and the formula was pure heaven for me.
(emily still cant have cows milk she is lactose Intolerant and has has been since we tried it on her, we have tried to re introduce it as per the doctor several times but she gets sick each time and has alllergy reactions to it.
so she has lactose free milk but she calls it cows milk as it has a picture of a cow on the carton....)

Mummy25- how long ago did you have your tubes clamped? Did the Dr say they would just remove clamps or rejoin the tubes aslo? because I dont know if you would have much luck falling pg if they only take the clamps off because I would think that the tubes would have scared up where the clamps are.. If it were me I would ask the question first before you go in for the op..
Em hows things in your household? hope you are all doing well.
Well Im now in the ttw part of this cycle, not getting my hopes up but am preying for a BFP..

I had it done in 2003 & have had 2 babies & trying for a 3rd.
He did the "look & see' first via a lap but cos everything was fine he went ahead & done the reversal at the same time.

it took me 12 months to fall with Zaccie, actually to the day of the op lol, funny coincidence then I fell again srtaight away with Angel, but have been trying for 11 months now kind of doing my head in this time, I'm not getting any younger !!!

Haha as for being here, I hate it it is hell, such a crappy dog ass hilly billy **** hole lol, house is going great I wish we could take it back to civilization. We are going to be moving in a few more weeks, way earlier than planned thank the heavens cos seriously, I would go mad if I had to stay here it is a disgusting poor excuse of a town! The mining is going good though DH will be coming back to mine & I will be staying in our new place, where they have power & running water & this stuff ,called grass LMAO I cant wait.

Im new to this site so i hope you dont mind me asking a few questions?
Please let me tell you my story i have had 4 kids and been married for 20yrs but after my last child i had a tubal ligation done as my Doc told me he will put a clip on it and when i wont more kids just come in and take it of haha not as easy as that.Anyway so now my kids are all teenagers i feel clucky again,so iv had to think what should i do go with tubal ligation reversal or IVF,well im now on my first try of IVF hoping it will work straight away.My questions are has anyone had a tubal reversal?if so how painfull was it?Did you get pregnant?how long did it take to fall pregnant?would love to chat.

I had a TR a while ago now & have had 2 babes since, it took us 12 months to get my first TR babe & only 1 try for the 2nd, so far 11 months for this one. I will say that yes the op is painful however I had a haematoma form so that made mine a bit worse. We had to decide between the TR & IVF we chose the tr so we could have more if we wanted.

Thanks Jo:) its so good to hear you have had success with your reversal.Is there many other ladies that you know have had success??Deciding IVf was so hard for me as i had booked up both my reversal Doc and IVF Doc at the same Month and had to nail it down really quick,at first i wanted to do a reversal because i also want more than one more but then i got scared about being cut ect and a etopic pregnancy and one Doc told me go straight to IVF its less wait, but even today i still think gosh i could be pregnant by now if i had done reversal hmm i think il give it one shot at IVF and if it dosnt work il go and get the reversal done.If you dont mind me asking how old were you when you had your reversal?also how long did you have your tube clipped?did the doctors seem positive after your op?sorry for the questions

I had my clips on for 7 years I think I was 32 when I had the op,& the doc was very positive for me he said everything went back together nicely.
Maz has had 2 babies after her reversal, but I'm not sure on anybody else, I haven't been around much lately.
The risk of etopic pregnancy was very scary but we got over it. We were offered IVF as well, but decided for the TR as I was having bad AF symptoms & the TR fixed that as well.

How far along into your IVF are you?

Hi ladies, welcome dearmum... I had TR in June 06 and fell pg in Sep 07, unfortunately I lost that little angel at 9 weeks. It was all very traumatic but on the up side we know we can get pg again. Another lady that lives near me had the reversal in Dec last year and I`ve recently heard she is expecting, so there are a few out there with great outcomes.

Storm sorry your not enjoying your new town, I`ve forgoten where it is you are but we have been to some pretty crapy outback towns so I have a bit of an idea what you mean (never lived there though) good that your heading back soon, maybe then things will settle down and you can get that BFP. Perhaps a new little one just doesnt want to be conceived in such a crapy dog ass hilly billy ****hole of a town...(ROFLOL that was great terminoligy spelling ?)

