Am I Seeing Things?
I lost twins at 11 weeks in May. We started TTC again this month which would be cycle three since the m.c. I am currently 5 days away from my expected AF date. Enduring the hellish TWW. Well I couldn't wait. I just had that feeling. I caved and tested early. The test this morning was not that revealing, I thought I could see a line, but very very faint. Even hubby had trouble seeing it, but reasurred me he could see it. Tonight I decided to waste another test and 'just check'. But I think it is definetely a faint positive. Am I right? Hubby can see it this time, definetely. I am terrified. If I am pregnant it's really very early and things can still go wrong. It could just be a what they call a chemical pregnancy, still a pregnancy in my book. I am feeling that heavy feeling in my tummy already though, which is hard to explain. But I have had it with all my pregnancies. It's the reason I tested in the first place, I just had a feeling I was. We would love to have twins again and have them stick this time. So I am sending lots of :stickyvibesgirl: :stickyvibesgirl: :stickyvibesgirl: my way, and to all the early preggy ladies out there. I wonder could it be twins again too? I know it's early. I have fraternal twin aunties and I think that was what our twins were. We don't really know, because we found out about the twins the same day I miscarried them. Really tragic, we are still very sad.
I am  that things go well, and I  that our twins have come back to us.....We would still be happy with one healthy bubba too.
Please stick little one

Hmm the 2nd one i can see a very faint line.
With Current bub i used a cheapy HPT and my line was that faint.....so i tested with a proper expensive one and got 2 very dark lines!
Good luck

Hi Kimbaz
Yes the ones I used are the cheapies ones. They are Forelife Extra and come in a pack of three for $7.94 or something. What brand would you recommend??
-
I love Clearblue digital.....i used that for my 2 DD's..but for this bub i used First Response Brand
-
very very faint on the second one
i had a faint line exactly like that with my bubs so i booked a preggy test with the doc a couple of weeks after and came back positive.
i would say at this stage tho i wouldnt get my hopes up, try another test in a week or so (if you can stand waiting that long!), or you could just do a test everyday until two dark lines come up!
wishing you lots of luck theres a little tadpole in your belly!

There is definately a second line. I am sending you lots and lots of sticky vibes!
-
Yeah to me I would be saying that is definately a positive! Check again to make sure, but i think congratulations will be in order..... :)
-
I can def see a line on the second pic.

I can see the very faint line on the first HPT and it's a definite positive on the second HPT. Congratulations! Yes, it is early and there's not much to do except think positive thoughts - and keep testing to see that second line getting darker, because it's so exciting!! Book an appointment to see your doctor next Friday for confirmation and support.
Sending you lots and lots of :stickyvibesboy: :stickyvibesboy: :D

I defanitly see too lines not faint at all.. It is lighter than the conroll but its still def there. CONGRATS Im sending sticky vibes.. Sorry you lost your twins..

Thanks so much for all your replies. It really helps to get a second opinion, and third, fourth, fifth etc :D I am still cautious about it though and don't want to get too excited. I will probably test again when AF is due, if she doesn't decide to stop by anyway. I have a lot of fear about getting pregnant again after losing the twins. When I had my other children, I think I very much took for granted that once there was that positive test, well that was it, we were having a baby. I never had any worries about my pregnancies, especially not early on. It was mainly as things got closer to labour day that I would begin to worry. Anyway, the fear is worth having a little bubba at the end of it. As long as things go well. We really just want to complete our family, eventually we will. I'll post again, with more results as I get them.
Thanks again

I have purchased more tests and done one last night and one this morning. Both are a pale positive. But no doubts they are positive. The brands I have used are Forelife Extra, I used these when I first tested. Last night and this morning I used the First Repsonse brand, both were positive and a bit darker this time. I also used the Confirm brand this afternoon, which I realised afterwards is not a brand that is good for early testing, but it was still a faint positive. I'm not sure how many more tests I will need before it sinks in. But again, I don't want to get too excited. No more testing now for a few days, AF is due on Thursday, so I will test again then.

Ohh I am soo hoping for the best. Everything is looking very positive. :)
-
I think its a definate positive, just very faint. I used the same brand the day my AF was due, and was about as faint as your 2nd one. Two days later I used a 'Confirm' test, which was a faint positive. Then two days after that I used Confirm again, and got a strong positive. So considering you did it so early before your due date, I'd say you are!
Best of luck!

this looks just like mine (also cheapy internet ones)... yep A BFP!!
CONGRATULATIONS GIRLY!
-
yep thats a positive!! :) congrats :D:D

I tested the night before AF was due and the day AF was due and these are the results. So I think it is positive. How do you cope with being pregnant again after a m/c? I am finding it hard. I am having trouble sleeping. I am only about 4 and a half weeks, and just every little niggle makes me nervous. Plus I am so emotional, I am so weepy and moody. My poor kids are probably thinking aliens have abducted Mummy, as I am not like this. I am not sure when I should see my doctor, probably this week or next week. I want to try and get an early scan done to put my mind at ease, but I am not sure if she will give me a referral or not. When I began spotting with the twins, instead of giving me a referral for a scan, she started going into details about what happens when you have a miscarriage, which I thought was inappropriate, as at the time, the spotting was fairly minimal. So I am going to try to push for one definetely. Thanks for all your support, not sure what I would have done without these forums after the miscarriage.

i just see it i wish u all the best that its a BFP

That's great news! Congratulations.
Sorry to hear about you losing your twins. It is hard dealing with all those emotions when you get pg after a m/c. I got a BFP at 9 DPO (or maybe 10, I think I O'd a day earlier than FF did), I was convinced in the lead-up to my AF due date that I'd have a chemical pregnancy. Then after I celebrated passing AF due date I was a nervous wreck in the lead-up to the next milestone which was at 5w4d the time I had my first spotting with the m/c bub. The next milestone was between 6w4d and 7w4d when the last bub died. Now quite far past that milestone, and the next one is 12 weeks (two weeks tomorrow!).
Sorry to hear about your GP's insensitivity. Maybe you could look at going to another one? I had one at my first appointment with my m/c bub who was pretty negative about the likelyhood of miscarriage (this is at 4w, before I'd even had any spotting), and didn't congratulate us until we were walking out the door. I saw someone else after that.
Good luck, sending lots of sticky vibes for this pregnancy.

Congratulations on the BFP!! You must be thrilled and I couldn't help but send some sicky vibes your way. All the best :)

I can't see the first one, but can definately see the second one :bfp:
I couldn't handle waiting, so I would go and see my dr in the morning and ask for a referral for a BT. That way you can also find out the hCG (ask for a 'beta hCG' or 'quantitative hCG') and you will be able to watch at what level it is increasing. Twins will increase the hCG quicker than one bubba. :happyforyou:
