I just want to feel my bub moving!!

I am so impatiant!!

I had 13 week u/s Monday and all is well (bub at 7.5 cm and h/beat at 154bpm so right on for 13.5 weeks) and bub was moving around - it was awesome to see but now I JUST WANT TO FEEL IT!!

Do I really have to wait till 18 - 20 weeks!?!

I would love to feel bub as I thinkit would put my mind at rest that all was good b/w u/s?
Do I sound like a loony!?! I am currently 13w 3d and I think I am going to go insane waiting for 18 week u/s! After haveing a previus m/c I am quite anxious about loosing this much loved and wanted bub!

you definitely don't sound like a loony :) I was also super impatient about feeling DS move when I was pregnant, but due to an anterior placenta, I didn't feel anything until more like 22/23 weeks. But once it starts, it doesn't stop :D And I loved almost every kick, it's very cool.

I know, how damn unfortunate is that wait?!!

BUT, you might be lucky. Some do feel it earlier than others. I think I forst felt fetal flutters at sixteen weeks, but didn't feel the huge kicks until around twenty-two.

Are you get any bubble feeling in your tummy? The only way I can describe it is like when you need to fluff and you get little bubbles in your tummy... Well thats your baby moving :) I hope you have that.. 13 weeks for bub 1 might be a little early but I felt my first at 17 weeks :)

I try very hard to concentrate on my tummy and feeling things and I think that I have but then I dont know if im just making it up! hehe

I will just wait it out and hope and pray that its all ok in there!!

When you get a bit further along, lay in bed with the light on one night, and then after bewing still for a while take the doona off of your belly so the light shines on. This is how I first felt DS moving!

I was the same, I think most women are! Its such an exciting time and you just want to feel something to confirm that its true and that the bub is safe. The time will pass quickly and before you know it there will be stacks of movement. I felt the first movements at 18 wks. I miss being pregnant its so beautiful feeling the bub move!!

I'm still waiting too!!!! Arrrgggh I felt them first at 21 weeks with Izzy so thought I would feel it much sooner this tme around but my cheeky little monkey is hiding well in there!!! Good luck hun and enjoy your pregnancy!!

Not loony at all! You might not have to wait that long, I felt my first one at 16 weeks.

Unfortunately I had to wait till 28 weeks!! I went mad thinking there was something wrong but once she started she didn't stop. I used to drink lots of cold water if I wanted to feel a kick! - Sounds mean doesn't it!

Ok i so know how you feel. With #1 i felt her move at 15 weeks. This one i started feeling at 16 weeks (lil flutters before then and one small movement at 12.5 weeks) but ever since last week he hasnt stopped. I feel it now all the time. Mostly at night when im sitting down relaxing and sometimes during the day when im sitting.
Don't stress about it, bubs will be moving and kicking before you know it and once he starts he wont stop.

No thats perfectly normal :) I felt my first kick at 16 weeks with DS and this time around i felt it at 15 weeks. I find if i lie back propped up with pillows and have a really cold drink or something sugary bubs gets all kicky :D. Hope you feel it really soon hun xx

I felt my baby kicking at 17 weeks and it rapidly progressed to constant kicking in the bladder which made me feel almost incontinent, especially at night when I was trying to sleep. It lasted for about 4 weeks and it was really uncomfortable. I hardly slept during the night.

Now thankfully the bladder kicking has calmed down. Today I'm sure baby was hiccoughing, my whole tummy was bouncing around.

One thing you might want to consider: Thinner women tend to feel baby moving earlier. If that sounds like you, you could feel baby kicking in a few weeks.

They say the best thing to do is lie on your back in a quiet room. for 15min or so.. and it feels different.. i wouldnt personally say butterflies or bubbles.. as I have never felt butterflies in my uterus!!

I was about 22 weeks with my first pregnancy when i first felt movement. I was actually really worried about the movement starting as it just seemed such a weird thing to feel.

UPDATE:

I was lying on the couch last night and I had this verry stange feeling in my lower belly - like bubbles rising up from my V to my belly button - it only lasted a few seconds but it is nothing that I have ever felt b4. I havnt felt it since but it is still early I guess...

It's possible that was your bub.
I felt my first at 17 weeks. I didn't know anything about pregnancy & was only 17. One of mum's friends asked me one day if I'd felt her move yet. I didn't even know I would feel it. I thought it was just a baby & big belly! I didn't know they moved too!
That night I felt her.
I reckon it kinda feels like wind at the start.

I can't remember when exactly I first felt movements with DS... it was very gentle and slowly built up to something I knew was him, and I know I had felt him before the 19w scan. I was very apprehensive as I had lost my first bub at 12w, so had a doppler thing that my sister had bought off ebay (I was borrowing it, but can't this time since she is pregnant too). At least then I could hear the heart beat to put my mind at ease.

This time though I think I have a little rabbit in there! It's all legs (from the scan) and I am certainly feeling it already (but nice gentle tickles rather than hefty big boots in the guts!) I couldn't believe it at first. The very first time I called DH and said "I think I'm going crazy... I could have SWORN I felt the baby move! But it's way too early for that" (I was just over 13w). Then I saw the ob at 14w and she told me that it was very likely that I was feeling things as you feel it so much sooner second time around. Although with the movements comes additional worry as there are days when bub is reeeeeally active, and days where you don't feel a thing, so once the movement stops you can panic. But it is nice to get the reassurance when it does. Might have to get me one of those dopplers. The website I bought the baby breathing monitor off last time sells them quite cheaply and DH wants to upgrade our breathing monitor anyway as there is a new version out and the book says you should buy new pads for each baby anyway. The website we bought it from originally had it for cheaper than the cost of the pads here in Australia which is why we're leading towards the whole new unit, so I might just have to order the doppler with the new monitor!

I hear ya kafer_girl - I'm 18 1/2 weeks and I can't wait to feel movement!! I'm not sure if I already have or if it's all in my mind but I'm hanging out for it. I had a miscarriage in December though so I'm probably a little more paranoid than the norm! Best of luck!!