Well you know iv always regreted doing the tubal ligation i think the Doctor shouldnt of said anything about it i was still young and if i wanted something for protecting myself i would have asked hmm my bloods starting to boil thinking about it.Well anyway im on my third week of IVF at first i was worried about the drugs ect but now its like nothing iv had no side affects just cruising along,tomorro i go for my U/S to check how many follies i have and maybe on tuesday i go in and have them taken out yuck!I have my hopes up high that it works even though i know it can take a few times.My youngest daughter and i we always look at the baby section at the shops and choose what we want i have to stop myself from buying things:lol:So i thought i had a big family but you guys have more kids than me:lol:so how many do you guys want?i was thinking i want another 2 but dont care if its boys are girls coz iv got both atm they are the same at the end of the day.Well enjoy your night take care:hug:

Im in the process of getting my tubes reversed (on the waiting list), So hopefully by the end of the year i would be had the procedure and next year we will beTTC:crossfingers:

We were also offered IVF but decided that would be our last option if we cant conceive after the TR

Hi Karen:)thanks for replying,i think its great that you want to reverse it.I think i will end up reversing mine to as it is one of those things that we shouldnt of done and i wont feel happy unless its been reversed.Im going to give this IVf a good shot first and i think if it dosnt work il book myself into having the reversal,i have a Doctor hear in Perth that does it but i dont feel he would be as good as DR Woolcott or DR cooper so i would be tossing weather i should fly over there or just go with this doctor.Have you decided on your Doctor?Well keep me posted on your progress k;)

I had my T/R in 2006 but i had no luck and i didnt want to keep wasting time trying. I too was worried about having an eptopic pregnancy so IVF was the answer for us.
Away to cut a long story short we had 2 eegs put back and i just gave birth 2 weeks ago to a beautiful baby girl( not so beautiful at 2am lol). I trully feel blessed to have this little girl. It took along time and there were lots of highs and lows and it was really draining but it was so worth every minute of it.

Hi girls slowly starting to get back to normal(well im cooking and cleaning:rolleyes:).
I have put Breah on the bottle and things are starting to look up. At long last im happy again and i feel quite settled, Breah has brought peace to my life and made me feel hole again. I do love her so so much, sometime i look at her and i just cry cause she is just so special.

Hi Motherof6 ;);)Congratulations on your six baby wow you must be busy,but happy.How long did it take you on ivf?did you fall on your first go?you were lucky to have been able to put in to embies as im only allowed to have one each time,dame because i wanted twins.Today i had my scan but my follies arnt big enough so i need keep going with the stupid injections.Um how many follies did you get?also what size were they?i have about 10 but they are only sizes between 16 and 13 so still await.Well have a good day :)

Yes i fell first go with twins but one didnt go passed 8weeks and was removed when i had Braeh. I had lots of follies but so many of them were small. To too took extra drugs cause mine werent getting big enough quick enough so i had to take an extra shot each day for an extra week. It took about 12wks from when i started seeing the f/s to when i fell pregnant. We ended up getting 17 egg and 12 fertilized and we had two put back(much to there disgust).They grew the other 10 to blastie stage which is day 6. So we have 4 that made it that far which is an excellent result they said so there in the freezer. Mine where between 18 and 21 by the end they dont like them any bigger then 21 or there over done if you know what i mean.
So execided for you and your family, i know how tough IVF and the drugs can be on your body but believe me its so worth it.

Hi Motherof6:)Thanks for that,it gives me a positive out look.I must say you were so lucky for it to work the first time.Im sooo hoping it will work for me the first time because i cant stand all the needles and watching the clock 12hrs a day,but hey il keep at it for a while and if it dosnt work i think il do a TR and then let nature take place.Well got to go and pick up my kids from school have a good day;)

I was given a pretty high chance at falling first go because i had never in the pasted had any problems falling pregnant, never had a miscarriage and i was still pretty young. One in every three fall first go so i was told.
They advised against having two put back because my chances were farely high but we went against that as we didnt want to go thru the hole IVF thing again. Two was better then one in our minds. I remember my Ivf like it was yesterday, the alarm on my mobile would go off every 12hr if i didnt do it that way i would have forgotten for sure.
I went to a BBQ one day with my drugs on ice in my drink cooler, another time in the middle of a carpark after lunch with a girl friend. Things we do hey.
Here's :pray: you get some good eggs and you get to freeze some just incase. That way you dont have to go thru a hole cycle again.

Thanks Motherof6;)Yeh any advise at this stage for me is greatly appreciated.Yeh my Doc told me i have a 30% chance for it to work,hmm so i have 70% chance it wont work great figures:)Before i had my TL i was so fertile and same as you had no miscarriges,but i guess my age makes things different.I must say i find you are very lucky to have 6 kiddies at your age,if i was to turn the clock back i would love to have as many as the Duggers on foxel she has 17 and they all seem such a lovely family,i find most large families seem very close when they grow up.You know i feel miserable when i think i allowed my Doc to do a TL on me.Well i must stay positive.Do you think you will have more kiddies?

Oh ive watched all the Dugger shows and there on drugs seriously,17 kids there up to thats madness.
I love all my kids so much but im at 6 now and there is just not enough time in the day and i dont have enough hands to give them all the love and attention they all want and need.
In saying that i do have 4 frozen Blasties. They mess with my head abit because i know there there and i dont want to give them away but i dont want to put them down the drain either. So it really plays with my emotions on what to do with them. So to answer your question im so happy with what i have and i always said i would have anymore kids once i was 30 but those 4 little things make me very uneasy so i just dont know. If they werent there i wouldnt care to have anymore because im content. Maybe i'll just leave them where they are and forget about them.
I would have thought your chances were higher then that at 34 with no pasted history, more like 40 to 60% i think. I would check on that one

Hi Motherof6;)back again!i just had my egg collection today they got 8 out of me so im hoping at least 2 are good enough:pray:,yeh im a bit sore.I know what you mean about having frosties there waiting for you,i think i would feel the same,but knowing me atm i would want them all.Did i tell you i asked my doc about having 2 put back in and the answer was a big no,i feel its unfair as its my body i should have the last say:(

I`ve been charting this cycle so am a bit consumed with that atm, Im 8dpo and have been having cramps and sore bb for about the last 4 or 5, trying not to get my hopes up but am :pray: this month might be a good one.. I really wanted to be utd before my would have been due date which is in about 5 weeks, not because I want to replace my little angel but just to take my mind off that particular time..

Dearmum:clap: well done on getting 8 eggs. I was so so sore for a week after i had to take it real easy.
How are they going any news yet? Very unfair on our doctor telling you no but i would still ask again as i dont think they can say no. only if you were wanting more then two they can. Are you having having a day2 embryo transfered? I checked my clinic and they give a 40 to 50% chance at your age aswell. :pray: that the transfer goes well and you get :bfp::pink-babydust:

Dearmum thats so awesome that all 8 have fertilized. I had day 2 embryos put back so i guess your wait will be longer you poor thing. I :pray: all 8 make it to blasties stage as its not easy making to that stage. So execited for you tho gives me gooses

Dearmum no Im not doing IVF, I had a reversal in 06 so :pray: it has worked... I guess I can say it has worked because I know I can get pg just have to keep it there !!
8 dpo means 8 days past ovulation, you can normaly get a BFP by about 12 days past so not long before I can test, dont know if I really want to though incase its not good news.
Great to hear all your little eggies have come to the party... I agree with mumofsix keep onto them if you want 2 put back in, I know if it was me thats what I`d want too.
Iv`e been having a few symptoms but I could well be just wishing them up !! the mind is a powerful thing.......

Hi ladies back again;)well today my embies are at day 3 and 3 of them are excellent 2 are good and 1 is ok and the other 2 are dying.My transfer will still be on tuesday but not sure of the time yet.

em, hi hows your beautiful angel? haven't been in for a while, real busy with uni stuff. as for ttc still patiently waiting.... glad to see you are returning to normal.... well i have had normal af for the last two months. it has been unusal cause since the reversal, my af was late every month but regular. since the last hsg, for the last two months, they came on the exact date. i am having a scan tommorrow to check on the polycystic stuff- i am looking forward to seeing it cause i want to know how things are in there after the ectopic earlier this year.
dearmum, hi and welcome. had my reversal in dec 06 have had two ectopics but not to worry cause it wasn't actually inside the tube it was over the back of my ovary. you see i didn't have clips, my tubes were cut and tied. with clips you have a far better conception after clips. glad to hear about your eggies..
storm, hey have you moved? i hear you about the time. i so would like to have another baby, but can't go through with ivf. hows maz? has anyone heard?

karend, hope that everything goes really well with your reversal. just remember that you are the author of you health not doctors- its egotistical doctors that did this to us in the first place.

Hi Ladies:hello:Just a quick update on my progress.I was so happy today because not only did my embies get to blasto stage they went a little further,my Doc said they are the best they have seen in a long time so yeh that sounded good:clap:Well i only had 1 tranfered and my Doc said no one else in Australia would transfer more than 1 blasto so i need a miracle for twins.Well i guess so long its healthy.Motherof6 did you get all swollen in your stomach after transfer?well i was and i still am.Did you have accupunture?I had under gone 4 treatments because i heard it helps.So im now on the dreaded 2 week wait:dunno:Yeh i thought after the nurse told me not to do much today thats great kids and hubby can take over,NO Hope for that!yeh they cant live without me i think.

Em Breah is growing so fast, she is so cute..

I went with my sister to have her baby on Monday, a little boy Jackson Henry 7lb 8oz.
I had a little cry at the end wishing it was me but I hid it pretty good... She done a really good job was fairly quick, had nigly 10min apart from about 4 oclock Sun then 1 and 1/2 hours of 2 mins apart Mon morning waters broke and he was born 10 mins later.. and no pain releif.
I found it quite hard watching her go through that pain and not being able to do much to help, at least when its yourself you have something at the end to focus on but when your in a support role it sticks with you for a while longer.

Better go go work in a couple of hours

Mumofsix - breah is soooo beatifull.....

I had my pap tests come back and my diseases tests - all negative....
Phew .... no cancer, no nasties.....

I still want the ivf ....
I am hoping now that my doc has done the tests I can skip that bit when I see the gynocologist.

I just need to convince dh now.
he still wants me to have the op to reverse but he does not want to pay the costs that they want us to pay ($7600).....
I am explaining that ivf at sydney is only $1500 ? and that is the best way to get results.
Ivf up here in newcastle is about $4500 (and that is the by paying the gap).

dearmum - when I was considering ivf I spoke to them about having 2 put in and they said most wont do it.
she did however tell me which doctors were more likely to be convinced and which would not listen...

Dearmum,i was so very swollen and very sore for nearly two weeks i think. When i went back in on day two to have my tranfer i could only walk very slow but non of the other girls that had egg pick up the same day as me were. I had to after my tranfer use the crinone gel twice a day for two weeks i think,oh lovely stuff that was.

Funny about what they said about having two put back cause they even have a notice on the wall saying they will put back no more then two. It also says 2 doesnt give you more chances at getting one(which i think is bull). Look at me if i only had the one put back would i have Breah now? Or would have it been the one i lost? I often wonder if she was the first or the second embryo they put back. In my mind two is still better then one.
Cant wait till your Dh comes to the party on the hole thing. Did you tell him how high the chances of eptopic are after having a reversal?
Well Braeh was weighed today she is 7p 10oz so she is doing good now. She has been a little witch today and this is the first break ive had all day, i hate days like today. Well i better go and get some sleep before witchy poo wakes up.

Hi Mommy25;)Im glad to hear you are doing ok,its a blessing.Well iv always tossed between having a TR or IVF i became so close to having the TR done and backed out the last minute by another Doc saying IVF should be a much quicker way to get kids.Iv been amazed how easy IVF has been,i didnt get any nasty side affects at all.Yep i recomend it for sure.My out of pocket expence will be 2500 but they allow you to pay it off bit by bit,i would have been cheaper for me but i dont have private health.Yeh i think it stinks how they can say how many we are allowed to have put back in,i mean whats wrong having twins.Well i hope you can convince your DH so you can start soon.
